“I don’t know,” Rosalie said, looking at him sadly. “I only know that if you hurt him, it’s the same as hurting me.”

“You really are good children.” Rebecca knew they must have had a private discussion and, apparently, it wasn’t a quarrel. It was good; at least they could talk things out properly now.
After dinner, Theodore and Rosalie chatted with Rebecca for a long time.

“Theo, make sure you get Rose home safely. If she loses even a single strand of hair, I won’t forgive you,” Rebecca said sternly.

“Yes, I’ll stay with him at the hospital until he’s discharged.” she replied.
“No wonder you look unwell. Taking care of him in the hospital every day must mean you can’t rest properly.”
