Chapter 526 I Am With Your
When they returned to the hotel, the restaurant was already lit up with brilliant lights.
Lysander headed straight past the restaurant entrance, making her way toward the elevator.
Josiah stopped her. “Eat some more. Earlier, you were in such a rush to take Aurora out that you hardly ate anything.”
Having said that, he didn’t even wait for Lysander to respond. He reached out toward Aurora, gesturing to hold her, and said, “Let me take care of Aurora. You go ahead and cat,”
Thankfully, Aurora had grown tired of playing in Lysander’s arms. The baby laughed and lunged forward.
As Lysander watched the scene unfold before her, she thought it was a pity that Josiah wasn’t Aurora’s biological father. Meanwhile, the child’s real father was somewhere in a hotel.
She gently shook her head, banishing the thought from her mind, and said softly, “I’m not hungry.”
Josiah pulled her close once more, asking, “Have you forgotten what the doctor said?”
Lysander confidently stated, “I’m just about to head back to rest.”
Josiah was even more reasonable than her. “You should at least have dinner before you go back. Otherwise,
which will if you get hungry in the middle of the night, a late–night snack will need to be delivered to you, still be a hassle for the workers.”
Thus, Lysander did as he suggested.
As soon as Josiah appeared in the restaurant, the waiter led them to a table that had been reserved in advance. It was the very spot where Lysander had previously sat, boasting the best view.
As night fell, the view from that window offered a scene even more unique than what was seen during the day.
Aurora was seated on Josiah’s lap, her tiny head tilted as she leaned on his arm, gazing outward.
Josiah maintained this seemingly uncomfortable pose.
As Lysander remembered the restaurant arrangements mentioned by the waiter when she had breakfast, she rose from her seat, saying, “I’ll go get the food first.”
Josiah halted and said, “Just sit down. I’ve already arranged everything.”
Just as Josiah finished speaking, a waiter came over, pushing a food cart brimming with dishes. “Mr. Guerra, these dishes have been prepared strictly according to the nutritionist’s recommendations. Everything, from the taste to the ingredients, has been chosen as per your instructions,” he said.
Upon opening the top lid, the waiter revealed three main dishes, one meat and two vegetables, along with an array of colorful side dishes. Each dish was full of color, aroma, and flavor, all of which were light yet nutritious. Beneath those, there were several small clay pots, each about the size of a bowl.
That was far more impressive than a buffet.

from him.
The waiter, understanding the situation, handed the menu to Lysander and asked her opinion, “Ms. Thorne, which soup would you prefer? The soups are simmered over a low heat in the kitchen. If there’s anything unsatisfactory, we can adjust it at any time.”
Finally, Lysander understood why the waiter had to deliver her meal using a cart. After glancing at the order, she said, “The pumpkin soup will be fine.”
The waiter carefully placed the pumpkin soup on the heat–resistant mat in front of her. After lifting the lid to let it cool, he began to arrange the remaining dishes on the table. The plates were not large, but their charm lay in the variety of dishes, none of which were repeated. In no time, more than half of the round table was filled.
The cart was swiftly pushed away again.
Lysander looked at the spread of dishes before him, feeling a bit overwhelmed. “Are you trying to stuff me
to death or saving me for the New Year?”
Josiah was amused by Lysander’s question. “This is a meal for two. I haven’t eaten all day, and I also need
to cal.
Lysander hesitated, words caught in her throat, but in the end, she simply said, “Then, do your best.”
She genuinely wasn’t that hungry. Thus, she ladled a spoonful of pumpkin soup, blew on it until it cooled, and sipped it slowly. She only occasionally picked at the vegetables and barely touched the main course.
Fortunately, there wasn’t much going on at the moment, allowing them to take their time and enjoy their meal.
After tasting the stir–fried vegetables, Lysander asked, “The chefs here must be earning quite a hefty salary. right?”
Josiah nodded. “Does it suit your taste!”
Lysander set down her fork and continued sipping the soup. “It’s not bad.”
The look in Josiah’s eyes softened. “That’s good. I’ll give him a raise next month.”
The table was calm and quiet, and suddenly, the conversation came to a halt.
Aurora had grown tired of the scenery there, uttering an “Oh.”
Having nearly finished her meal, Lysander stood up and said, “I’ll hold her. It’s about time to feed Aurora. At this stage, children are growing rapidly and need to be fed every two to three hours.”
Josiah had left the room with a bag in his hand. He opened it, went to fetch some hot water himself, and used it to prepare the baby formula.
Lysander took Aurora’s bottle and sat back down, supporting Aurora’s back with one hand while lifting the bottle with the other.
Once Aurora had had her fill, two more customers entered the restaurant.
Beaming. Dillon greeted Josiah in an almost ingratiating manner. “Mr. Guerra. I heard that the view here

is quite spectacular. Since you’ve been staying here frequently, I decided to bring her along and booked a room. Upon our arrival today, Erealized that the hotel’s amenities are even superior to a five–star establishment. The chief is top–notch. The aroma of the soup he prepared earlier reached me from afar.”
Josiah glanced at the father and daughter. “Didn’t you go back? What, is there something else?”
Under her father’s guidance, Tiffany also took the initiative to greet them. “Jose, Lysa, are you two discussing something important?”
With a nonchalant expression, Josials countered, barely a hint of emotion in his voice, “It’s just a meal. Who told you we’re discussing something?”
With an innocent look, Tiffany explained, “No, it was just a guess on my part.”
Having
aid that, she looked toward Lysander somewhat pleadingly, appearing rather aggrieved.
Lysander met Tiffany’s gaze, but unlike before, she didn’t speak up for the latter. Instead, she acted as if she didn’t see Tiffany and continued with her own business.
Aurora didn’t show much interest in the two new arrivals, continuing to giggle and play with Lysander.
Dillon noticed a slight chill in the atmosphere, so he animatedly said, “Mr. Guerra, it was I who sent Tiffany to meet you. I heard that Ms. Thorne took good care of Tiff during the summit in Apex City. So, I thought it was only right to thank her personally.”
As he spoke, he never once looked directly at Lysander. Instead, he was solely focused on observing Josiah’s attitude.
Josiah spoke up on behalf of Lysander. “There’s no need to go to such lengths. She’s always been kind to others and ready to lend a hand. She won’t mind this trivial matter.”
Josiah’s demeanor had noticeably turned icy, leaving Dillon in an awkward position. His hand dropped to his side as he spoke. “Well…”
Cradling Aurora, Lysander wanted to stand up. “You guys continue your chat. I’ll take Aurora home first.”
“There’s nothing much to talk about. I’ll join you.” Josiah also stood up, busying himself with gathering Aurora’s belongings.
Tiffany broke the silence, her voice ringing out clear and crisp, “Jose, how can this be? It’s one Lysa to be kind, but I must show my gratitude in return.”

Before Josiah could open her mouth to speak up for Lysander, Tiffany had already taken it upon herself to sit next to Lysander. “Lysa, this baby is so adorable.”
Upon hearing the sudden loud voide, Aurora felt uncomfortable and rubbed her ears.
Calmly, Lysander shifted the baby to the other side, covering Aurora’s ears. She had no choice but to look at Tiffany. “Ms. Lanister, if you have any business, please deal with Mr. Guerra directly. There’s no need for small talk with me.”
