Chapter 31 Eric My life sucks at the moment. Even though I’ve been a hybrid for a month already, I still don’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I have yet to learn how to control my thirst for blood, but I’m not sure if I will ever be able to do that. It’s not easy to ignore the throbbing feeling in my chest and the saliva which gathers in my mouth whenever I look at someone’s veins. Yet, despite this, Five and Logan trust me. Or at least I think they do since we are currently sitting in a limousine instead of spending time in my prison cell. Things are still rocky between me and Logan. I still consider him a traitor for forgetting me as soon as Five came into the picture. Like, I get it, she is our mate, and she is important, but the bastard hasn’t even visited me on his own even once! “This is perfect,” Logan says and nonchalantly lifts his champagne glass toward the open window. “Perfect?!” I growl and cross my arms over my chest. “It’s better than the prison cell, but I wouldn’t call this perfect.” Five gives me an uneasy smile. It’s the same one she has given me ever since I turned into a hybrid. It tells me she is afraid of me, but I’m choosing to ignore that. “I know this isn’t the cafe like you wanted, but like you said, it’s much better than the prison cell.” I pout. “I guess…” She snorts and leans her head against my arm. I’m sitting on her left, while Logan is sitting on her right. She is tiny compared to us. Tiny and cute and oh–so–sandwiched. I want to hug her so badly, but the scent of her fear is in the air–another reminder of her not being Emergency calls only Chapter 31 perfectly fine in my presence yet. It leaves me with a lump in my throat. 94% 11:46 “Oh, and I’m seeing your father tomorrow. Alone,” Five informs us and sighs. “I know he is probably trying to trick me, but I need to see him. He might know something about the murder.‘ I wrinkle my nose. “Emily…right…” I notice that both Logan and Five are staring at me, and I roll my eyes. “No, it wasn’t me who did it. I was locked up in the basement, remember? There was no way for me to kill that girl.” Logan clears his throat. “We know it wasn’t you,” he says, his voice firm and reassuring. “We i just need to find out who did it before they can frame you for it. The whole pack is convinced it’s the vampires, and if they learn that you were newly turned into a hybrid, the blame will fall on you.” I nod, knowing he’s right. The murder has been weighing heavily on my mind ever since we found out about it. Emily was brutally killed; only a sick person could have done it. “So, what’s the plan?” I ask, looking between Logan and Five. “What can I do to help?” Five takes a deep breath. “Well…we honestly just need you to stay locked up in the basement, Eric.” Logan nods in agreement. “Yes, you stay there while we will be doing most of the investigation,” he adds. “It’s safer that way. For all of us.” Frustration swells up inside of me. Logan won’t even look at me when is talking to me, and Five looks uneasy as if she is expecting me to attack her. I grit my teeth and clench my fists, trying to fight back the anger that is boiling inside of me. “Fine. I can stay in the basement. I knew I was going back there anyway, but would you PLEASE stop looking at me like I’m a monster?!” Emergency calls only Chapter 31 094% 11:46 Logan and Five exchange a look, and then Five places her small hand on my thigh. “Eric, we don’t think you’re a monster. We’re just trying to keep everyone safe. You’re still new to being a hybrid, and we aren’t sure how you will react to certain situations. But you’re not a monster.” “Then why are you shaking?” I demand. Guilt crosses Five’s face. “I…I don’t know…” “You’re lying,” I meet her eyes and have to fight back my tears. What is the matter with me? I used to be the tough and grumpy brother, not the emotional one. “I bet it’s taking you all of your mental strength to even ride in the same limousine as me, huh?” Logan puts a hand on my shoulder. “Eric, Five is doing her best. We are all trying to come to terms with what you have turned into. It’s not easy for any of us.” I take a deep breath and glare off to the side, feeling ashamed of myself for getting so … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 31” »

Five hasn’t had the easiest childhood. She was born without a wolf that never awakened on her eighteenth birthday, and because of this, her parents mistreated her while the rest of the pack bullied her. It’s harsh, but that’s how life is for a werewolf without a wolf. Five is worth less than an Omega and expects herself to live as her parent’s slave until the day she dies. But her life takes an unexpected turn when her past bullies, the Alpha twins Eric and Logan, take her in as their pet. They are cruel and relentless, so Five doesn’t understand her deep attraction toward them. It makes no sense to like your bullies, just like it makes no sense to suddenly discover there might be something special about you after all. Perhaps there is more to Five than meets the eye?
