Chapter 681
“What’s the matter?” Tyler was curious.
Hera beckoned him closer, and Tyler leaned in. Hera whispered something in his ear, and his eyes lit up the next moment. Then, he looked at her suspiciously. “You’re young but bold!”
“Are you in or not?” Hera retorted.
She needed to gather some allies to deal with Rhett and Linda while preventing Bernard from stopping her.
Tyler smirked. “I’m in! How could I miss out on such a devious scheme?”
Hera felt speechless.
Before leaving, Tyler finished the pot and asked, “What coffee is this? It tastes pretty good.”
“It’s good for your kidney. Do you like it? You can take the rest with you.” Hera handed him the canister of coffee beans.
Tyler fell silent. He felt she was mocking him but had no proof.
After Tyler left, Hera finally finished washing up and sat down to eat the food set aside. While eating, she texted Stephen, “Stephen, I’m in Southburrow. Are you free to have dinner together tonight?”
Stephen was free and was surprised to receive Hera’s text. It had been a while since they had contacted each other after Madison’s case concluded.
Stephen was delighted to dine with a beauty and immediately replied, “Sure! I’ll treat you.”
Hera smirked at his reply and booked the earliest flight to Southburrow.
“Tiramisu, I’m going out and will be back tonight. Be good,” Hera said before leaving, adding water and food to Tiramisu’s bowls.
Tiramisu grunted. It was reluctant to see her go and kept nudging Hera’s hand with its snout. Hera played with it for a while before leaving when the car she had called arrived.
After passing through security at the airport and heading toward the boarding gate, Hera felt like someone was following her. She suddenly turned around, and Sable, who was following her, immediately pretended to be a passerby.
He slipped into the nearest store, randomly pointing at an item. “How much is this?”
The sales assistant was surprised but still answered, “This is our store’s limited edition item, with limited sizes. May I know what size you need? I’ll check if we have it.”
Sable took a closer look and realized it was a women’s lingerie store. He turned bright red from embarrassment. “Sable, what a coincidence. Are you buying this for your wife?” Hera’s voice came from behind.
Sable turned around awkwardly and smiled. “What a coincidence, Ms. Youngworth.”
“Get him one of each style in the size he wants and tell me the price,” Hera instructed the sales assistant.
The sales assistant was thrilled to meet a big-spending customer and immediately calculated the price.
Sable flushed red. “There’s no need, Ms. Youngworth!”
“Go home and keep your wife company. Stop following me.” Hera swiped her card. She gestured to the sales assistant to gather the items before allowing him to leave.
The sales assistant quickly caught on. She stopped Sable when she saw him trying to follow Hera. “Sir, you haven’t told me the size you want yet.”
Sable didn’t dare to force his way through the two sales assistants and reluctantly told them to hurry up. Twenty minutes later, Sable, carrying two large bags of lingerie in both hands, arrived at Hera’s boarding gate,
only to find the plane had already taken off. He had no choice but to message Bernard, “Mr. Killian, Ms. Youngworth found out I was trailing her and ditched me.”
