Back in Tirion, news of Yara attacking someone had spread like wildfire. No matter how wealthy she was, there was no way she would be able to fix it immediately. It was also the first time she had felt so terrified. After Yvette returned to Tirion, she visited Yara in the detention center. The latter used to look fabulous. However, she looked pale at that moment.
“Yvette, where’s the nanny?” she immediately asked after seeing Yvette.
Although Viola had set Yara up, Yvette still hated the latter. “She’s dead because of you.”
Yvette and Yara didn’t feel like mother and daughter at all. Viola had finally gotten Yara locked up, so there was no way Yvette would let her out.
“She set me up. I didn’t kill her at all!”
Yvette’s gaze was cold as she said, “Who would want to use their lives to set you up?”
Seeing how Yvette didn’t believe her, Yara clenched her fists in anger. “How should I know what was wrong with her? She wasn’t afraid of death at all and wanted me to end up in jail!”
When Yvette heard that, she couldn’t help feeling bitter. No one wouldn’t fear death unless they were dying for the people they cared for.
She stood up and said, “Madam Yara, there’s something I want to tell you.”
Yara was confused. “What is it?”
“Come closer.”
As Yara got closer to Yvette, and the latter softly said, “Actually, I know that you were set up. I even have the proof for it.”
Yara’s pupils constricted. “What did you say? Give me the proof now! Clear my name!”
“My mom sacrificed herself to get you locked up. Why would I possibly let you out? I’m only telling you this to give you hope, but I’ll never let you have it!”
It was evil. Yvette purposely told Yara the truth to make her desperate.
“What did you call her? I’m your actual mother. Who does she think she is? How dare you work with her to set me up?”
Yvette stopped talking to her and turned around to leave. Behind her, Yara broke down completely while cursing at her nonstop. Yvette was used to it, and she ignored everything Yara yelled at her. After she returned to Dewberry Manor, she composed herself. She tidied up the place and went with Noah to get his check-up done.
“Mom, can I not go for check-ups for the next few days?”
“Why?”
“I want to stay at home with you.”
She ruffled his hair and said, “After we’re done with the check-up today, we can stay at home.” “Alright.”
Meanwhile, Shannon received news
of them returning to Tirion in no time. When she saw a picture of Noah sitting next to Yvette, her pupils constricted. “I knew it They are twins!”
Ine
Shannon tightened her grip around her phone and couldn’t hide the joy in her gaze.. I knew Zac wasn’t Kiki’s son. Look! There’s another one. They’re twins! Xav and Jerry are twins as well. Take a look. Don’t you think the kids look just like them?”
She brought out photos of Xavier and Jeremiah when they were younger and showed them to Mandy. When Mandy saw them, she was shocked to see how similar they looked.
“It’s true, Madam Shannon. Congratulations.”
Shannon couldn’t stop smiling anymore. “Let’s go to Dewberry Manor now and look at my dear grandson.”
“Wouldn’t it be unwise to go now? We don’t have any proof yet, and Mr. Xavier even gave us a warning last time.”
When Shannon heard Xavier’s name, she was afraid as well. “What should we do?”
“I’ll find a way to get the child’s DNA sample. Then, we can plan our next steps once the result is out.”
“Sure.”
Although Shannon wanted a grandson, she didn’t want to mistake someone else’s grandson for her own.
If the kids really were Yvette and Claude’s sons, she would be at a loss. Archibald had also said that Zachary was his great-grandson, so Shannon wondered if they had done a DNA test as well. FindNovel
After all, it might be possible for her men to make a mistake in their investigation as well.
