Chapter 12
“Miss Baker also said plenty of nasty stuff, the servant added.
Hazel was almost crying. She prayed the servant would shut up.
“Who are you to be so rude to her? Throw her out. The Jackson Group will end all collaboration with the Baker Group now and forever, Neil ordered.
Hazel went white. She collapsed on the ground. “No. Please, Gina. I was wrong. Mr. Jackson, please don’t do that. My parents will kill me.” Her family had done much to get the collaboration with the Jackson Group. If she ruined it, her family would hate her guts.
The other guests were also shocked, but relieved they weren’t Hazel.
Neil signaled to the servants. “Get rid of her.”
Two servants dragged Hazel to her feet.
“Hold on,” Gina spoke calmly.
Hazel was taken aback. The servants at her side froze too.
“You broke my medicine. You need to pay for it. It’s 4 million dollars, Gina stated.
Hazel was stupefied. Where would she get the money? However, she dared not refuse before Neil. She gritted her teeth and agreed reluctantly. “Give me a few days. She lowered her head, her eyes filled with resentment.
“You can leave now. Gina nodded at the entrance. Hazel was escorted out.
Neil cleared her throat and spoke, “Please, enjoy your time. And if anyone disrespects her again, don’t blame me for throwing you out too.”
Olivia kept her head down. Was that directed at her?
Lass, don’t stand around. Sit. Neil invited Gina to the inner rooms.
Everyone was shocked and envious. Only the main family and some close relatives could go there. Why did Neil like her so much?
Unaware, Cina followed Neil in. Olivia watched Gina, clenching her fists tightly.
Neil took Gina to the study.
There’s one bottle of medicine left, probably enough for half a month. I’ll prepare the other bottle within that time.” Gina said first.
Neil listened attentively and nodded. “What medicinal herb do you need, girl? Let me know.”
“You can’t get them. Gina shook her head. She grew those medicinal herbs herself.
Taken aback, Neil asked, “Anything else I can help with? Let me know.”
Sure. Il tell you when I think of something. Gina nodded.

Chapter 12
Neil looked at Gina. Although her outfit was simple, she had innate grace and charm. He really liked her. Besides, Cina had saved him. If she could become part of his family, it would be great.
“Gina, I already know you’re the biological daughter of the Miller family and the one who’s supposed to be engaged to Ethan. If you want, I can give it back to you,” Neil told her.
After Gina saved him from a heart attack, he investigated her and learned how her family ill–treated her and favored the adopted daughter. They even swapped the engagement to Olivia. Neil suspected the Miller family was out of their minds.
If Neil’s wife hadn’t arranged his engagement when she was alive and good friends with Gina’s grandmother, Neil would have canceled the engagement.
Gina’s eye twitched. She didn’t want Ethan. “No. I think they’re a good match. I give them my blessings. Trash should belong in the trash can. Gina didn’t want anything to do with them.
Neil sighed regretfully. An idea appeared in his mind. He still had an unmarried son. However… Neil’s face turned grave.
Gina noticed and asked, “Are you not feeling well? Let me take your pulse and check how you are, Mr. Jackson.”
Neil extended his hand. “Alright.”
Gina examined him and found everything normal. It seemed Neil had been following her advice. “It’s the same. Take the medicine three times a day after meals.”
“Sure.” The usually dignified Neil turned into a kind and friendly old man before Gina. After some hesitation, Neil asked, “Gina, you are skilled in medicine. May I ask who you learned it from?”
Gina raised a brow curiously. Why would Neil ask? “I learned it myself.”
Neil’s eyes went wide.
“What’s wrong?” Gina could tell Neil had something on his mind.
“I wanted to ask if you know a doctor named Genevieve,” Neil asked.
Rumor had it that Genevieve was the sole heir of traditional healing arts and an excellent doctor. However, no one had seen her true appearance or knew her real identity. Finding her was nearly impossible. Money was useless. It took a lot of luck to
hire her.
Neil thought that Gina might be Genevieve’s student After all, Cina saved him using only a medical bag.
Gina lowered her gaze. “Why are you looking for her?”
“Well…” Neil frowned. “It’s a bit delicate, lass. I can’t say much.”
Gina didn’t press further. “Do you doubt my skills and want to find someone better?” Gina could understand that. However, Gina did not intend to reveal herself as Genevieve to Neil,
