Everyone turned and saw Thiago getting out of his car and striding over to Hera confidently.
“Don’t worry, Hera! No one can bully you with me here. I’ll protect you.” His cool persona crumbled almost immediately when he grinned like a fool.
He sure was a silly man.
Thiago glanced disdainfully at Everly. “What? Do you want everyone to see the video of you servicing countless men?”
“You!” Everly paled, staring at him as if he were a demon.
He even had a video! He was an absolute devil! Just like Hera, he must have come from hell to ruin her life! She hadn’t even provoked them. Why were they still targeting her?
To stage her comeback, she agreed to Priscilla’s plan and even went so far as to have an artificial blood vessel implanted in her arm to prepare for a paternity test that would clear her past.
But these two wouldn’t even give her a chance!
Everly gritted her teeth and clenched her fists, looking like she was ready to fight them.
Priscilla noticed Everly’s reaction and realized Hera was telling the truth about the pregnancy. She quickly pulled Everly behind her to stop her from losing control and ruining their reputation even more.
She had worked hard to secure an alliance with Linda to clear the Chime family’s reputation. They couldn’t let it be ruined now! Even if Everly were pregnant, they couldn’t admit it.
Before Priscilla could respond, Hera spoke first, “Mrs. Chime Senior, if I were you, I’d keep quiet in public. At least wait until Everly’s baby is aborted, then transplant Camille’s bone marrow into her. The onlookers began to realize that Hera’s outfit resembled the Killian family’s mourning attire. Wearing something like this at a birthday celebration was unlucky. It seemed like she was cursing them.
Hera didn’t deny it. “That’s right, I came here to stir things up. What are you going to do about it?”
“You!” Priscilla had lived her whole life in luxury after marrying into the Chime family and had never encountered someone so shameless!
Seeing so many eyes on them, Priscilla knew that continuing the confrontation would only expose more problems. She quickly led Everly into the banquet hall to find Linda.
This wasn’t her turf, so she had no authority here. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t find a way to deal with Hera!
Natalie and her friends also went inside. But when it was Hera’s turn, the guards stopped her. “Please show your invitation.”
Thiago tossed his invitation to the guard. “She’s with me.”
The guard looked at the invitation but still blocked Hera. “Only those with an invitation can enter.”
Hera was speechless. It turned out Linda had lured her here to prevent her from entering the banquet hall. What a petty trick! Fine, just wait. Soon, they would be the ones begging her to come in!
“Are you deaf? That’s an invitation right there! She’s my date! In fact, she’s my fiancée!” Thiago shouted.
But the guard was determined to follow Linda’s orders. “This is your invitation, sir. She still needs her invitation to enter.”
