On the day when David was discharged from the hospital, Cynthia received a call from Isabella.
Isabella’s voice sounded excited on the phone, “Ms. Larson. A–Anthony’s awake. Do you have time to come to the hospital now?”
Isabella stammered, perhaps because she was too excited.
Cynthia heard her clearly

He wondered what had happened when he was in a coma
“Izzy, how long have I been in a coma?” Anthony stroked her cheek and asked sofily.
“More than a month,” Isabella answered truthfully.