Chapter 30 Five After spending the entire night with Eric, I’m doing the walk of shame…if it can even be called that, since we didn’t have S*x. We spent the entire night cuddling. It was probably more romantic for me than it was for Eric since he had to fight his bloodthirst the whole time. As I walk down the corridor, Logan rounds the corner with a mischievous smile. “Did you sleep with my brother last night? Is the deed done?” he asks. I roll my eyes. “No, we didn’t have S*x, and he didn’t mark me either. That’s something we must do when we are all three together, right?” His lips twitch with amusement. “Right…anyway, there has been a murder during the night. The werewolves in our pack are blaming the vampires, and Margaret is crying inside your office since she claims her people are innocent.” I blink. “My office?” He grins. “You apparently have one now. Margaret is waiting for you in the office upstairs. My father isn’t happy about it. Come to think of it, he hasn’t talked to you yet, has he?” Terror grips me. “About what? Why would the former Alpha want to speak with me?” “Uh, because you’re my mate? You’re also Eric’s mate, but of course, that doesn’t matter to him since we are keeping him in the dark about Eric’s resurrection.” I swallow hard, my heart pounding in my chest. “Right, of course.” I follow Logan up the stairs to my office, trying to ignore the glares from the cleaning staff from our pack and the tension in the air. I can sense the anger and fear rolling off of them in waves. They don’t want the vampires on our side or part of the pack and probably blame me for taking 1/4 Emergency calls only Chapter 30 them in. In their eyes, the murder is my fault. 094% 11:45 I shake that thought away and open the door. Margaret is sitting in one of the chairs in front of the desk that is now mine, her eyes red and puffy from crying. As soon as I enter the room, she jumps up and throws herself at me, sobbing uncontrollably. “Please, Luna, you have to believe us. We didn’t kill him. It wasn’t us!” she wails. I hold her tightly, trying to soothe the shaking pureblood. “I believe you, Margaret. But we need to figure out who did it. Can you give me any information that might help? Also,” I look at Logan. “Has anyone been at the crime scene? What does it look like?” She nods, sniffling. “Logan has been there. He can tell you in better detail.” Logan leans against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. “It happened sometime after midnight. One of your pack members, a young werewolf girl named Emily, was found dead this morning. Our pack is blaming the vampires.” Margaret’s are trying to make friends, not enemies! Plus, if we were responsible for this heinous crime, we would not have been so blatantly obvious about it–Emily was hung from the eaves of her house. And she was upside down! It was grotesque and not the style of a vampire.” s grow louder. “It wasn’t us!” she exclaims through her tears. ” I release Margaret from my embrace, nodding in understanding. “Thank you for telling me, Margaret. I believe you. And I will do everything in my power to find out who killed. Emily.” Logan clears his throat, drawing my attention to him. “There’s one more thing, Luna,” his lips twitch when he says Luna because since we aren’t mated yet, I’m not officially the Luna of the pack yet. “My father, the former Alpha, is waiting for you outside the pack house. He wants to speak with you. Alone. But if that makes you uncomfortable, I will with you.” go Emergency calls only Chapter 30 家团94% 11:46 I suck my lips into my mouth, considering Logan’s offer. I’ve never met his father face–to- face, but I know that he isn’t a good person. I heard him that night when he hit Eric and Logan, and since he got physical with his own sons, it says a lot about him as a person. But I can’t let my fear stop me from doing what needs to be done. “No, Logan. I appreciate your offer, but I need to do this on my own. Margaret, please stay here until I come back.” Π Margaret nods, wiping the tears from her eyes. I gather my wits and step outside, closing the door behind me. The former Alpha, Johan, is waiting for me in the garden. He is a tall man with broad shoulders and a thick beard. His eyes are cold and calculating as he looks. me up and down. “So, you’re my son’s mate and the future Luna,” he says, his voice dripping with condescension. “I heard you’ve already taken an office as your own. I stand my ground, refusing to back down. “I’m trying to help find out who killed Emily. We need to work together to solve this.” Joseph snorts. “I don’t need your help. My pack can handle our own affairs. You’re not the Luna yet, child.” I take a step closer to him, my eyes blazing with determination. “It doesn’t matter who or what I am. There are people that need my help, and I’m going to help them. It’s not just your pack that’s affected by this. The vampires are being blamed for Emily’s death, and if we don’t find out who really did it, there could be a war between our two groups. Do you want that on your conscience?” Johan’s eyes narrow into slits as his gaze shifts to mine. “You think you know what’s best for my pack, but you don’t understand the danger that comes with siding with the vampires.” “They didn’t do this,” I hiss. “They are innocent.” Emergency calls only Chapter 30 … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 30” »
