When Hailey got back today, she cried her heart out to Shannon hoping she would help. Ideally, Hailey wanted Shannon to persuade Alyssa to transfer her 20% of the shares. That way, Sean would lose interest in Alyssa and marry Hailey instead
But to Hailey’s surprise, Alyssa, who had always listened to her mother, suddenly turned rebellious.
Hailey felt like everything was spiraling out of her control. She didn’t know why things turned out this way.
Everything had been going smoothly. Hailey had orchestrated Mateo’s car accident, convinced Shannon to marry her father, made Alyssa return to being a housewife, and secured her own position at Rivorn Clothing, Each step had gone according to plan, but just when Hailey was on the brink of success, everything started to go awry.

She racked her brain but couldn’t figure out why Alyssa had changed,
It was as if Alyssa had suddenly become incredibly smart and ruthless overnight. Before, Alyssa was always the most concerned about Shannon:

And what Hailey hated the most was that Alyssa actually said if Hailey had the ability, she should make Sean marry her on her own.

If Hailey left Rivorn Clothing and wasn’t by Sean’s side, their relationship would definitely cool down. Hailey thought, ‘No, I absolutely couldn’t leave Sean. I have worked so hard to win his favor and get into Rivorn Clothing. I need to replace Alyssa
Back when Alyssa was at Rivorn Clothing, she had held both the Marketing Director and Design Director positions. Now, Hailey was just a secretary and hadn’t even secured the roles of Marketing Director or Design Director. She was unwilling to leave.
With this in mind, she immediately called Sean.
“Hailey, what’s wrong?” Sean’s voice was weary as he asked.
The incident at the hotel this afternoon affected both of them significantly. Now, everyone at the company was talking about it. Although no one dared to mention it in front of Sean, they were discussing it behind his back. Many were even siding with Alyssa.
