Chapter 61 Paula my fiancé. “What do you mean you have two dads?” I whip around in the car seat and stare at Henrik proposed as soon as he realized I don’t believe in everlasting love. His exact words were, “I know you don’t believe me when ! say I’m not going anywhere, but perhaps a ring will make it easier! You’re a human, and I want to respect your traditions, ton.” And now we are engaged and on our way to his parent’s house. There is just one detail: he forgot to mention his mom is married to twins. They are poly, which I’m cool with, but now I don’t have a gift for both of the dads! I only bought one bottle of aged whiskey. “What am I going to do now?” I wail, clutching the Bordeaux leather case that protects the whiskey. This isn’t a bottle you would find on a standard liquor store shelf. No, this is a twenty–five–year–old Glenlivet Single Malt, a gift for a gourmet. Henrik glances at me with a mixture of endearment and mild amusement. “How did you manage to pay for that bottle? No offense, but that bottle is well above your paycheck, and you refused to use my card to buy a gift.” I hug the bottle tighter. “I won this during poker night. It seems vampires are terrible players.” Henrik chuckles. “Is that right?” “Yes, humans rule.” He grins. “My parents are going to love you.” “No, they will hate me because I’m only bringing one bottle of whiskey!” “Relax, darling. My dads share everything. They won’t mind sharing this splendid gift.” “But Henrik.” I protest, “It just feels…wrong? Shouldn’t they each have their own gifts?” Henrik chuckles and takes my free hand in his own across the car’s central console. “Paula, they are two bodies but one soul in many ways. Don’t fret about formalities–they share the same wife, for fuck’s sake.” “That’s oddly comforting “Right?” Henrik makes a right turn, and I sink further into the seat when I see the grand building. It looks even more luxurious than the one Henrik is living in, and there are statues of wolves everywhere. “Umm, Henrik?” “Mmm” “Your parents are dragons, right?” He chuckles. “No, they are not. You have nothing to worry about.” “Oh.” “They are werewolves.” “Wh–what?!” 1/4 Chapter 61 Henrik scratches his chin. “Except for Eric, one of my dads, he is a hybrid between a werewolf and a vampire. You see, he needed to be brought back to life, and well…shit happened.” “What the actual hell, Henrik? Why didn’t you tell me this! They are all going to hate me if I’m the only human!” “No, they won’t,” a smile curls his lips. “My mom is the sweetest werewolf ever and also the most powerful one. She has ice powers, and although she isn’t leading the pack today, she was a force to be reckoned with when she was younger.” I gulp. “With a mom that amazing, I’m sure your dads expect you to not settle for anything less… He frowns. “You’re my fated mate and the most precious gift I could have been given. If anyone has a problem with that, be it my enemies or my family, they can go to hell.” I stare at Henrik in surprise. He is always so gentle and kind that it’s easy to forget he has a more drastic side to him. The dragon within him is fiercely possessive of me, up to the point I’ve heard Henrik growl at men who have checked me out on the street. Not that I mind. Henrik can’t help it and usually apologizes, even though I think it’s charming that he seems to believe every man is out to get me. And while I know I shouldn’t be turned on by how possessive he is, it might be a toxic trait of mine. There is nothing S*xier than a jealous Henrik k*ssing and f**king me just to remind me who I belong to. He can get really rough in bed, but I love it, especially since he is so sweet after I’ve been dominated by his height, muscles, and enormous dick. Oh, and sometimes we switch. Henrik seems to like it a lot when I handcuff him and take control. Tiny women with whips is one of his greatest weaknesses. “We are here,” Henrik announces after parking the car outside the mansion. A butler is smiling at us, and I immediately grow nervous all over again. This place is so posh, while I’m just this poor city girl. “Maybe I should wait here until you’ve told me I’m a human…” Henrik squeezes my hand over the middle console. “Honey, it’s fine. They won’t care if you’re a human or not.” “Won’t they think I’m weak?” … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 61” »

Five hasn’t had the easiest childhood. She was born without a wolf that never awakened on her eighteenth birthday, and because of this, her parents mistreated her while the rest of the pack bullied her. It’s harsh, but that’s how life is for a werewolf without a wolf. Five is worth less than an Omega and expects herself to live as her parent’s slave until the day she dies. But her life takes an unexpected turn when her past bullies, the Alpha twins Eric and Logan, take her in as their pet. They are cruel and relentless, so Five doesn’t understand her deep attraction toward them. It makes no sense to like your bullies, just like it makes no sense to suddenly discover there might be something special about you after all. Perhaps there is more to Five than meets the eye?