Chapter 29 Five 094% 11:45 Another week later “Do you want to watch a movie or something?” Eric asks in a hopeful voice through the prison bars. His time in captivity has softened him and mellowed him from a hard–edged man to one desperate for any kind of love and attention. Every now and then, the old Eric returns, hist fearless and rebellious nature shining through like a beacon, but his old personality never stays for very long. I think it’s because the walls of this prison have drained some of his spirit away. He is no longer the same man. I hope it’s a phase and that he will return to his old self after we have found a way to let him out of here. But at the moment, he still lacks control. It was only yesterday when he tried to attack me. However, it might have been my fault. I cut my finger, and the scent of blood made Eric react and see red. “A movie would be nice…” I mumble, fingers already looking for a movie on my various streaming software. Eric moves towards the prison bars, his shoulders hunched as he slumps down to sit in front of them. He manages to look small even though he is just as huge as his twin brother, who towers over my own 4’9 stature. The twins are both around 6’6 foot tall, while I’m barely 5 feet. “I really miss you, Five.” I look up from my laptop. Eric is smiling faintly, but it’s a fake one. His expression looks startled underneath it, haunted. When he speaks, he sounds like he is suffering. “I…I really don’t want to be locked up in here anymore. It’s driving me insane, Five. I haven’t hugged 1/8 Emergency calls only Chapter 29 you in almost a month.” 094% 11:45 My chest constricts, and I’m having trouble finding words. I miss Eric too, but we both know his bloodthirst is making it impossible to let him out of his prison cell. He is a hybrid now and probably too strong to stop if he went on a killing spree. His eyes are always red now, indicating that he has awakened, and his every pore oozes with strength. “You know it’s for your own good, Eric. What if we release you, and you attack someone?” “I’ve been thinking about that actually,” Eric stares off into the distance. “What if I will never learn how to control myself because I’m locked up in here? I haven’t had any real practice.” “That’s because we wouldn’t be able to stop you if you attacked someone. Haven’t you realized that you’re much stronger than us now? You’re a hybrid, while Logan and I are just werewolves. We wouldn’t be able to hold you back; even if I have evolved as a werewolf, my power isn’t enough.” He grins. “You’re pretty f**king strong, Five. On that first day when I was just about turned, you defeated me.” My face flames. “That was before you had awakened. I doubt I would be able to overpower you now.” He presses his nose through the prison bars, fingers tight around the metal. “But what if you had Logan’s help? That would be enough, right?” I hesitate, and Eric sees my moment of weakness. He has gotten so good at reading me now that we have spent so much time together. “I can see that you’re thinking about it,” he points out and gives me his best attempt at puppy eyes. “Come on, Five. Just take me to a cafe. I need to see real people and just…live. Please?” 2/8 Emergency calls only Chapter 29 I snort. “But you don’t even like coffee.” €094% 11:45 “I do now when it’s the only human food that doesn’t make me want to gouge my eyes. out.” I roll my eyes at his dramatic reaction, but I can see his point. It must be terrible to be stuck in a cell all day, every day, with no human contact. I know Eric can be dangerous, but he is also my mate. It means I need to trust him. “Fine,” I finally relent. “I will talk to Logan and see if we can take you out for a bit. But just a bit, okay? And you’re not to leave our sight.” … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 29” »
Chapter 28 Five A week later “I told you she would make a terrible Luna,” a female from my pack whose name I don’t know mutters to her friend. We are about to run a pack hunt, our first one with the vampires, but I’m not excited. The whole pack hates me, probably because I used to be the runt of the pack, but now I’m about to become Logan’s mate and Luna. Most people must find that scary, especially since they have been so mean to me or just ignored me. “Yeah, it’s strange that Logan is so accepting of Five,” another female says. “His brother is dead all thanks to Five, and now we have formed a pact with the vampires? Like please, can’t he see that making her his Luna is ruining the pack?” “There is still hope,” the first female says, tapping her friend’s back. “Logan hasn’t officially made Five his Luna yet, so he may still come around and change his mind.” I try my best to ignore their whispers, focusing instead on the task at hand. As the future Luna, it is my duty to lead this hunt, and I won’t let their words distract me. This is the first time Margaret and her vampires are with us, and I need to make them feel welcome. “Ah, Five! There you are!” Margaret suddenly exclaims and holds out her arms before embracing me. Her hug is warm and