Chapter 95
“Alright, neither you nor I destroyed the drafts, so it’s got to be her. She can deny it all she wants, but Mr. Coleman will know the truth. Honestly, it’s a good thing that she admits it, mainly because it’s good for us. imagine if Ms. Dawson tried to play innocent. Mr. Coleman will ask for our responsibility!” Everett explained.
Tamera pursed her lips and frowned. “She’s not qualified to be a secretary. I mean, who destroys something that important? So clumsy!”
Everett nodded in agreement. After that, he and Tamera returned to the design department.
Meanwhile, in Andrew’s room, Cathy looked confident. “Since Ms. Dawson admitted to ruining the drafts, she has to face the consequences!” She exclaimed.
With a stern look, Andrew stared at Alyssa. “This isn’t the time to play the blame game. The design launch is right around the corner. Ms. Carlson, you know Adair, ask her to draw up a new design as soon as possible!”
Cathy looked at Alyssa and snapped, “Mr. Coleman, are you defending her? This is all her fault! She must take responsibility.” She pointed at Alyssa and added, “Why should I be the one to fix her mess?”
Suddenly, Alyssa chuckled. She raised her eyebrows and replied. Ms. Carlson, do you consider yourself cleaning after my mess, or are you trying to save yourself?”
Cathy was not expecting Alyssa to speak. She locked eyes with her and sneered. “You said Ms. Dixon and Mr. Sanders didn’t ruin the drafts, leaving you as the main suspect. Why are you trying to drag me into this mess?”
Alyssa smiled faintly. “Ms. Carlson, I think you’ve forgotten one detail. Didn’t you also have your hands on these design drafts?” She asked.
Cathy burst into laughter upon hearing Alyssa’s words. “What? Are you saying I messed up the drafts? Who will believe that? Mr. Hunt? Or maybe Mr. Coleman?”
Alyssa smiled triumphantly. “I believe they will after seeing the evidence.”
Cathy believed Alyssa held no evidence. Even if she had, she would not allow her to show it. At that time, Alyssa brought in the design drafts to her. Then, she spilled coffee all over it and rushed straight to Andrew. There was no way Alyssa could catch her red–handed that quick.
Feeling confident, Cathy raised her chin and said, “Ms. Dawson, what evidence could you possibly have? Show us something to prove, and I’m willing to be your chief secretary.”
“Deal!” Alyssa said with a smile. Then, she walked to Andrew and asked, “Mr. Coleman, mind if I borrow your computer?”
Andrew made way so she could use his computer. Afterward, Alyssa connected her phone, fired up the PC, and played the video she secretly recorded.
The monitor displayed the video from start to finish. In the video, Cathy’s was seen smiling as she poured coffee all over the drafts.
As Cathy watched the video unfold, her face was a mix of shock and disbelief. ‘Alyssa recorded me? How did she do it?‘ Cathy thought.
When the video finished, Alyssa turned to Cathy with a satisfied smile and asked, “Ms. Carlson, is this proof enough for you?” Cathy’s legs got weaker as she grabbed the sofa armrest. Her lips quivered as she tried to speak, but no words came out.
Simon frowned and asked, “Ms. Carlson, what is this behavior? Mr. Coleman has been nothing but generous to you. But why are you doing this? Do you know how much the company will suffer without Adair’s design drafts? Are you trying to bring
our company down?”
Cathy stammered, “No, I would never try to destroy this comp