Chapter 60 Paula A bunch of things happen later that night. Since I’m in a dream, the first thing I do inside Henrik’s grand mansion is call my abusive boyfriend. He answers after the first tone. “Hello?” “Hi, it’s me.” “Paula?” He sounds like he is in pain–Henrik must have really done a number on him. “Where are you? And listen, there was some huge buff dude here.Henrik Winter? Is he is he your boss? The guy must have been close to seven feet tall.” I glance at Henrik. He is lying on his bed with his head propped up on his elbow, smiling innocently at me before mouthing, “Is everything okay?” “Yes,” I mouth back. “I got this.” Henrik just smiles, and I go back to focusing on fixing my life in this hyperrealistic dream…if you look away from the fact, I’m “married” through dragon fire with a billionaire dragon. But never mind that! I must get rid of Timothy. “Henrik isn’t only my boss–he is my super S*xy dragon husband, and I’m leaving you.” “Dr–dragon, what now?!” “We had S*x.”“ “Wh–what?! But babe, I love you! You can’t leave me for your boss! Think about everything we have been through!” “Oh, you mean all the abusive and gaslighting you’ve made me endure during our time together?” “Paula, L… You got it all wrong! It was never like that,” Timothy stammers, his voice wavering with desperation. You’re just upset. You will come back home soon. You will see… I cut him off before he has the chance to begin with his usual manipulative speeches. “No, Timothy,” I say, my voice hard and resolute. “I won’t. Not this time. Not ever again.” There’s silence on the other end of the line. It drags on for so long that I wonder if Timothy has simply hung up in shock, or perhaps denial–of my words. “But… You… We…” He tries to protest, but words seem to fail him. I can almost see him now, sweating and nervous in our old apartment, unable to comprehend how his control over me has slipped through his fingers. “This is goodbye, Timothy,” I say firmly, leaving no room for doubt or hopes of reconciliation. The silence that follows is deafening. Finally, with a soft click that echoes loudly in the quiet room, he hangs up. For a moment, I just sit there, stunned at my own audacity. It feels liberating and terrifying all at once. But I have Henrik by my side now, someone who truly cares for me and respects me. I turn back to Henrik, who has been silently watching this whole exchange. His handsome face is lit by a gentle smile as he opens his arms wide for me. “Are you okay?” he asks softly as I snuggle into his warm embrace. I smile against his chest as 1 reply, “Yes…yes, Lam 11:37 Sat, 27 Apr Chapter 60 He holds me tighter then, humming a sih fullaby under his breath as we lay there together on his enormous bed, the two of us lying in this grand mansion with the right falling gently conside, The realny of my situation desen on me dowly. I no longer have to fear or worry about Timothy, at least not in this dream. I’m safe in the arms of a billionaire dragon and free from an alanive parmer A soft sigh escapes me as I close my eyes, content to drift off to sleep in his arms. Henrik chuckles above me “I have a question? Choost “Do you still think this is a dream? Dindit. “Of course I would have never called you my S*xy dragon husband if I thought this was real.” “No!” he almost sounds disappointed, but there is also amusement in his voice. “No.” I repeat, Dying from embarrassment isn’t my style of dying, you know.” “Hnum. I guess you’re up for a grand surprise in the morning then, love.” I just laugh into his warm chest and hold him tighter. He smells nice, and I could get used to being held by his strong arms. Sucks that this isn’t reality. As sleep begins to wash over me, I whisper a soft, “Goodnight, dragon husband, causing Henrik to chuckle. “Goodnight, human wife,” he whispers back. His soothing voice lulls me into dreamland. When I awaken the next morning, I am momentarily disoriented. The bed beneath me is too large and too luxurious to be mme. The man beside me is too attractive and too kindhearted to be someone who would ever choose me. I blink rapidly as the memories from last night come rushing back. Henrik stirs beside me, opening one eye to study me curiously. His gaze is both intense and endearing, causing my breath to hitch in my throat. “Morning” he murmurs. His deep voice sends a pleasant shiver down my spine. I stare at him for a moment before asking the most pressing question on my mind. “Was all of that real?” His grin immediately gives away his answer. With a grogginess that belies his size and supposed draconic nature, Henrik stretches before pulling me into his arms. “Depends on what part you’re asking about.” 1 roll my eyes at his teasing tone. “I mean the part where you’re a dragon billionaire who blew his fire over me to complete a mating or marriage or something.” Henrik laughs heartily at that. “Yes, love,” he says once he’s composed himself again. “All of that was very real.” “Buthow? Why?” I ask, struggling to comprehend this new reality. Henrik rubs his cheek against my hair. I suspect he is doing it to mix our scents together. There is even a purring sound coming from his chest before he talks. *1 already told you: you’re my fated gate, and that means that you and I will be together forever…well, the forever part is only if you agree to share my lifetime with me. It would basically make you close to immortal.” 2/5 … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 60” »
Chapter 59 Paula “Do I have to be n*ked for this?” I ask Henrik. He is standing a couple of feet behind me inside the dark forest. Unlike me, he isn’t shuddering at the cold despite having zero clothes. He does, however, seem amused. “As far as I know, your clothes aren’t fireproof, so yes, you have to be n*ked.” “But I’m cold!” I whine. “Can’t I put my clothes back on?” “I’m sure you can survive being n*ked for five minutes.” “What if I get a cold?” Concern flashes over his face. “I will be quick to bathe you in my flame so you won’t freeze.” Those words calm me down a little. I’m still convinced this is a dream, so I’m probably in need of a blanket in real life, but ch 1 will endure it since I don’t want to wake up. Henrik is about to transform into a dragon and complete our mating ritual -1 can’t wake up right when I’m about to be betrothed to a billionaire dragon–shifter! “Fine!” “That’s my girl.” Henrik grins. “You ready?” The truth? No. Although his dragon form is huge and intimidating, I realize this is just a dream–I have nothing to fear. “As ready as I could ever be,” I smile back at him. “Go ahead, Big Guy–transform for me!” Henrik doesn’t respond verbally. Instead, his grin fades into a more serious expression as he steps back, giving both of us space. For a moment, he stands there, his chiseled b*dy bathed in moonlight, and my heart beats a little faster at the sight. Then, before my eyes, he begins to change. His b*dy begins to elongate, his muscles expanding and shifting as scales replace his skin. His face contorts, reshaping