filled with respect. It’s shocking how much more the vampires respect me than my werewolf kin. I pull away from Margaret and smile at her. “I’m glad you’re here. Our pack can definitely learn a lot from you and your vampires,” I say, trying to show my appreciation for her. Margaret’s smile widens, and she nods her head in agreement. “Likewise, Five. We can 1/7 Emergency calls only Chapter 28 094% 11:45 5 learn a lot from one another.” She looks around the forest. “Now, where is that handsome mate of yours?” “Do you mean Logan?” I curiously ask. “Or Eric?” “Logan,” she responds and releases a sad sigh. “No offense, but I wouldn’t want Eric to be out of his cell since we haven’t worked out a way to help him yet.” I can feel a deep, wrenching sorrow in the pit of my stomach as I think of Eric. The guilt of imprisoning him devastates me, but it’s for his safety. His overpowering thirst for blood prevents me from freeing him, and all that is left to do is keep him caged up for now. “I hope there is a way to help him,” I tell her in a low tone. I wouldn’t want anyone to overhear. We haven’t told anyone that Eric isn’t actually dead. “I would feel terrible if we had to keep him a prisoner for much longer.” “Same here,” Margaret says. “We are all expecting him to step up as the king of darkness as soon as he can control himself. I might be a pureblood, but Eric is a hybrid created from my blood and magic–once he has fully awakened to his powers, he will be much stronger than me. Therefore, we are all very excited for the future.” This is news to me. I had no idea Margaret wanted Eric to become the king of darkness. Is that why she is being so nice to me? Because I’m his mate? “I see,” I wet my lips, hesitating before asking, “Is that why you’re being nice to me?” Her lips form a smirk, but it’s not arrogant. “It was the reason at first, but I actually like. you now after spending so much time with you, Five. You have shown me a heavy load of respect even though I’m not a werewolf, and I appreciate that. Plus, I can tell you genuinely care about Eric.” I blush and look away, not used to receiving compliments from someone who isn’t my pack member. “Thank you, Margaret. That means a lot coming from you.” 2/7 Emergency calls only Chapter 28 094% 11:45 “Also, don’t forget: as Eric’s fated mate, the vampires will look to you for guidance, Five. Don’t take this the wrong way, I just…I just can’t handle being a leader.” “I understand,” I say, placing a reassuring hand on Margaret’s arm. “I’ll do my best to live up to everyone’s expectations.” Margaret smiles at me, her eyes shining with admiration. “I have no doubt that you will, Five. You’re stronger than you realize.” We fall into a comfortable silence, lost in our own thoughts. I can’t help but think of Eric, locked up in his cell, and wonder what he’s going through. Is he scared? Angry? Lonely? “I want to see him,” I say suddenly, breaking the silence. “Can I visit him again tonight?” “Why don’t you bring him something from the hunt?” Margaret asks and nods at Logan, who is standing further away and talking to a few vampires. “I’m sure Logan would give you some alone time with Eric if you asked him. Chapter 27 Five 095% 11:44 “It was the only way, Five,” Logan sighs and runs his hand through his black hair. “Locking up Eric wasn’t something I wanted to do either, but he was going wild after your blood. You saw what he almost did! He attacked you out there and hissed like a goddamn cat!” I pace on the ground, arms crossed over my chest. “He did, but I still don’t think it’s right. to lock him up in the pack dungeons. What are you going to tell your father once he finds. out your own brother is locked up?!” “He won’t find out,” Logan argues and places his hands on my shoulders, grabbing me so that I’m forced to look into his pleading eyes. I want to break free from him, but the look he is giving me is one of guilt. He didn’t really want to lock up Eric either. I get that now, and that realization makes me calm down. I take a deep breath. “Alright, okay… How do you know your father won’t find out about this?” “He is busy watching the football games, and since he still thinks Eric is dead, he is drinking away his sorrows. Eric was his favorite son and all.” My eyebrows furrow deeply as I listen to Logan explain the situation. The words feel heavy in my mind as I try to make sense of them. But no matter what, I can’t. Logan’s family is pretty messed up. “First of all, your father shouldn’t play favorites with his own children. Second of all, why isn’t he with you?” I question, struggling to understand the depth of pain Logan must be feeling. “Your father lost his son, and you lost your twin. He should be by your side,” I say softly, trying to offer some semblance of comfort amidst the chaos. 