Chapter 0145
Madison quickly returned a friendly smile, then nudged the mant beside her, “Where are we off to?”
Ethan rummaged through her bag, pulling out some skincare products and handing them to her..
His attentiveness was always so irresistible.
Madison applied the cream to her soft cheeks before Ethan answered her earlier question, “Remember when we first met, you were my helicopter pilot and you mentioned a city said to be the most
romantic?”
As she smoothed on the lotion, Madison paused, then peered outside.
The helicopter was headed towards Haisu, famed as the city of romance amongst their countrymen
“Why… why the sudden desire to go there?” Madison hesitated.
“A romantic city deserves a visit with you,” Ethan smiled. “Besides, I’m curious just how romantic a place that even a little fool finds. enchanting can be.”
On W******p.
Jessica had bombarded her with a flurry of messages which she couldn’t reply to at the moment.
Through the texts, Madison could almost hear Jessica’s teary complaints about her dear brother Ethan.
As Madison chuckled at the thought, the man beside her spoke, “Next month, I’m planning to donate a significant sum to the First Flight

Academy, and five training planes on top of that.”
Madison was taken aback, “Are you collaborating with my alma
mater?”
Ethan, settled back into his seat, exuded a calm demeanor as he discussed the matter, transforming into a man of strategy and depth.
“No. Mukino Aviation doesn’t hire pilots straight out of the academy.”
Madison tucked away her phone. “Then why the sudden donation?”
He glanced at her, “What do you think?”
The reason flashed through her mind, but Madison dared not assume such vanity.
Eventually, Ethan said, “Consider it a thank you for training you. Plus, ! made the donation in your name, so you might have to make an appearance.”
“Me?” Madison sat up, startled.
“Why so surprised?” Ethan chuckled. “Are you getting stage fright?”
“It’s not that… it just doesn’t feel right to take credit for a donation I didn’t make,” Madison demurred.
Ethan pinched her hand gently, laughing softly, “What I donate, you donate.”
But the underlying reason was clear-he needed to proclaim to the world, once again, that Madison was his.
No one else should even think about it.
In the front, William once again surreptitiously opened his signal-less W******p and began to compose a new entry in his daily log.

“I can’t agree to this. I can accompany you, but not in my name,” Madison said sternly.
Seeing her resolve, Ethan didn’t push further. Instead, he suggested, ” What about in both our names?”
Madison frowned, pondering.
She knew what Ethan was up to. After a moment, she relented, “Fine.”
Ethan suddenly drew her close and kissed her, “Having such a girlfriend is the best.”
The pilot in the front couldn’t bear to listen any further.
The always-serious Chairman Ethan, so disarmingly different in front of his girlfriend? It was almost scandalous!
At the Grant family estate.
“Mom, Ethan’s made another donation. Why is he so wasteful? Is he thinking of giving away the inheritance that should be mine by just donating it?” Julius ranted to his mother, Charlotte.
Charlotte was also worried, “Stop fixating on Ethan. Look at your father, he’s not well. Why don’t you show some concern?”
Julius lounged on the couch, pampered by several maids, the picture
of indulgence.
“Why should I care? Dad has doctors around him. I’m not a physician. What can I do? Besides, Ethan is the one who upset him. It should be him showing filial piety.”
Charlotte was frustrated by her son’s lack of ambition. “The more you’re there for him now, the more he’ll feel indebted to you. If your make him happy, you might inherit everything that’s his.”

“What do you mean might?” Julius protested. “It should be mine by default. Even Ethan’s share should be mine, considering you’re my dad’s current partner.”
Charlotte despaired at her son’s attitude.
“You’d better spend less time on frivolities and learn how to run a company. Stop causing trouble and making your father angry,” she advised.
“You’re so nagging,” Julius complained.
Charlotte stood up, “Where are you going now?”
“You told me to see him, didn’t you?” Julius replied irritably, striding
out.
Next door, in a separate villa.
Mason’s health was indeed failing. The change of seasons brought discomfort, an old problem.
“Father.”
Julius barged in without so much as a hello.
The senior doctors, interrupted in their examination, were displeased but powerless to complain..
Julius strutted over, his bubblegum chewing, explosive hairstyle, and nonchalant demeanor far from promising.
After greetings were exchanged, the doctors continued their check-up, leaving many instructions.
Mason coughed, “Tianhao, see the doctors out.”
Julius frowned, “Why bother? They’ve been here before; surely they

can find their way out.”
The doctors quickly declined, “No need, we know the way. Please rest, Mr. Jiang.”
Once the doctors left the villa, they sighed heavily.
This illegitimate son, good for nothing-no redeeming qualities from
top to bottom. They couldn’t fathom what Mason saw in him.
With an exemplary eldest son like Ethan, ignored by his biological father, it was incomprehensible.
Inside the room.
Mason looked pale, “Get me a glass of water.”
Julius, engrossed in his phone, yelled without looking up, “Maid? Someone! My dad wants water!”
The noise pained Mason’s head, and coupled with his discomfort, his temper flared. “Julius!”
Despite his usual nonchalance, Julius was scared of Mason’s anger. He put the phone away, the joking gone.
Mason pointed at Julius from head to toe as he coughed furiously,” Look at yourself! I even heard you meddled with the Dong family’s daughter from the eastern district!”
“Adults consenting to…” Julius muttered resentfully, head bowed.
Mason’s irritation peaked.
With a snap, he hurled the empty glass at him.
Charlotte entered just then, gasping in horror, quickly shielding Julius.
“What are you doing?”
Mason, watching her protect Julius, grew even angrier, “Don’t you
discipline him for the trouble he causes?”