into a more reptilian form as his purple eyes start to glow. It happens so quickly and yet every second of his b*dy growing is imprinted into my memory. And then, standing before me is not Henrik but his massive and magnificent dragon form. His blue scales gleam in the low light of the moon. A soft gasp escapes my lips. If this is a dream, then it’s the most vivid one I’ve ever had. The dragon moves forward, and I instinctively take a step back. My heart beats furiously against my rib cage, but the strange bond between us intensifies and burns. It’s like it’s trying to tell me he would never hurt me. Can I trust it? I never thought Timothy would hurt me in the beginning either, but her turned abusive as soon as we had. moved in together. What if Henrik changes after this? does it even matter? It’s not like this dream is going to last forever or like I will remember it. I spread my arms, not because I’m fearless, but because I don’t think this is reality. “I’m ready for the flames!” Henrik’s dragon form opens its mouth wide, and for a moment, I panic, thinking that he’s going to eat me alive in our so- called mating ritual. But all fear evaporates when, instead of sharp teeth and darkness, flames spring out from within him. They are bright and fierce but oddly soothing to look at. 1/4 11:37 Sat, 27 Apr M Chapter 59 With trembling hands, I reach out towards them, half expecting to feel pain, but instead, warmth envelopes every inch of my soul. Fire engulfs me from head to toe, but it doesn’t hurt; instead, an indescribable joy sweeps through me, making me feel like I’m floating. Above everything else, though, I feel connected with Henrik on a level I never thought possible. As suddenly as it had begun, the flames vanish, and I find myself standing in front of Henrik, who is back to his human form. His eyes are fixed on me, filled with an intensity that makes me shiver–not from cold but from want, desire, and something deeper…something like love. Lcome to a conclusion then, whether this is reality or a dream – I don’t want it to end. How could I ever go back to Timothy after this? When I look at Henrik, I’m hit with an intense sense of longing that’s even worse now after he has bathed me in his flame. “Wow.” I whisper. “I want you even more now.” He laughs. “That’s because we completed the mating ritual, love. You fully belong to me now, and being without your other half is actually enough to make you sick now.” “Oh, is it now?” “Yes,” his lips form a grin. “That’s why we are sharing the same bed tonight and the day after that, and the day after that- fuck, I can’t wait to wake up beside you every single day.” My stomach twists and turns when I hear him say that. Wasn’t this dream supposed to be a good one? Because it isn’t anymore. Tears are rolling down my face, and Henrik gasps. “Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong?” He grips my shoulders and gives me this super worried look that makes me sob even louder. “Why do you have to be so sweet?” He blinks in confusion. “Is that…a bad thing?” Oh my god, is he stupid? “No, you idiot! But if you keep being this nice, I’m going to miss you when I wake up tomorrow!” Henrik doesn’t look any less confused, and since I’m afraid the dream might end at any given moment, I throw my arms around him. My head is below his chest, and I’m practically making out with his abs, but they are nice abs, so I don’t care! “I don’t want this to end!” I sniff. Henrik stays silent for a minute before I feel his hand land on top of my head. Then, ever so gently, he brushes his fingers. through my head, and a breath of a laugh leaves his lips. “Haven’t you figured it out yet?” “Figured out what?” I mutter into his skin. He smells like wood and ash, probably from transforming, but I don’t care. “This isn’t a dream, Paula.” … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 59” »
Chapter 58 Henrik I think my mate is trying to kill me. Red hair. Green eyes. Looks like a she–devil, and the way she handles me confirms it. Her k*sses are lethal, her touch a deadly weapon she subtly uses to chip away at my restraint. “Stop torturing me,” I plead, the words coming out more like a growl, a desperate one…which she finds amusing. She stops mid–motion and looks down at me, her green eyes sparkling with laughter. “Don’t tell me little old me is too much to handle for the big dragon?” I swallow thickly, my cock harder than steal, and she isn’t riding me in a way to let me cum inside her sweet cunt. Instead, she is slowly pumping me, letting her ass spank against my thighs again and again. “Are you sure you’re not a demon? A succubus, perhaps?” She laughs at that. “No, I am but a weak little human.” I breathe a laugh. “Weak little human isn’t the description I would use for you at all.” “Is that so?” she purrs, the tip of her finger tracing the hard “V of my abs. It’s a lazy, sensual touch that has me biting back at groan. “Uh–huh…“I reply, my voice thick with unspent desire. “What description would you use, then?” Before I can answer, she bounces in my lap, and I almost die right then and there. I’m so close, but my little mate isn’t letting me get there. She slows down her pace, pinches my right nipple, and I curse under my breath. Did fate send her to destroy me? “I’d describe you as I manage through a clenched jaw, but she cuts me off with another slow grind that makes my vision blur. “As?” she prompts, her voice light and teasing. But beneath the giggles, there’s a hunger in her eyes that mirrors mine. “As an enchantress,” I growl out. “You’re weaving a spell, and I’m powerless to resist.” She raises an eyebrow, her lips curling into a wicked grin. “Do you want to resist?” Damn her, she knows the answer to that. My hands move to her hips, gripping her tightly as I fight the urge to thrust up into her. I can see the satisfaction on her face as she watches me struggle. She’s enjoying this, enjoying torturing me. “No,” I admit quietly. “I don’t want to resist.” Her grin grows wider at my confession. She circles her hips, grinding down onto me with just the right amount of pressure that has me seeing stars. “Good,” she purrs, leaning in closer to run her fingers through my hair. “Because I’m not done with you yet.” There’s a promise in those words, a promise of pleasure beyond my imagination. My mate’s small, perky breasts brush against my chest as she leans in, capturing my lips in a burning k*ss as she continues to move on top of me, slowly driving us both insane with need. My hands slide up her spine before coming to rest on the back of her n*ck, keeping our faces close together. Our ragged Chapter 58 breaths mingle, and our eyes are locked in an intense stare–down. She isn’t backing down, and neither am I. Suddenly, she bites my lower lip and lifts herself off me entirely. The sudden lack of contact has me groaning in frustration, but then she’s sinking back down onto me, harder this time, and it takes every ounce of self–control not to come right then and there. “You….” I