1/5 Emergency calls only. Chapter 27 D95% 11:44 Logan doesn’t answer the question. The silence between us is thick as we both know that. Eric isn’t truly dead, but their father doesn’t know that. “Anyway, we should probably check up on Eric,” Logan says, tapping me on the shoulder. “He needs blood, and I was thinking you could be the one to feed the newly awakened hybrid his first blood bag. Maybe his mind will clear after he has had it?” I shudder at the thought of feeding Eric, but I know it has to be done. “Fine,” I say, and Logan smiles. “I knew I could count on you.” We both head towards the pack dungeons. As we make our way down the long, dimly lit hallway, I can’t help but feel a sense of foreboding. The dungeons always make me uneasy, with their cold stone walls and the sound of dripping water echoing through the halls. It makes me think of the time when I was a lowly Omega locked up in my parent’s house… Logan leads the way to Eric’s cell, and as he opens the heavy metal door, I can feel Eric’s presence before I see him. He’s crouched in the corner, his eyes blazing red in the dim light. “Five,” he hisses as we step into the cell. “Why are you with him? You know he’s going to betray you.” “Betray you?” Logan questions. “You needed to be locked up for your own safety!” “I’m your brother!” Eric snarls back. “I’m also the second Alpha of our pack–I shouldn’t be in here!” Logan takes a step back, startled by the venom in his twin brother’s voice. I don’t know what came over me. It was a moment of weakness,” he glares at Logan. “And only a moment! I’m perfectly in control of my own actions and don’t deserve to be treated like an animal.” Logan winces, and I roll my eyes. “Eric, Logan only did what he thought was best for you.” Eric snorts. “Right…” “You don’t sound so convinced,” I point out. “That’s because I know the truth,” Eric growls. “My brother only locked me up in here because he cares more about you than he cares about me lately,” he holds up his hand and points an accusing finger at Logan. “He betrayed me! We are twins with an unbreakable bond, or at least we had a bond until he fell in love with you! Now I can’t hear him anymore, and it’s all because of a stupid girl!” Logan’s eyes narrow, but before he can do anything stupid, I hold out my hand. “It’s okay,” I say, trying to sound reassuring. “I got this. Chapter 26 0 Five My heart leaps into my throat when Eric attacks me. His large b*dy collides with mine, and suddenly, we are rolling on the ground with him hissing like an animal. It’s terrifying. I thought the mate bond would kill his thirst for me, but it only seems to have made it worse. Long teeth elongate from his mouth, and I hold my breath. Do I let him drink from me or not? He is my mate, and I want to be there for him, but something tells me he isn’t going to settle for a little taste. No. His eyes are crazed and filled with hunger–if he drinks from me, I’m probably going to wind up dying. He is a newborn hybrid; I doubt he can control his own strength and the amount of blood he will take. I struggle underneath Eric, his weight crushing me. “Eric, please,” I gasp out, trying to push him away. But he’s too strong. With his fangs bared, he lowers his head towards my n*ck. Panic sets in as I feel the sharp points of his teeth graze my skin. Then, in a sudden burst of energy, I kick him off me. Eric goes flying, crashing into a nearby tree. I scramble to my feet, adrenaline coursing through my veins. He’s not himself. Not entirely. The hybrid virus has infected him, turning him into something else. Something dangerous. And even though we’re mates, I can’t let him hurt me. “Stay back,” I warn him, holding up my hands. “I don’t want to hurt you.” “Listen to her,” Logan says.. Not when you’re like this.” For a moment, Eric looks like he is going to attack again. But then he seems to deflate, his b*dy sagging. “I’m sorry,” he whispers. “I don’t know what’s happening to me.” I approach him slowly, my hands outstretched. “It’s okay,” I murmur. He is so much taller than me that I can’t touch his beautiful face, but he seems to understand what I want and leans into my touch, allowing me to cup his face. “We will figure this out together, Eric. You’re newly awakened. It happens. I didn’t expect you to be able to control yourself.” Eric groans, his eyes closing as he leans into my touch. “I never wanted this,” he whispers, his voice heavy with regret. “I never wanted to be like this.” That gives me pause. “You…you didn’t want us to bring you back to the land of the living?” “Oh, I did, and I’m happy to be back,” he rubs his face against me and inhales the scent of my hair. I expect it to be fully romantic, but a snarl leaves his lips. “f**k…this hunger… I don’t like this,” he leans back, his eyes flashing red. This time as if he knows that he doesn’t look like himself. “I’m a freaking monster, Five. All I can think about is blood. You’re not a monster. You’re a hybrid. There are ways to satisfy your hunger without hurting anyone.” He looks at me skeptically. “How?” “Blood banks,” Margaret helpfully suggests. “They have synthetic blood. Chapter 25 Five Logan and I are standing in the cemetery, alone and silent, as we stare down at the casket that holds my second mate and Logan’s brother, Eric. We are here to say goodbye, to mourn his passing, and to grieve for what could have been. The orange sun is beating down on us through the canopies, and the air is cold, each breath vaporizing outside my mouth. I’m freezing and take Logan’s hand, squeezing it for warmth