Chapter 50
Myrna asked again, “So, Ms. Dawson, what would you like for breakfast?”
Alyssa smiled and replied, “I’m fine with anything. She wasn’t picky with food. Even if she didn’t eat at home, she could just buy a donut or a pancake outside.
“Alright, I’ll prepare it the way Andrew likes it,” Myrna said cheerfully before heading to the kitchen.
After Alyssa freshened up, she walked over to the dining table and saw Andrew already seated and having breakfast. He was eating cereal, holding his phone, and seemed engrossed in whatever he was browsing, not looking up as she approached.
And there was also a pizza by his side.
Seeing this, Alyssa was momentarily taken aback and thought, ‘Is this what Andrew typically eats for breakfast? So down–to- earth, not like a domineering CEO at all!
Alyssa recalled back in college when she and Sean would read romance novels featuring domineering CEOs. The male leads would only have coffee for breakfast, usually the kind without sugar.
Later, when Sean became a CEO, he went to great lengths to mimic those fictional characters. His breakfasts were mostly coffee, sometimes paired with a sandwich. Even though he had a sweet tooth and disliked unsweetened coffee, he forced himself to drink it every day, as if it was the only way to truly embody the image of a domineering CEO.

“Ms, Dawson, please have a seat. Your breakfast is ready,” Myrna said as she placed a bowl of vegetable cereal in front of Andrew and then brought over a tray of pizza, saying, “It’s got cheese and ham in it. Try it and see if you like it.”
“Thank you,” Alyssa said.
Andrew finally looked up when he heard her voice and said, “If you don’t like it, just let Myrna know. She can make something else. These are just my preferences.”
“I like it,” Alyssa responded.

Andrew raised an eyebrow. “No need to pretend you like it just to accommodate me.”
Alyssa mentally rolled her eyes, thinking he was being overly self–important.
However, she maintained a smile and said, “I like it. It’s a hearty, homey breakfast.”
Andrew was a bit surprised. He had expected most city professionals to prefer lighter meals. It was unusual to find someone who enjoyed cereal.
But he didn’t dwell on it and went back to looking at his phone.
Alyssa took a sip of the cereal. It had a fresh, slightly sweet flavor that she really enjoyed.
She finished the cereal in one go, and when Myrna saw how much Alyssa liked it, she quickly asked, “Would you like more?”
“Can I?” Alyssa asked.
“Of course not,” Andrew interrupted, glancing at Alyssa. “There’s only one bowl left, and it’s mine.”
Myrna chided, “Andrew, you’re a grown man. You should be more considerate of your wife. I’ll make extra tomorrow.”
“But I want it today,” Andrew replied, then, without any fuss, took his bowl to the kitchen to serve himself some more cereal.
“Andrew…” Myrna started to say something, but Alyssa, feeling a bit awkward, quickly interjected, “Myrna, it’s fine. I’m not

that hungry. It’s just that what you made is so delicious that I want to have more. Let him have it.
Alyssa’s words were perfectly crafted, allowing her to gracefully let Andrew have the cereal without feeling awkward, while also offering a compliment to Myrna.
Myrna was overjoyed and said with a wide smile, “I’m so glad you liked it. I’ll make extra tomorrow. Or perhaps we can try a different type of cereal?”
“Sounds good.” Alyssa agreed with a nod,
