Chapter 1843
Alaric quickened his pace as he headed for the hospital exit, with Georgia following closely behind, holding their child in her arms. Just as they were about to leave, Alaric suddenly stopped in his tracks, a deep frown on his face as he stared ahead.
Coming towards them in hurried steps was a middle-aged woman, someone Alaric recognized all too well.
“Alaric, where’s Alar?” Angelina rushed over, her expression anxious. Initially, she hadn’t noticed Georgia standing behind Alaric.
Upon reaching them, she quickly asked her question, only then noticing Georgia and the child in her arms.
Angelina’s eyes lit up as she moved past Alaric towards Georgia. “Georgia…” Before she could say more, her gaze fell on the child in Georgia’s arms, her expression turning ecstatic as she reached out to touch the child’s cheek. “Oh my, this must be my grandson Alar, isn’t he just adorable? Come to grandma, let me hold you.”
Angelina excitedly took the child from Georgia, her face radiating joy and affection.
However, upon noticing the bump on the child’s forehead, her expression turned serious with concern. She asked Alaric, “Did you see a doctor? What did they say about this bump on my grandson’s forehead?” Ads by PubFuture
Alaric knew immediately that Georgia must have called Angelina here, probably exaggerating the child’s injury.
He could guess that Georgia had bad-mouthed Hertha, adding fuel to the fire.
Casting a displeased glance at Georgia, Alaric reluctantly answered Angelina’s question, “It’s nothing serious, just a superficial wound.”
“You, how can you be so careless as a father? Your child has such a big bump on his forehead, and you don’t seem to care at all!” Angelina scolded, hitting Alaric’s shoulder in frustration.
The child seemed frightened, his eyes timid. Held in Angelina’s arms, he tried to squirm away but had nowhere to hide, eventually just nestling against her.

Thinking the child was just being coy, Angelina’s heart melted. She held him closer, cooing, “Alar, it’s okay, don’t be scared. Grandma’s here to protect you. I won’t let any mean lady hurt you, and I’ll make sure your dad takes good care of you…” Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Her words were clearly meant for Alaric.

He was unhappy with Angelina’s misunderstanding of Hertha and said sternly, “Mom, don’t jump to conclusions. Hertha didn’t hurt anyone. It was just an accident!”
Angelina’s expression hardened as she retorted, “Did I even mention Hertha? If you’re so sure it was her, it only means she must be at fault!” “Mom, stop it, or I’ll really get mad!” Alaric fumed.
“Whimper, please don’t fight, I hate fighting… The child in Angelina’s arms suddenly began to whimper like a frightened little animal, covering his ears, a shadow of fear across his face. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Alaric paused, realizing the impact their argument might have on the child.
Angelina also calmed down, gently

sweetheart, don’t cry. It’s all

Georgia looked at Alar with worry, saying, “Alar has always lacked a father’s love, which is why he’s so timid and a bit introverted.”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Her words hit Alaric hard, making his heart skip a beat.
