Chapter 16
However, only a handful people knew about this relationship between them, because it could create conflict of interest, especially because the health of Jay was a top secret, since he would be the future supreme alpha.
No one should know that he relied on S***s heart blood to keep him alive. People would want a bite of his flesh if they learned about this.
This was also the reason why Silas wanted to visit Karrel before the court. It was not a fair game, since Silas basically threatened the alpha with his own son’s life, but he would go through everything just to make sure he could keep Cielle by his side, let alone this.
“Hey, buddy,” Silas called Jay when he stirred awake as he entered his bedroom. “Did I wake you up?”
Jay rubbed his sleepy face. “No. I want to pee,” he said sleepily and then got up from the bed. He hugged Silas before he went to the bathroom.
Meanwhile, Silas used this little time to draw blood from his heart. By doing this, he wouldn’t be able to shift for three days, which left him in vulnerable state, but then there was no reason for him to shift into his beast.
It hurt like hell whenever he drew the blood from his heart, but he got used to it and he was rather skillful to put it inside the empty glass there. Jay didn’t know about this, probably when he grew up, he would know what medicine was this.
When Jay returned, Silas waved the glass to him.
“Not again.” he winched. “That taste not good. He scrunched his nose.
Silas laughed at that. “Well, you will get used to it.
“I have taken that medicine for all my life, but the taste didn’t get better.”
“Five years buddy, not all of your life.”
“Same thing, I am ten.” Despite his grumbling, Jay took the glass and gulped it down until he drank the entire liquid and then made a face.
“Good job,” Silas said, he poured mineral water for him and tucked the boy in.
“Why are you here this late, Silas?” Jay yawned again.
“Because I have something to discuss with your father,” Silas replied.
“Will you be here tomorrow? You promised to teach me how to bunt.” Jay’s first shift was two months ago and he was very excited to explore a forest or two and learn how to hunt, but Karrel didn’t allow him to go alone.
“Let’s see tomorrow,” Silas said, he couldn’t promise him, he caressed his head and it didn’t take long for him to drift to sleep
After that, Silas stood up and walked out of the room, but Karrel had been standing right outside of the door and approached him.
I have seen the video.
“What do you think? Will it help?”
Karrel sighed deeply and patted his shoulder. “Good luck.”
The supreme alpha only said that and then walked away, leaving Silas stood there alone, but after that he went to his car and

drive back to the hotel. He missed Cielle dearly even though he only didn’t see her for three hours.
Celine woke up when she saw the alpha entered the room and reported to him about Cielle’s condition before she left.
Cielle was the same. She was still sleeping and only woke up when she had to eat and drink her medicine or when she needed to use the toilet.
Silas knelt down beside the bed, staring at Cielle’s sleeping face. There is no going back from this, Cielle. I will not let you go, even if you wanted to leave me, I will never let you go. You are mine.”
Silas leaned over and pressed his lips against hers gently, her scent was sweet, though it mixed with the scent from the medicine she just drank.
“I love you, Cielle. I love you.” He caressed her hair and then went to take a bath. He didn’t want his bl**dy shirt to stain the sheet or Cielle.
Silas groaned when he took of the shirt and his blood oozed out from his heart. He felt a little bit dizzy. This was the side effect of his ruthless action to cut himself open.
He breathed raggedly, as he washed himself cleaned and after that put the bandage over his wound, because his healing power couldn’t heal this kind of wound.
After that, he stayed with Cielle, he pulled her a little bit closer to him, because he wanted to feel her. He wanted her to be as close as possible, despite this action hurt him badly, but he couldn’t care less..
“Good night, my sweet angel. Sweet dream,” Silas said softly, he played with her hair until he fell asleep.
Silas remembered how when they were little, Cielle would take her to run in the wood, she would taunt him because she could run faster than him, but the truth was; Cielle could only outrun him because he allowed her to do so.
At that time, they were only five and eight. They were very innocent and only worried about mundane thing.
“When I grew up, I will be your mate.”
That was what Cielle said when she was nine, when she just learned the meaning of ‘mate’ for shifters.
‘Because I like you!”
Cielle would giggle after he said that and Silas blushed whenever Cielle referred to him as her mate.
Of course, when they grew up, Silas wouldn’t hold that word over her head when she found her destined mate, he was happy for her, despite his heart was bleeding when Cielle came to him and hug him happily, telling him that she found her destined mate.
Silas thought that would be the end of it, but then fate had a funny way to bring them back together and this time, he wouldn’t let her go.
