Chapter 26

Alpha Adrian knew that sooner or later Silas would be here to come and get Cielle, but he was determined to keep his daughter with him.

He was her parent, she should be with him in her last day, there was no way alpha Adrian would give up this last moment to Silas.

However, he couldn’t let Silas to wait for long and has to see him on his own, lest he lost his patience and killed all the warriors at the border.

Alpha Adrian then took the car and drove toward the territory on his own.

There, he saw Silas and a few people that he had met before in the capital city, they were all here.

“Where is she?” Silas immediately asked alpha Adrian the moment he saw him. He walked toward him and glared at him. “Where is she? You have crossed so many lines, Adrian.”

It was very rude for Silas to address alpha Adrian by only his name, especially when he was also the person, who had raised him, but then, the lycan couldn’t care less about that. He was f**ing done with him.

“Calm down, Silas,” alpha Adrian said. “I will talk with you alone, alpha Adrian said.

He glanced at all the warriors to step aside because he wanted a private conversation with lycan, but the warriors on S**s side didn’t budge because they didn’t get the same order.

“Let’s do it quickly and tell your warriors to back off.” Alpha Adrian nodded at S**s’s warriors.

There was this vicious growl that enraptured the lycan’s chest when he ordered his warriors to back off.

Right now, they were facing each other, while the other warriors were surrounded them, but they stayed a little bit too far from them, so they couldn’t hear what conversation that the two of them had.

“Silas, do you think I will take my daughter back here without her permission?” alpha Adrian didn’t beat around the bush as he immediately jumped into the main problem of this whole ordeal. “I wouldn’t have taken her back if it was not for her request.”

S**s’s eyes dilated when he heard that. His jaw set, but he didn’t say anything and let alpha Adrian to speak.

“Cielle asked to be back home. She wanted to spend the rest of her time in the place that she is familiar with. She wanted to be surrounded by the people that she knew.” Alpha Adrian took a deep breathe and then continue. “She wanted to be with her parents. Do you think to be with you in a strange place is really something that she wanted?”

Silas couldn’t answer that, he kept his mouth shut and this prompted alpha Adrian to speak again.

“Please, give up on her and find your own mate.”

This was laughable because Silas was the last lycan and he could never find his own mate, because he was the last of his kind. Was this an insult?

“Let Cielle to spend the rest of her life in peace, in the place that she knows and loves,” alpha Adrian said with a sad expression, his voice was trembling. “Let her go, Silas. This is the time for you to let her go.”

Silas narrowed his eyes, but still, he didn’t say anything, which made alpha Adrian was bewildered for a while. He didn’t know what to say anymore.

“Are you done?” Silas finally spoke after two minutes of an awkward silence. “I will go in.”

“Silas, you didn’t hear what I said?” alpha Adrian was startled when Silas walked toward him and **hed the key car from his hand. He moved very fast, to the point, he couldn’t see his intention. “I told you that Cielle didn’t want to see you.”

“If she didn’t want to see me, she could tell me herself.”

That was the only thing that Silas said before he went to the car and jump inside. He drove toward the pack house. He knew this place like the back of his hand, he lived here for almost his entire life, every corner of this pack held a memory between him and Cielle.

He loved to spend his time here if that was what Cielle wanted. If she didn’t want to go back to the Bl**dy Wolf pack, he wouldn’t insist for her to go, but he only wanted to hear that from her own lips, because that was not what she said the previous night when she told him that she was happy to be with him again.

Silas drove the car like crazy and when he arrived at the pack house, he could see luna Maia was startled to see Silas, but there was not the alpha there.

“Si… las… Silas?” She stuttered, she kept glancing at the car, but there was no one following him, her face turned pale. “Wh- what did

you do to my mate?” she asked, her voice was shaking as she was thinking about the worse.

The truth was; it did make sense because of what Silas had done in Kenan’s pack. There was a possibility that he killed all the warriors, including the alpha.

However, Silas didn’t have time to entertain such wild idea.

“He is alive. He will be here shortly,” Silas said and that was all he needed to get her off his back, as he marched toward Cielle’s bedroom.

Maia couldn’t stop him. If Adrian himself couldn’t stop him, then she wouldn’t stand a chance.

Once Silas was close to her room, her comforting scent permeated in the air, he breathed deeply in her scent, because he wanted to get any semblance of peace before he opened the door and displayed his murderous intention.

Silas stood in front of the closed door for a while to get his bearing and once he looked visibly relax, he opened the door and found Cielle was sleeping in her bed.

It felt like they were in the past…
