is from outside, holding a basketball.
Lenore looked up at Bonnie standing by the backdoor and pulled out a chair next to her. “Come over and sit
Bonnie walked in and sat down next to Lenore, resting her chin on her folded arms on the table. In a soft voice, she asked. “Lenore, is it okay if I transfer to Class 24 so we can have lessons together?”
Lenore turned her head, stray hairs brushing across her brow, giving her a hint of aloof coolness is someone picking on you?” she asked
Ronnie shook her head and rested her head on her arm. “I just want to be in the same class as you
She didn’t say more,
Then just come.”–
and Lenore didn’t push her. She gently touched Bonnie’s smooth check, lazily propping her chin with one hand, and said.
Bonnie and Esther had always tied for the top spot in the school. Lucille relied on them to maintain her reputation as an outstanding teacher. And now Bonnie suddenly wanted to transfer to Class 26.
Everyone knew Class 24 was the worst and most dysfunctional in Grade 12. Lucille was furious. “This is no different than ruining your life” the snapped
Bonnie kept a straight face. “Even in the mud, I can shine if I put my effort into it,” she said with a touch of defiance. Knowing Lucille wouldn’t approve. Bonnie didn’t really need her permission; it was more of a gesture of politeness to let her know.
Then, she went to meet with Zell and Jonas. By the time evening study hall came around, she had gathered all her books and joined Class 21. Lucille was so angry that she ended up taking several fast–acting heart pills.
At the Class 24, Bonnie took the empty seat next to Lenore, stood up and looked at Class I’s surprised faces. With a bright smile, she said, “Tm Transferring to Class 24 today, please look after me.”
“Wow, is this for real?”
“A top student asking us to look after her–saying that doesn’t really hurt, it’s more insulting…
“Everyone treats Class 24 like garbage, and now a top student shows up
“Has Class 24 turned into a hot spot or something?”
The students from Class I were buzzing t

On the podium, Jonas cleared his throat to get the group to quiet down. “From now on, you should all learn a lot from Bonnie.” He was surprised that Bonnie chose to join Class 24 too.

Silas walked through the moon gate into the innermost courtyard.
Layton sat upright on the sofa, wearing his reading glasses while looking at his phone. Hearing the commotion, he looked up and squinted his cloudy eyes, “I heard you’ve been staying in Jinslenburg lately”
Silas sat beside him, casually crossing his legs: “If none of you discuss the 319 Biomedical Engineering project, then I’ll have to investigate it myself”
Layton snorted, “What’s staying in Justenburg got in do with anything! Did you find a clue about that young girl?”
Silas suddenly looked up, a cold glint in his eyes as he warned, “Don’t touch her.
Layton took off his reading glasses. His face was lined with age, but he was energetic. The information on that girl isn’t that impressive.”
Silas had always been distant, unmoved by many socialites. But now, he was interested in a girl from a small town.

Layton couldn’t sit still. Once he investigated the girl, the information he found was quite disturbing
Silas looked up, his features firm and handsome, a determined expression on his face and a deep darkness in his eyes. He said calmly, “Grandpa, do you think I would choose someone who’s not good enough!”
Layton stared at him for a few seconds before snorting. I can’t be bothered with your problems. After all, it’s you getting married, not me. The 319 Biomedical Engineering situation is complicated; you should let it go sooner rather than later.”
Silas narrowed his eyes. “It’s never been my way to give up. I refuse to believe that all I can rely on is what you say.”
Layton’s eyes widened in anger. “Did you come back just to make me mad?”
Silas gave him a bland look and got up. Then I’m leaving