hiss between gritted teeth. “Me.” she retorts smugly. This game we’re playing is dangerous–a battle of power between two beings who refuse to submit–but deep down, I know that I’ve already lost. Because every time she touches me, every time she looks at me with that fiery gaze–I fall for her even more. I grip her hips, giving her a silent signal that I’ve had enough of the teasing. My patience is hanging by a thin thread, and if I don’t find release soon. I’m afraid 111 break. She understands my plea, quickening her movements and leading us both to the edge of ecstasy. The car shakes with our exertions, the windows fogging up as we surrender to the primal urge within us. In the end, it doesn’t matter who’s in control. It doesn’t matter who’s taming who. All that matters is the feeling of her around me and the love that flows between us, even in our most intimate moments. After all, she may be 54 and human while I’m a 6’8 dragon shifter, but in my mind, she is bigger than life. My breath hitches as her pace becomes frenzied, our bodies soon becoming a blur of heated skin and uncontrollable desire. She releases a high–pitched whine, throwing her head back as she tightens around me. It’s the most beautiful sight I’ve ever I swallow hard at the feeling of her climaxing, my name tumbling from her lips as she shatters against me. I follow suit immediately after, a string of curses leaving my mouth as my own orgasm hits me with the force of a wrecking ball. We ride the waves together, her b*dy shaking with aftershocks as I continue to fill her. With a satisfied sigh, she collapses against me, her breath coming in short pants against my sweat–slicked chest. My arms wrap around her protectively, holding her as close to me as possible. The quietness that follows is only interrupted by our labored breathing and the faint hum of the car’s engine. She lifts herself off of me after a while, wincing slightly at the movement. A pang of concern hits me immediately, and I hug her to my chest. “Maybe you shouldn’t try to move. You’re a delicate little thing, and I’m not She giggles at that. “Are we talking about your cock?” “Yes,” I lean closer to inhale the scent of her hair because I’ve never had the opportunity to do it before. She doesn’t pull away, either. “I doubt you broke me,” she murmurs, her hand tracing idle patterns on my chest. “You’re big, but not up to the point where you would do any damage. I actually like your cock. Love it, actually.” … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 58” »
Chapter 57 Paula I pull back slightly, my eyes wide with shock at my own boldness. I’m about to apologize, but then I see the look in Henrik’s eyes, a mixture of surprise and longing that makes my heart beat faster. A hint of a smile plays around his lips as he turns to face me fully “Paula,” he says, his voice husky with emotion. He reaches out to gently caress my check, his fingers leaving a trail of warmth on my skin. My breath hitches as he leans in closer, his gaze focused on my lips. “May I?” My heart pounds in my chest as I nod silently, giving My heart pounds in my chest as I nod silently, giving me confused. What is he doing? permission. His lips curl, and then he opens the car door, leaving 1 watch him walk around the car until he is standing outside my door. We aren’t in his sleek, little sports car today. This is his SUV, and he opens the door with a mischievous gleam in his purple eyes. “Scoot over,” he says. Even though I have no idea what he is doing, I scoot over, and he climbs into the seat, but…he doesn’t fit and chuckles to himself. He then lifts me with such ease that I might as well weigh nothing at all. “Umm, wh–what are you doing?” Henrik doesn’t respond. He deposits me onto his lap, his thighs like steel pillars encasing my hips. I squirm, trying to figure out where to put my hands to not lose my balance. His shoulders? No. That would be weird. We barely know each other, for fuck’s sake! My head spins, and Henrik cracks his shoulders, causing me to grip his biceps to prevent a fall. I’m shocked at how big they are. My fingers don’t even go halfway around them; it’s like trying to grasp the circumference of an ancient oak with my mere fingertips. “Can’t get your hands around them, can you?” he teases, and oh, how S*xy he sounds up so close. I flush, both with embarrassment and something more primal stirring within. It isn’t fair how easily Henrik is able to affect me like this. Was he always so….big? My gaze drops, and that’s when I notice there’s something else about him that’s big and proud. His cock is hard inside of his pants, pressing insistently against my pussy through the fabric as if wanting to bust free. “God, you’re big.” I gasp, watching in awe as his member swells further with each heartbeat. Henrik breathes a laugh. “How old are you?” “Umm..twenty–one,” I murmur, nervous because I’ve only ever had S*x with Timothy, but does that even count? Timothy is a boy compared to…well, Henrik. Everything about him turns me on. His scent, beautiful face, height, and gosh, I can’t forget his b*dy. It’s incredible, especially his cock. “I see,” Henrik says. “I’m thirty, but I don’t think you mind the age gap at all.” Humiliation burns through me, but it’s laced with undeniable arousal, I should be mortified, yet here I am, close to dry- humping my boss’s massive cock. 1/4 Chapter 57 He wouldn’t mind, right? “So, have you changed your mind about us yet?” Henrik’s voice has taken on a teasing note. He’s clearly enjoying every bit of my discomfort. I roll my eyes, even as 1 adjust my position on his lap. The friction it creates sends a jolt of pleasure straight through me, and I suppress a moan. “Okay, big guy, stop teasing” Henrik’s low chuckle vibrates through me, and I shiver, but he doesn’t stop. Instead, one of his large hands moves up to cup the back of my n*ck, his thumb rubbing soothing circles into my skin. “And what if I don’t want to stop?” My whole face burns. “I can’t cheat on Timothy…” “You can, Henrik murmurs. “It would suit him right for abusing you, Paula.” “But- “Shh,” he places a finger against my lips and smirks at my flushed face. “How about you forget about him and unbuckle your boss‘ belt?” I swallow hard, my gaze flicking to his smug face and down to the belt buckle in question again. My heart pounds thunderously in my chest as I consider his proposition. “I…” I start, but my words give out as his other hand moves to my thigh, his fingertips teasing circles on my flesh. “Don’t fight it,” he murmurs. “I know you want to be filled up by a real man. Stretched to your limits be my- No, don’t say it, or I will whimper! I silently beg him to stay silent, but he doesn’t. Instead, he says the word that both terrifies and arouses me. “Monster cock.” He says it with such confidence, his voice dropping to a husky whisper that seems to echo in my ears. I groan in response, unable to deny the thrill that shoots through me at his crude words. “Damn it, Henrik,” I curse under my