Chapter 47
“It’s just that my butt hurts.” Ella said.
To the hospital” Jaden said. His cold tone left her too intimidated to argue
So she followed him to the hospital, where he promptly grabbed a doctor and stid, “Examine her! Quickly!”
Seeing his urgency, the doctor thought something serious had happened to Ella and proceeded to conduct a series of tests.
But in the end, the results showed she was perfectly fine.
“She’s fine. If you’re still concerned, do a comprehensive examination. Some results may take a few days, the doctor said.
“Was there any bleeding” Jaden asked anxiously.
“None at all, the doctor sabl.
“That’s good then,” Joden said and breathed a sigh of relief.
“Jaden, what’s wrong with you
you?” Ella asked helplessly.
He turned his face awkwardly, unwilling to tell her he was worried about the child in her belly
That child was Harry’s. Just thinking about it made Jaden uncomfortable, and he didn’t want to say anything.
Jaden didn’t answer, and she didn’t press further.
Ella didn’t want to stay in the hospital, so she went back home with Jaden.
And on the way, she received a call from Harry “Lilla! just wait to kneel and admit defeat?”.
His voice was strained. He seemed to have been seriously beaten up.
Before she could say anything. Harry angrily hung up.
What a miscalculation. Now there was no need to worry about them finding her tricks.
They were probably both eagerly anticipating that day!
That would be great. On that day, neither of them would be able to escape.
Jaden had heard about the bet but hadn’t been worried at all. After all, Ella and Jenny were good friends, and everything was meticulously planned.
He thought Ella wanted to embarrass Grace and vent her frustration about the child in her belly. After all, it was because of Grace that she and Harry couldn’t get married.
So, in the end, Harry was still important. Even if Ella hated him, he still held a place in her heart.
Thinking of this made Jaden’s heart ache
If she couldn’t forget Harry, why was she so good to Jaden? Why had she promised a lifetime so easily!
She was truly a hypocrite.
Ella had no idea she had hurt Jaden so much and was complacently proud of the success of her plan.
Soon it would be New Year’s Eve, and Ella brought Cullen and her grandfather over
On New Year’s Eve, they stayed up to have a fancy meal together.
Ella even taught Jaden how to play cards.
She explained some rules to Jaden and had him try them, and he did surprisingly well.
Jaden seemed to have good luck or something, winning every round with high–scoring hands!
He was on a winning streak!
Everyone else had won rounds, but Ella hadn’t won a single one
Several times she was close, but Jaden beat her and won

Chapter 47
She felt something wasn’t right. Ever since the incident with Harry, Jaden seemed to have some grievances against her.
Ella was getting frustrated and said, “Keep going. I refuse to believe I’m this unlucky.”
“Miss, you shouldn’t continue. Your husband is too good. If you keep playing like this. I’ll go bankrupt Cullen lamented
“Harry is impressive Devin smiled.
Suddenly, Jaden said, I’m not Harry”
Ella’s brow furrowed. She realized what he was about to say and quickly covered his mouth.
Jaden looked at her angrily.
“Hmm! What do you call yourself if not Harry?” Devin asked.
“He’s Harry!” Ella quickly added, “Grandpa, we’re tired. We’re going to bed now. You should sleep early too.”
Ella brought him into her room, closed the door, and glared at him. “What are you trying to pull? What if Grandpa heard that?! You almost…”
Before she could finish, her mouth was suddenly covered. Then she was pinned down on the bed.
She wondered how this happened
Jaden was breathing heavily, his eyes red with anger, looking at her with anger.
I don’t want to be anyone’s substitute. I have my own name! Jaden said.
Ella knew she had wronged him, feeling a little guilty. He was badeed foolish, but not completely ignorant.
ป
“Grandpa is sick. Can’t you help me?” Ella said.
“No.” Jaden id.
“It’s not the time to be stubborn. I’ll buy you sweets and take you out to o play more often. Jaden, I
Jaden said, “What did you call me!
Ella said, “Jaden?”
Jader said, “Next sentence.”
la said,
Ella said, “Good husband?
“Whose?” Jaden was surprisingly serious,
“Mine?” she tentatively replied.
“Linked together?” Jaden said
my good husband, won’t you help me?”
Ella said. “My good husband? Do you like that title!” She peeked at his cars. Sure enough, they were red. She realized that Jaden was shy. “Is that what I should call you from now on?” Ella asked
Jaden nodded proudly.
This was going well!
Ella said, “Oh, my dear husband, could you help me out? Grandpa’s condition has finally stabilized, and I don’t want to upset him. Once he’s fully recovered, I’ll introduce you properly. You’re not a stand–in for anyone. You’re just you, Jadent“
This statement slightly satisfied Jaden, so he stopped arguing with her for now.
He got up slowly, yawning “Im tired.”
Ella said. “Then go back to your room and sleep.”
She dismissed him, also feeling a bit tired. After all, she had to get up early the next day to wish her grandfather a Happy New Year.
She escorted Jaden back to the guest room, only to find Devin waiting at the door,
His ear was still pressed against the door, making it hard not to suspect he was eavesdropping.
“Grandpa, what are you doing? Ella asked.
Chapter 47
Devin tactically coughed and said, “Had too much to eat, just taking a walk for digestion. What are you two doing here?”
Tim going back to sleep” Jaden thought for a moment and replied straightforwardly.
He was somewhat hopeful Was Devin especially eavesdropping on Ella because he
Sure enough, Devin got anxious as soon as he heard this.
Devin said. “Did you two quarrel? How can a couple sleep in separate rooms?”
“Jaden, you’re silly!” Ella whispered, feeling embarrassed
“Ella, did you quarrel with Harry Harry, Ella is spoiled by me. You might need to tolerate her, Devin said.
‘Grandpa, we didn’t quarrel, Jaden said.
“Then why sleep separately? Devin asked.
“We didn’t” She quickly denied, “He means, he snores at night, and he wants me to have a good night’s sleep on New Year’s Eve.”
“Really?” Devin asked.
“Would I lie to you?” Ella said.
“Alright then! Good night, Devin said.
He called Cullen over and began moving things out of the room, the sofa, lounge chair, spare bedding, silk quil, and more.
He didn’t give the young couple a chance to sleep separately.
“Okay, now you can go to sleep. Remember, couples should love each other. Devin said, leaving satisfied.
Ella was dumbfounded. When did Devin become so cunning?
What should she do now! She had to share a bed with Jarden. But, she wasn’t really against it.