and comfort. Logan looks down at me, eyelids swollen from having cried the entire night away. “I don’t know what to do,” he says, his voice breaking. “He left without warning and is never coming back to us, Five. He was taken from us too soon.” I squeeze his hand harder and speak softly. “I will miss him too. I never had a chance to get to know him. It’s unfair. I see everyone else happy with their mate, but mine…” I sink my teeth into my bottom lip, sobbing before the next sentence leaves my lips. “Mine just died.” Logan pulls me into his arms, holding me tightly as I cry. “I’m here for you, Five,” he says, his own voice choked with emotion. “We will get through this together.” I bury my head in his chest, taking comfort in his warmth, in his scent, and in the mate bond. Even without Eric, I still have one mate left and pray nothing will happen to him. I couldn’t handle losing them both. As we stand there, holding each other, I hear the bushes rustle behind us. When we turn around, we watch as a mysterious woman steps out from them. She is wearing big black shades and a red velvet dress. It hugs her features perfectly and makes it even more strange that she came out of the woods. She looks like she belongs in a fashion magazine, 1/7 not in the woods. I continue to stare at her, and she smiles. “Hello,” she says in a syrupy voice. “My name is Margaret Toothchild. I’m an original vampire, and while I know you are mourning the loss. of your brother and mate, I’m here to tell you there is a way to bring him back from the dead.” “An original vampire? Bring him back?” Logan steps forward protectively, his eyes. narrowing suspiciously at the stranger. He looks ready to attack if he needs to, but I lay my hand on his arm to calm him down. Logan frowns at me. “We can’t trust her. I have too many questions, and everyone knows vampires are evil.” “Maybe not this one,” I say without releasing the vampire with my gaze. She is still smiling, and I exhale. “Why are you here? And why should we trust you?” “Because Eric was killed in an unfair fight,” she says. “The Bloodmoon Angels–my vampire clan and the Claw Howler Pack–our neighbors, the werewolves have been enemies for centuries. Eric was there to make peace with the werewolves, but they wouldn’t hear it. They thought he was working for us, and they decided to attack us. Eric came to warn us, but unfortunately, he was caught in the crossfire. He died, but we survived, and now we are in his debt. Therefore, I’m giving you the offer to bring him back as a hybrid, of course. I can’t return him to what he was, but with my blood, I can help him become something new.” I exchange a glance with Logan before turning back to Margaret. “Why would you do that for us? Even if you feel like you’re indebted to Eric, we wouldn’t have found out about it unless you told us.” Margaret’s smile widens. “We are hoping you will form a pact with our clan in exchange for bringing back your beloved Eric. You see, by bringing him back as a hybrid, he can serve as a bridge between us, the vampires, and you, the werewolves. He can help us negotiate 2/7 Chapter 25 a truce, and if we succeed, we can both gain something from it. The Claw Howler pack won’t stand a chance against us. And you want revenge, right? They killed Eric for no reason.” +5 Logan looks at me, silently asking for my opinion. I take a deep breath, considering the offer. It’s risky to trust a vampire, but if there’s any chance we can bring Eric back, it’s worth it. Plus, the idea of ending the centuries–long feud between werewolves and vampires is too good to pass up. I turn back to Margaret. “What do we need to do?” She steps closer, her eyes glinting in the moonlight. “First, you have to give me Eric’s b*dy. Then we will perform a ritual with my blood and the moon’s power. It won’t be easy, and there’s a chance he won’t come back the same, but I promise to do everything in my power to make sure he is still Eric…oh, and I also need a special flower that I believe only grows on Wintercrest territory.” “The Soulweep Rose?” Logan asks. “We grow those in our garden house. My mother used to be obsessed with them before her passing.” “Yes, that’s the one,” Margaret confirms. Logan and I exchange a look. I can sense his hesitation, but he nods his agreement. We both know that we owe it to Eric to bring him back, whatever the cost. “Alright,” I say, stepping forward. “We’ll do it.” Margaret grins, revealing her fangs. “Excellent. We’ll need to move quickly before the Claw Howlers find out what we’re planning. How about you meet me in the forest tonight? Pack up Eric in a car and bring him to the moonlight cliff. The rays of the moon hit it perfectly for the ritual to take place there.” Logan and I nod, our hearts pounding with anticipation. Chapter 24 Five “I thought you said Eric expected something to happen between the two of us while he was gone?” “He did,” Logan pulls me to him, resting his head over mine while I get to use his chest as my pillow. “That doesn’t mean he won’t be grumpy and angry that it actually happened. You might have to win him over. If I know my brother, he is going to be frowning for at least a week.” “Shit…I