Chapter 1826
Reginald’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Susan. “What did you say?”
“You heard me loud and clear, didn’t you? Why ask again!” Susan retorted, her tone firm.
Despite the pounding headache that felt like her head was splitting apart, she couldn’t afford to show any signs of weakness or cry out in pain. No one cared about whether she was hurting anymore.
Ever since her parents passed away, it felt as though no one in the world cared about her feelings or whether she was suffering.
Losing her parents made Susan realize how cold and malicious the world could be. Just surviving had become an uphill battle.
She was no longer the pampered darling she used to be, cherished in the palms of her loving parents.
It was the harshness of the world that made Susan cherish the memory of her parents even more, regretting that her desire to be Lysander’s woman had led to their demise.

Without her parents, life became even tougher.
Reginald stood before her, his gaze fierce. “Good, I’ll be ridding my mother of a problem!”
With that, he bent down and grabbed Susan by the neck, squeezing hard, intending to choke the life out of her.
“Ah…” Already in pain, Susan felt her throat constrict, her headache intensifying, as she started to lose consciousness, her eyes rolling back, foam forming at her mouth.
Reginald, on the brink of rage, was too engrossed in his fury to notice Susan’s deteriorating condition.
Just as Susan’s body began to convulse, a stern voice called out from behind, “Reginald, stop this instant!”
Hearing the familiar voice, Reginald turned to see Joshua standing there, his expression grave.
Reginald, still harboring fear for his father, instinctively released his grip. Susan collapsed onto the couch like a deflated balloon, convulsing, foam still dribbling from her mouth.
Joshua rushed to Susan’s side, checking her condition. Her situation was dire; her neck was broken, and she was barely hanging on. Joshua glared at Reginald, “What were you thinking? This is a human life we’re talking about. Do you plan to end up behind bars again? Let me tell you, if she dies, I can’t save you this time!”

Reginald retorted angrily, “Do you even care about Mom anymore? Having an illegitimate daughter, Thalassa, was bad enough! Now you’re keeping another woman on the side!”
“You…” Joshua was speechless with
rage. Finally, be sighed and said,

“She’s not someone I’m involved with, but it’s complicated and not something I can explain right now. Regardless, you shouldn’t have even thought about killing her. Don’t you realize how many charges are already against you? Do you really want to add an irreversible one to the list?” Content belongs to NovelDrama.OrgNôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
Joshua was utterly disappointed in his son, a true lost cause.
“I barely touched her, and she’s all convulsing and foaming at the mouth like an ant that’s been stepped on!” Reginald scoffed.
He had not expected Susan to be so fragile, reacting as if she were made of paper, crumbling at the slightest touch.
Grinding his teeth, Joshua glared at Reginald before hastily dialing 911.
No matter what, Susan couldn’t die, especially not at Reginald’s hands.
Soon, the ambulance arrived and took Susan away.
When Thalassa and Lysander arrived back at the Royal Estates they were greeted by a tall, slender woman with short hair standing at the entrance, holding a medical kit. She didn’t enter, just waited there. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Seeing Thalassa and Lysander approach, she turned to face them, her gaze lingering.