breath, feeling the humidity between my thighs increase. I can no longer fight my desire and angrily open his belt. “Lift your hips so I can pull down your pants.” Henrik grins a predatory glint in his eyes. With a single swift motion, he lifts his hips, allowing me to tug down his pants and boxers. My hands hesitate over the revealed flesh, the enormity of him daunting. Can I take him? I swallow nervously at the size of him, looking up into his eyes. “Too big for you?” he asks. The audacity! “No.” I growl. “Of course not.” thout missing a beat, I get rid of my own clothes. Henrik watches me but doesn’t touch me. Good boy. He must have figured out I like to call the shots. I spit in my hand, and then I start stroking him, fascinated when he closes his eyes to enjoy it. His face is really pretty, with long eyelashes and sculpted cheekbones, but he isn’t feminine. Not in the slightest. My eyes dance over his chest as I work his cock, and he bites his lower not to laugh. “Want me to remove my shirt?” “Shut up,” I command, but I don’t sound tough. My voice is husky with need and I don’t even … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 57” »
Chapter 56 Paula It’s been a month since Henrik hired me. I don’t see him very often, except when I work late, and he offers me a ride home. It’s been nice, and I love checking him out when he isn’t looking at me, but our small “dates” will soon end. I’ve made friends with a few young vampire girls that work in the reception and they have kindly offered to take over Henrik’s job. It might be for the better since I’m still together with Timothy–yes, it’s stupid, but leaving him isn’t easy. Timothy isn’t always mean to me. He is nice sometimes, and this entire week, he has cooked me dinner. The guy even a job, and yeah, it’s an illegal one, but it’s still a job! I’m proud of him…even if he did heat me yesterday after he found out Henrik has been giving me car rides home. Found But I’m not sad! Timothy texted me to apologize and said he would cook me dinner plus he also bought me a secret present. I’m excited. or I should be. Tears are prickling behind my eyelids. I don’t want to leave the office. My b*dy is in pain from all the beatings I’ve had to endure this month. Perhaps if I were quiet, no one would notice if I slept in my chair? “Working late again?” 1 whip around in shock and freeze when I see Henrik. He is smiling at me…until he sees my expression. Shit. Am I looking sad and miserable I quickly dry my tears and fake a smile. “Y–yeah, I need the money. Food is very expensive these days.” Henrik’s smile fades, replaced by a look of concern. I watch his gaze trail over me, taking in my disheveled state. He walks towards me, and I can’t help but flinch. It wasn’t meant to be a reaction towards him but rather a response programmed via Timothy’s abuse. It’s there in an instant–the flash of hurt in his eyes–before it’s replaced by an even deeper concern. “Paula,” he begins hesitantly. “are you okay!” “Yes,” I lie with as much conviction as I can muster, which is not much at all. “I just didn’t get much sleep last night.” He studies me for a moment longer before nodding slowly. “Alright, do you need a ride home?” “No!” The answer is out before I can stop it. God, I’m such an idiot! “L.. I mean, no, thank you, Henrik. The girls offered to give me a ride.” He looks surprised, but his expression quickly changes to a darker one, which makes him appear a hundred times more intimidating. I swallow thickly. Is he mad at me? Did I do something wrong? Henrik walks up to my chair, and I shriek when he suddenly falls down on his knees. “Wh–what are you doing?!” He doesn’t seem bothered by my disconffort and instead grabs my arm. I try to pull it away from him, but he is too strong and calmly pulls up my sleeve to reveal an arm filled with bruises. His eyes immediately widen before they harden into a deadly glare. “Who did this to you, Paula?” His voice is a low growl, but the anger is unmistakable. “I… I..” I stammer, too panicked to think of an excuse. Chapter 56 “Was it Timothy?” Henrik’s question hangs in the air heavily, and I know there’s no point in trying to deny it. Still, I can’t find my voice to answer him. Henrik releases my arm gently and places his hands on my thighs while gazing up into my eyes. He takes several deep breaths before speaking again. “I’m driving you home tonight” “No, Hen–1 begin to protest, but he cuts me off with a single look that tells me this isn’t up for debate. My shoulders slump in defeat. “As you wish.” The ride is silent. Henrik’s expression remains stern, his gaze focused on the road. But I can see his knuckles turning white from gripping the steering wheel too firmly. As we reach my apartment building, he doesn’t pull up at the entrance but drives around to a quieter side street. here, he orders before getting out of the car and walking towards the back of the building. I’m left alone in the car, and my mind whirls with thoughts and fears. I don’t know what Henrik plans to do, and I am terrified for Timothy. I know what he is capable of when threatened. But Henrik is a freaking dragon–he scares me more than a normal human like Timothy ever could He wouldn’t kill Timothy, would he? It feels like I’m sitting on pins and needles until Henrik finally returns to the car. There are two big bags in his hands–did he pack my stuff? I’m….baffled and can only stare as Henrik throws the bags into the trunk before sliding behind the wheel. “You will sleep at my place tonight,” he says without looking at me. There’s blood on his right hand, and my stomach clenches with fear. “You didn’t kill him, did you?” I whisper. “No.” Henrik responds calmly, his knuckles tightening on the steering wheel. “But he will think twice before laying a hand on you again.” “I see,” I stare down at my knees, unsure what else to say. There is this tension inside the car. “Are you mad at me? “For not telling me about your abuse boyfriend?” The only answer I can manage is a nod. I know it’s stupid, but part of me is afraid of Henrik. What if he is just pretending to be nice when, in reality, he is just as bad as Timothy? “I’m not mad at you,” he drives away from the curb with his eyes on the road. “I’m mad at your boyfriend for being a piece of shit…and I guess I’m also a bit confused.” “Confused?” Anger ticks against his jaw. “I don’t understand why you choose to be with a man like that when I’ve told you countless times that you’re meant for me. Do you honestly believe Timothy is a better partner than me? That he is better boyfriend material?” “For all his faults, at least Timothy doesn’t puff smoke and breathe fire. Neither is a gorgeous billionaire who could have whoever he wanted. Admit it–you don’t want me, you’re just addicted to the chase!” Silence falls, and I immediately regret my words when I see Henrik’s shocked expression. His purple eyes rake me up and down, and my heart races when he makes a right turn into the dark forest. Great. Now I’ve pissed him off–what a brilliant way to die, Paula! … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 56” »
