Xavier held Yvette’s hand. “No can do. I want to celebrate it.”
“Celebrate it by yourself then.”
Yvette started to leave. Xavier gave her a hard tug, pulling her into his arms.
“No. Let’s go eat. You lead the way. My treat.” He must have learned this somewhere.
Yvette didn’t want to go. Sensing this, Xavier held her tightly. They continued to stand in the cold wind. Yvette didn’t expect him to act so shamelessly. At last, she could only agree to his request. “Let’s go.”
As she hadn’t gone out much since she’d been back, she didn’t know anywhere that served good food.
Seeing that it was getting late, Yvette looked around and finally chose a Perlinian restaurant with few people.
As soon as the two entered, they attracted a lot of attention. Because Xavier couldn’t see, Yvette had to hold his hand.
Someone took out their phone to take a photo of Xavier’s overly eye-catching face.
Yvette swiftly blocked the woman with her hand. “Sorry. No photos allowed.”
The woman refused to back down. She attempted to take a photo again, only to immediately put down her phone when she saw Xavier’s cold expression.
Yvette decided that the next time she took Xavier out in the future, she would also make him wear sunglasses and a mask.
A handsome blind man was more attractive than a handsome man who could see.
For example, when one saw a handsome man on the street, a normal person might not dare to look directly at him. But if it were a handsome blind man, everyone would not only look directly at him but also feel pity and other emotions. When Yvette got a waiter to arrange a private room for them, the waiter looked surprised as he took them in. Yvette didn’t think much of it as she thought he was one of those who cared about other people’s appearance. What she didn’t know was that not long ago, the waiter had just taken Jeremiah and Zoey to another private room.
The two private rooms were close. The waiter confirmed again and again and then found that the two seemed to be twins.
“What do you want to eat?” Yvette asked, picking up the menu.
“Order something for me.”
“Then I’ll order all the food I like.” Yvette tried, bringing a smile to Xavier’s face.
“Sure.”
Yvette quickly looked down at the menu. After choosing the dishes they were waiting for the food when Xavier asked her, “Did you leave home to do something today?”

Yvette didn’t want to talk about the dangerous event that happened. “Not really. I came out for fresh air.”
Her voice changed whenever she
lied. Instead of exposing her, Xavier took a sip of water and took out a beautiful box. He handed it to her.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Since he wasn’t good at choosing gifts, he had picked this present out with Mark.
Mark had also gotten one for free, thanks to Xavier, and had gone back to give it to his fiancée. However, Yvette didn’t accept it.
“I don’t want it.” She could not buy whatever she wanted and didn’t expect others to give her gifts.
Xavier’s hand froze midair. “Don’t you want to open it and take a look?”
In the past, Yvette would be elated to receive even something he got her on a whim.
“If I want something now, I will buy it myself first. I don’t need anything.”
Xavier’s Adam’s apple rolled slightly. “Do you still not want to start over with me?”
Yvette almost choked on her tea. Any woman would reject her suitor’s kindness if she didn’t plan to be with him.
The room fell silent in an instant.
The waiters who came to serve
them their food could tell that there was
dishesion in the room. After the
dishes were served, they leftone after another.
Yvette picked up her cutlery. “Let’s eat.”
Xavier put the gift on the table and murmured, “You said I always lied to you… Aren’t you the same?”