didn’t want to hurt him,” I whisper and try not to enjoy it too much when Logan strokes my back. But in the end, I can’t help but melt under his touch. “Keep doing that. It feels really good.” Logan snickers. “Wasn’t planning on stopping.” “Good.” He releases another happy sound. “You know, I really want to mark you, but I can’t. Not without my brother taking you at the same time. We need to mark you during the same session, and it might hurt because…you know.” I blink. “I know?” what is he talking about? He sighs. “We need to penetrate you at the same time. You need to be taken by both of us before the marking happens, or else you will only belong to one of us.” “Oh…I didn’t know that.” I admit. Then his words sink in, and my face burns. “Wait a minute… At the same time?! I need to have one in my…and the other…?” “Yes,” Logan burrows his nose into my hair and k*sses me like I’m the most precious thing 1/5 Emergency calls only Chapter 24 095% in the world. “But don’t worry. We would prepare you for that, and you get to have S*x with us one–on–one before that happens, so you feel safe with the both of us. I’m worried they won’t fit, that I will be too nervous to get wet between my legs, but I’m not going to admit that to Logan. “That’s good,” Logan murmurs and strokes his hand over my stomach, laughing softly. The sound makes me tense. “What?” “Nothing…I just think your belly is cuter than usual. 11:43 +5 My face flushes. “What? Why?” I demand, needing to know what he is referring to. Does he think I’m round or something? “Well,” Logan grins and lightly pats the bump of my stomach. “You ate a lot for breakfast today, and it shows.” I blush even more and try to push him away, but he only holds me tighter, not letting me reaction. my go. “Logan! Stop it!” I cry out in embarrassment, unable to hide He throws back his head and laughs, the sound deep and infectious. “You know… for such a small thing, you sure eat like a big guy. I’m surprised how much you’re able to wolf down when you put your mind to it.” “That’s because I was never given this much food back when I was treated like a slave and an Omega!” Logan stops laughing, amusement melting into tenderness and concern. “Right… I’m sorry for making you remember the old times. Shit. Are you okay?” 2/5 Emergency calls only Chapter 24 His hand finds mine, squeezing in apology. I am more than okay. I’m happy to know that he is concerned about my feelings, and his words confirm he is a good mate. “I’m fine,” I answer honestly. “But I’m starting to get hungry. You want to grab food somewhere?” “Sure. How about I take you to this luxurious restaurant with a nice view of the beach? I could call them and make a reservation.” “That sounds lovely,” I admit. “That’s the spirit.” Logan smiles and gives me a k*ss. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to grab a few things, and then I’ll meet you downstairs. Don’t go anywhere.” “I won’t,” I promise and smile when he pulls away. I watch Logan leave the room and then roll over onto my stomach, stretching and groaning. I feel all hot and bothered. My need for both Logan and Eric is growing to the point of insanity. I need to find a way to get Eric back into the house before I go crazy. I need to mark them and have them mark me… … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 24” »
Chapter 23 Five My heart is racing super fast, even though Logan is barely touching me. We are only cuddling, caught in each other embrace, and yet, I’m nervous. He chuckles close to my ear. “Your heart is beating super fast. I can hear it.” I gulp. “I’m very nervous…” Another chuckle. “That’s cute, and hey, just for the record, nothing is off the charts. You can touch me anywhere, Five. No need to be shy.” “Really?” He shifts so that we are face–to–face. “Yes, really.” I hesitate, my gaze slowly traveling up the perfect planes of Logan’s face. His eyes are hooded, almost daring me to reach out and touch him. He watches me with a smirk tugging at his lips, and I can feel the warmth of his intense gaze. I want to take the chance, but a wave of insecurity crashes over me, and I hesitate, uncertain. Logan notices my hesitation and moves closer to me. I can feel the love in his touch, and at this moment, everything is damn near perfect. Logan pulls away, a satisfied smile on his lips. “So,” he says, his voice soft and gentle. “Does this mean that I can continue exploring your b*dy too?” I nod eagerly, a rush of desire shooting through me. Logan’s fingers drift down my b*dy, tracing every curve and dip in my skin. He moves slowly, savoring every inch of me, and I shiver as his touch ignites a fire deep within me. As he reaches my hips, his fingers slip beneath the waistband of my panties, and I gasp as he brushes against my wetness. “You’re so ready for me,” he murmurs into my ear, his hot breath sending shivers down my spine. “I can’t wait to taste you.” With that, he drops to his knees, and I feel his hot breath on my inner thigh. I stand up on my knees and begin to explore his arms. They are huge and buff and so very hot. “You have such nice, strong arms,” I whisper, and he grins. “And you have such nice, soft hands,” he