SEND GIFT Chapter 55 Paula I continue to work for another hour, stretching my arms in my chair when I’m done. It’s then Mr. Winter returns with two steaming hot cups of coffee from Starbucks. “Need a shot of caffeine?” he asks, stepping into the room. Since I’m tired and coffee is just what I need, I don’t hesitate to hand him a smile. “I would love some coffee.” He hands me the cup and I take a tentative sip, letting the warm liquid seep through my b*dy, melting away the day’s tiredness. “Thank you, Mr. Winter,” I say softly. “You’re welcome.” He drinks from his own coffee, his purple eyes fixed on mine. There’s a silence that stretches between us, giving me time to check him out. He is attractive, and although I should call him “Mr. Winter,” my mind keeps calling him “Henrik” in my thoughts. And that probably isn’t good…. “So,” Henrik finally breaks the silence. “Did you manage to get everything done?” I nod, taking another long sip from my cup. “Yes. All contracts are reviewed, and I also made all the necessary changes” “Good work, Paula.” Surprisingly, warmth fills me when he praises me. Timothy never praises me for anything. He takes me for granted, and although I shouldn’t compare my boss to my boyfriend. I can’t help it. Henrik seems like a nicer person.…….. My eyes widen, and I hastily set down my cup–1 shouldn’t have these thoughts about my boss! I quickly gather my belongings into my bag and stand up from my chair. “Well then,” I say hurriedly. “Shall we go?” Henrik arches an eyebrow. “You’re not going to fight me on this?” “I’m too tired to argue.” “Really?” “Yes, now can we please leave?” “Sure.” Even with his back turned to me as he steps towards the door, I can see Henrik’s shoulders shake with barely suppressed laughter. It makes my cheeks turn pink. What would my life be like if I were dating Henrik and not Timothy? I shake my head to dispel the image. It’s silly, but a part of me can’t help but picture it: dinner dates at fancy restaurants, wild nights in his arms, and lazy mornings with Henrik k*ssing me. His lips are probably incredibly soft I frown at the sudden onslaught of feelings, not quite resenting them but not fully welcoming them either. 11:36 Sat, 27 Apr M ti Chapter 55 “Paula, are you coming?” His voice jolts me out of my reverie. “Yes, yes,” I stammer, snapping back to reality. My mind chastises me for having such thoughts about a man who is not just my boss but also a dragon. As we walk towards his bright red sports car parked in the empty lot, I hear him chuckle softly. “You look very tired.” “I am.” “Should I carry you the rest of the way?” 1 suppress a blush that wants to creep onto my cheeks. “No, I can walk on my own just fine.” The drive back to my house is unexpectedly peaceful, with only the gentle purr of the car engine and some music on low volume for the company. The quiet is comfortable and not at all awkward, unlike those moments with Timothy when he constantly stares at his phone and barely acknowledges my presence. “This is your apartment, right?” Henrik’s melodic voice brings me back from my train of thought, and as I look up, I see him smiling at me with his dimples on full display. “Oh..yes.” I flounder for words as I unbuckle my seatbelt. “Thank you for the ride and…everything else.” He shrugs nonchalantly, though his eyes seem to say something else–something warmer. “Goodnight, Paula.” The door shuts behind me with a thud that echoes through the silent street. As I watch Henrik drive off into the night, an unusual sense of longing wraps around me. I don’t want him to leave. Even though I was trying to convince myself I hated our earlier banter, I had…fun when he was. messing with me. Damn, am I already falling for him without realizing it myself? Shaking my head, I try to focus on the fact that he is my boss, but it’s impossible to turn off the sensations that wash over me when I’m near him. Sighing deeply, I walk up the stairs and into my apartment, only to find Timothy and his friends absolutely wasted. The sight perks up the discontentment inside me, pushing it out into full view. I stand frozen in the doorway, watching as the grown men drunkenly stumble over each other and laugh at their own nonsensical jokes–a stark contrast to the calm orderliness of my evening with Henrik. “Paula, babe!” Timothy slurs, almost tripping over his own feet as he stumbles towards me. He reeks of alcohol and leaves a trail of mess in his wake, which matches the state of our once pristine living room, now littered with beer cans and takeout boxes. Ignoring his outstretched arms, I step aside, letting him collapse onto the floor. He lets out a wheezy chuckle, completely unbothered that his girlfriend just let him fall flat on his face. Instead, he rolls onto his back and continues to laugh at the ceiling. “Hey Paula,” one of Timothy’s friends calls from the couch, raising his beer can in a mocking toast. “Glad for the party. you could join us … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 55” »
Chapter 54 Paula “And this is the staff cafeteria,” Jessie says as we enter the large room. The aroma of gourmet coffee and just–baked pastries wafis through the air, “It’s…beautiful and very luxurious. There are no other words to describe this place. The chairs are cushioned and ergonomically designed for comfort, and the tables are made of polished mahogany. I have no idea what all of this cost, but I bet one of those chairs cost more than my entire apartment. “Yes,” Jessie smiles. “Mr. Winter ensures that we have quality food options for our employees. They are given fresh meals daily.” “Wow,” I breathe out, my gaze traveling to the open kitchen where professional chefs are preparing plates of mouth- watering dishes. It’s like a five–star restaurant in here. “Impressed?” “Yeah….how can you afford all of this?” “Most of our guests are supernaturals. And as a human, you might not be aware of this, but the supernaturals are usually very rich, and our customers are all very generous.” I stare at her. “Don’t tell me you’re a supernatural creature as well?” “I am,” Jessie glances down at me. “In fact, you will be the only human working at the hotel, but Mr. Winter told me that shouldn’t be a problem for you. He said you didn’t seem too surprised to see him in his dragon form yesterday.” Henrik told her I had no problem seeing him in his dragon form? That’s…new. Or maybe Henrik is clueless as to how terrified I actually was of him? His dragon form was larger than the hotel itself, and for a moment, I was afraid he would eat me. It doesn’t matter that he called himself my mate, I was still scared shitless. But I’m not interested in admitting that to Jessie. “What can I say? I read a lot of paranormal romance books, and I guess that’s why I took it all in stride,” I respond nonchalantly. Jessie grins, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “That’s the spirit, Ms. Ellis. Being brave