says, his voice husky. “I love the way you touch me.” I lean in and press my lips to his, our k*ss sweet and gentle. Chapter 22 Five It has been a couple of days since Eric left home, and he hasn’t contacted us in an entire day. Logan is worried about him, and so am I. Eric went to make peace with another pack, but so far, we don’t know how it’s going. He didn’t give up a lot of information when he called us. “Do you think we should go looking for him?” I sound as anxious as I feel, and Logan’s expression hints at him feeling just as helpless as me in this situation. “Hmm…” Logan scratches his chin with concern etched all over his face before he says, “I think it’s best to give him some time. Eric is a capable adult, and he knows how to take care of himself. Let’s wait a bit longer before we go looking for him and see if he contacts us.” I know Logan is right, yet I can’t help the feeling of panic clawing inside of me. Eric might be a bit of a jerk, but he is still my mate. So for the past couple of days, I’ve been picturing all kinds of scenarios in my head, and none of them were any good. What if Eric is hurt? What if he is in trouble with the other pack and can’t call us? As if reading my thoughts, Logan put his arms around me and hold me close. “Hey, come on. Eric’s a tough Alpha. He can handle himself. And if something did happen, he knows how to reach us. Let’s just wait and hear from him first.” I sway slightly in my place with a nod, unsure whether or not I will be able to sleep tonight. Logan is stroking my back, and I lift my head, locking eyes with him. “Would you mind sharing a bed with me tonight?” I ask in a small tone. “No S*x, but just some cuddling? Would it be cruel to ask that of you?” His eyes crinkle slightly at the corners, and his mouth curls up into a smile. There are deep laugh lines on either side of his face, and his skin looks very soft and inviting. He looks warm and so very handsome. “No, it wouldn’t be cruel at all,” he murmurs, pulling me to him and tucking me under his arm. His other hand brushes my hair away from my face as he tenderly k*sses the top of my head. “I think I will feel much better if you’re by my side. And I can also protect you if you’re beside me.” A chuckle rumbles from my throat. “What makes you think I won’t be the one to protect you?” I jest like a clown, flexing my arm in mock grandeur. I even puff out my chest before continuing to fool around. “I’m buff as heck after awakening as a wolf. I will beat up anyone that tries to hurt you, babe.” Logan throws his head back and lets out a hearty laugh. He looks at me with sheer amusement, shaking his head from side to side. “Babe?” he chortles. “You crack me up.” I love seeing him smile. It’s worth embarrassing myself a little to make him feel good. “I’m serious, though,” I say, my tone becoming more serious. “I don’t want anything to happen to you. To either of you.” I pause, taking a deep breath. “I don’t know what I would do if I lost you and Eric.” Logan’s expression softens, his hand still stroking my hair. “Hey, we’re not going anywhere,” he reassures me. “And even if something did happen, we will face it together. We are fated mates that stick together.” I sniff. “Then why hasn’t Eric called us back yet?” “Oh, Five…” He tugs me closer, and I snuggle into his chest, feeling a wave of contentment wash over me. His presence is like a balm to my fears, and I sip them away one by one as he holds. me in the darkness of the night. I grip his shirt. “I’m afraid Eric won’t come back…” 0 Logan’s hold on me tightens. “He will, but in the meantime, I will be here for you, Five,” he murmurs into my hair. “You can always rely on me, and I’m sure that Eric will contact us soon. This isn’t the first time he has gone incognito. He will be back. Trust me.” Η His reassuring words make me collapse against him, and I’m immediately hit with a wonderful scent. “You smell like cinnamon…” I mutter into his shirt. HA chuckles. “Do you like that?” “Mhm,” I hum in agreement, my eyes fluttering shut as I inhale the comforting smell of his scent. Logan continues to stroke my hair, and his touch soothes me. It’s like I’m in a cocoon of safety and warmth, and nothing can touch me. I savor the feeling until Logan steps back. “How about we get in bed?” he asks. “We can sleep in mine, and if you’re afraid I’m going to try something, just build a little pillow fort in the middle.” I laugh, the sound filling the space between us and lightening my heart. “I trust you, Logan. I don’t need a fortress.” He grins. “Good. Because I was going to suggest we cuddle.” I bite my lip. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” “Why not?” He steps closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Wasn’t it what you wanted?” “Yes, but…it might be tempting,” I answer in a low, husky voice. He takes another step closer, his gaze darkening. A second later, his fingertips are stroking my jawline. He breathes, and I feel his breath k*ss my skin, “And what if it is?” 3/7 My spine tingles with anticipation. I want to cuddle with Logan, I do, but in this state, when I’m afraid and lost, I might end up doing other things to Logan.