is how to survive here.” “You think so?” “Absolutely, but never mind that. It’s already time for lunch and I wanted to let you try one of the signature dishes Chef Julian has prepared. Would you like that?” Suddenly, my stomach growls. “That would be lovely.” She laughs. “Hungry?” “Very,” I smile. “What signature dish would you recommend?” “Oh, I’m a vampire, so I don’t eat human food. But everyone else seems to love Chef julian’s Fanged Delight. The dish has 1/4 11:36 Sat, 27 Apr Chapter 54 been on the menu ever since this place first opened, and it’s a favorite among both the staff and our guests.” “Fanged Delight?” I echo, my appetite momentarily swiped away by the dish’s ominous name, Jessie chuckles. “You can relax. All of our food has funny names since we are supernaturals running this place, and everyone thinks it’s funny whenever we get human guests, and they read the names on the menu.” A man with the face of a squid turns around and laughs. “Oh, the names are hilarious! Do you rememeber that couple that ordered the “squid sushi death” last week? It was hilarious when I served it to their table. They both screamed when they saw my face! Such a classic!” Jessie laughs with him, and more people join in. Since I’m a human and not used to monsters pranking humans, I just smile and listen to everyone’s funny story. The weird part is that I’m not freaking out. Maybe my brain hasn’t fully processed the fact that supernatural creatures are real and that I’m about to work with them. Or perhaps I’m more hardcore than 1 thought? The day continues with Jessie showing me around. She is a helpful mentor and even sits down beside me when I’m about to do my first real assistant work. Since I’m a quick learner, Jessie feels comfortable enough to leave me alone in my new office. However, it’s really just a small space located near the doors that lead to Henrik’s office. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen him today. Is he taking a day off, or does he usually lock himself up in his office? Suddenly there’s a loud crash coming from his office, followed by a low growl that vibrates through the floor. I jump up from my desk, eyes wide. “Mr. Winter?” I call out tentatively. But there’s no response from Henrik. Worry slashes through me, and without thinking twice about it, I shoot up from my chair. What could that crash have been? Geez. The idiot better not be hurt! “Mr. Winter?” I call out again as I open the doors to his office and see Henrik lying on his back on the floor. There’s a bathroom door open, and he looks newly showered–did he slip on his way out or something? “Are you…okay?” I ask. Henrik turns his face and grimaces when he sees me. “My b*dy is fine, but my pride is officially shattered.” I snort. “Why?” “Because my mate isn’t supposed to know I’m a klutz.” My eyes narrow. “Are you ever going to stop calling me your mate?” “And lie to you?” he asks with a raised eyebrow. I find it amusing how he still hasn’t left his place on the floor. “Or call me by my name, Mr. Winter?” He chuckles at that, his laugh, for some irritating reason, giving me butterflies. “I could, but where’s the fun in that? Plus, you are my mate, after all.” … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 54” »
Chapter 53 When I come home, the whole apartment stinks like weed and pizza. Shoes that don’t belong to my boyfriend Timothy are scattered on the hallway floor. Great, he has company… I step over the shoes and into our living room, where the smell is even stronger, Timothy is sprawled across our small couch. with three of his friends, eyes half–closed, and an empty pizza box resting on the coffee table next to a glass pipe. Are you serious? Timothy…” I say quietly. He barely stirs, only letting out a lazy groan in response. “Did you just smoke all day?” I ask, struggling to keep any sign of my emotional turmoil from showing in my voice. “Babe..” He mumbles in response, not even bothering to look up at me. I feel a sudden burst of irritation towards him. What does he do all day? He certainly isn’t working or contributing to our relationship in any meaningful way. Is this really the man I’m going to pick over the dragon–billionaire who looks like a supermodel? Timothy might be the safe option, but he didn’t even order enough pizza for me! Putting my hands on my hips, I sigh and shake my head at the group of slack–eyed stoners. Timothy grunts and waves his hand vaguely in the direction of the fridge. “There’s some left in there.” So, now I get to have cold pizza while he and his friends have devoured the hot, fresh one? Fantastic. I want to yell, throw the cold pizza slice at his head, and tell him how much I deserve better than this. But it’s not like it would change anything. It wouldn’t make him suddenly put down the pipe, get a job, or turn into a grownup. Timothy is just. Timothy. I realize that getting angry will not solve anything, so I walk past the stoners and enter our bedroom, locking the door behind me. Tomorrow might be a better day The next day, I wake up to Timothy swearing loudly inside the kitchen. “What the hell?” he shouts, and I immediately jump out of bed, alarmed by his frustration. I rush to the kitchen, finding him stomping around like a child who’s lost his favorite toy. “Timothy? What happened?” I ask, crossing my arms over my chest as I lean against the doorframe. His bloodshot eyes flicker to me, and for the first time, I feel actual fear when he glares at me. “Why didn’t you take care of the dishes yesterday?!” “The dishes?” I ask incredulously, my own annoyance rising to the surface. “Yes, why didn’t you? The apartment is disgusting! How could you ignore this mess!” he exclaims, his veins popping out of his forehead. “Excuse me, but I wasn’t the one who decided to throw a party in our apartment for my stoner buddies!” I retort, my patience wearing thin. “If you and your friends can’t clean up after yourselves, maybe you shouldn’t be having parties in the first place.” “Don’t f**king call them that!” 1/3 11:36 Sat, 27 Apr 0 t Chapter 33 “What? Stoners? But that’s what you f**king arel You’re all over the age of thirty, unemployed and refusing to grow up while expecting me to act like your mom!” Timothy’s jaw falls to the ground, but there is no time for me to feel smug. This is the first time I’ve lost my temper with him, and it’s a mistake. He moves in a flash, gripping my throat and pushing my smaller b*dy up against the wall. “Don’t you dare speak to me like that again,” he snarls, his eyes smoldering with anger. “Women should know their place!” I can’t answer him. I’m close to choking and lift my hand to tap as his veiny arm, but Timothy doesn’t care. His green eyes narrow and although I’m dying, the only thing I can focus on are the red freckles covering his sunburnt skin. He looks like a redn*ck, and with every passing second, his grip tightens further. I choke out a feeble cry, my vision starting to blur around the edges. Just when I think this is it, he releases me abruptly. I tumble to the floor, gasping for breath, while Timothy’s harsh laughter echoes through the tiny apartment. He practically sneers at me as he exits the kitchen, pausing only to deliver a spiteful parting shot. “I’m going out. Clean this mess when you’re done playing the victim.” I think that’s it, but he adds, “Oh, and you better score that job at the hotel. We are behind on the rent and don’t even think about leaving. We both know I would find you.” His voice is cold and emotionless. He has never treated me like this before…well, there have been a few times when he has. been violent, but… that’s normal, right? No man is perfect, and the grass isn’t greener on the other side. A woman should just accept this. I mean, it could be worse, so much worse. People are living in poverty, for fuck’s sake! I shouldn’t feel sorry for myself. This isn’t that bad. Yet, despite knowing my life isn’t THAT horrible, I can’t help but wonder what kind of life I am living. Is it supposed to be like this? My pity party stops, and I decide to do something with my life. Henrik might not hire me, so I better send my resume to a few other companies as well. I dust myself off and head to my laptop. The screen flickers to life, and I start updating my CV, pausing when I notice there’s a new email in my inbox. It’s from Jessie, the woman who interviewed me yesterday for the position of becoming Henrik’s assistant. The subject reads, “Urgent! Open Immediately!” My heart skips a beat as I click to open it, the words blaring at me from the Screen: “Dear Ms. Ellis, I am pleased to inform you that you’ve been selected for the position of Mr. Winter’s personal assistant. Your detail–oriented approach and proactive nature impressed us greatly during your interview. We hope that you can join our team as soon as possible. Please respond with your confirmation by the end of today. Welcome to Wintercrest Industries. … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 53” »
Chapter 52 Paula “You’re going to be a real tasty meal,” the leader of the ghouls says as he studies me. “I haven’t had human meat in so long that I’ve forgotten what it tastes like.” “Well, today’s not your lucky day,” I answer, trying to keep my tone defiant and my knees from trembling. The ghoul’s grin widens, revealing sharpened teeth made more intimidating by the yellow light. A harsh laughter echoes behind him, and his fellow ghouls join in the mirth, their eyes gleaming brighter with anticipation. “Feisty, I like that.” He reaches for me, but before his twisted fingers can touch my skin, the park lights above us flicker and then burst into a blinding white light. The gang of ghouls hisses and shields their glowing eyes against the sudden illumination. It ends within seconds, and then everything goes dark. “Magic..” one of the ghouls mutters, I can no longer see him, but I can hear him. “Someone or something has stopped the time around us.” “Really?” the leader asks in disbelief. “Then how come that human over there is still moving, huh?” “I don’t know, boss! Maybe she is special or something?” Someone sniffs loudly, probably the leader. I can almost visualize his nostrils flaring- “You’re right there is a faint smell of dragon on her skin…I think she also spent some time around a The ghoul is cut off by the loudest, most ear–piercing screech I’ve ever heard in my life. I cover my ears while the ghouls. scramble away in fear. Some of them fall on their butts and look up at the dark sky. What are they looking at? I don’t have night vision, but I can feel something great moving in the shadows. Winds are blowing around me, and my heart pounds faster. I know in my heart that something great with enough power to terrorize the other monsters before me is here, And my fears are confirmed when fire greets the ghouls. Whatever is behind me hurls it at them until they are melting and screaming in pure agony. Some of them try to run for the forest, but there is no escaping the flames. This is their end. I watch the flarnes swallow up the rest of the ghouls. The leader is still alive, and I shiver when he tries to crawl forward with his hand outstretched. “Please, show me mercy! I promise I won’t-” The flames take him, and I don’t feel one bit sorry for the ghouls since they had planned on eating the redhead. They couldn’t have been nice people….. “I see you’ve made new friends, a voice chuckles inside my head, and I freeze. Henrik? The lights turn back on and I turn around, expecting to see the CEO from earlier. Instead, I’m eye–to–eye with the most enormous creature that I’ve ever seen a blue dragon. Its head alone is the size of a bus, and its large, purple eyes are fixed on mine as it studies me. Its scales glitter in the light, each a shimmering shade of azure, tinged with streaks of silver. Long tendrils of smoke curl out from his nostrils, disappearing into the night sky. The dragon–Henrik–tilts his head, his eyes twinkling with amusement. 175 Dreame Chapter 52 Now, do you believe me?” His mental voice is filled with amusement, and if I didn’t know any better, I would think he was smiling. But I’m not. I’m beyond terrified. Every single brain cell is telling me to run from this beast that’s bigger than every freaking apartment around the block, but there is also a strange magnetic pull between us. It’s like a part of me wants to reach out and touch his snout. But that’s amb, right? I need to get away from him! Without thinking twice. I turn around to escape. But as I do, a sudden gust of wind impedes my retreat, nearly knocking me off balance. I struggle against the force, my heart pounding in my chest as I hear a deep rumble emanating from behind. Fearing the worst, I muster the courage to look back and find Henrik’s enormous face inches away from mine. ‘Running away? I thought you were braver than this, his voice echoes in my head. “IL” My voice comes out in a hoarse whisper. What do you say at a moment like this? Before I can gather my thoughts, his tail swings around, blocking my only escape route. ‘Calm down, Henrik’s voice resonates in my mind again. I am not going to harm you. His giant eyes watch me with what seems like concem. “Why should I trust you?” My voice is shaky but defiant. ‘Because you’re my mate!” That freaking word again! I hate how he keeps repeating it even though we couldn’t possibly be meant for each other. I’m a human, and he is an oversized reptile! “I’m not your mate!”“ “You are…” Henrik sighs in his dragon form, and I take a step back when hot air leaves his nostrils. ‘Anyway, let’s get you home‘ My eyes narrow. “You’re not going to force me to climb up on your back, are you?” He chuckles. ‘No, I was going to drive you home. I parked my car outside the park. But if you would rather climb up on my back, I suppose I could give you the ride of a lifetime-” “The car sounds good!” I interrupt him in a shrill voice. He might not have eaten me, but his dragon form is still terrifying. … Read More “Shared By The Twin Alphas by Veliciah Chapter 52” »
