Chapter 694
Edwin and Molly believed that they’d done nothing wrong. Everyone else was a sinner except for them. They maintained the same beliefs in this situation.

Skylar didn’t know what was good for her. This wouldn’t have happened if she’d backed down from the challenge and left after accepting the check. She’d brought herself into this. Skylar couldn’t blame anyone else for this.
The more Edwin thought about it, the more resolute he was in his beliefs.
Joe’s threat to Molly was a senseless act of rebellion. It made no sense. He roared at
him to stop.
Edwin immediately glared at Joe. He’d thought that he meant a lot to Joe. No one could hold a flame to it. Even if Joe hated him, he wouldn’t have gone against
Edwin’s wishes.
Joe was about to cross the threshold when Edwin yelled, “Stop there!”
Molly’s heart pounded. It nearly leaped out of her chest. She wouldn’t let Joe destroy them.
“It looks like you’ve made a decision,” said Joe. He glanced at his watch before continuing, “I’ll give you one more minute. There’s no need to spew any more
nonsense. I just want to hear your answer.”
Edwin was livid. He felt as though he was about to throw up. Molly nearly swore at
him.
Thankfully, they managed to keep their composure.
“What evidence do you have? Did someone tell you something-”
Before Edwin could finish, Joe walked out.
Edwin felt suffocated by his anger. He screwed his face up. Then, he sighed before saying, “I won’t choose either. I can give my blessings to you and Skylar. I won’t interfere in your affairs. I could even put in a good word for her if our other family members ask about her. You know how much of a nuisance they can be.”
The two choices he offered were but a joke!
Molly sighed. For a second, she thought Edwin would agree to the first option to placate Joe.
However, Joe chuckled. He looked back at Molly and said, “I’ve changed my mind.
Chapter 694
You only have one option.
Molly was horrified. She exclaimed, “You’re mad!”
In the hospital, Skylar felt disoriented. It was as though she had one foot in reality and the other one in her dreams. When she opened her eyes and looked around the hospital room, everything felt surreal.
She was in the hospital. Why wasn’t she still stuck in the warehouse?
Had she lost too much blood? Was this a hallucination?
She thought she’d seen Joe somewhere. When she was about to lose consciousness, Joe appeared before her.
Skylar was unsure of whether she was dreaming or not. As she was lost in thought, Paul’s face came into view.
Glee took over Paul’s expression. He exclaimed, “Mrs. Martin is up!”
“Has she woken up? Let me take a look,” Howard said. He’d been dozing off on the couch. When he heard Paul’s exclamation, he stood up and strode toward the bed.
Skylar heard their familiar voices. She looked at Paul and asked slowly, “Did you guys
save me?”
Everything hadn’t been a dream. It had happened.
“Yes. Mr. Martin saved you. We’ve apprehended the men. Your wounds have been tended to. Thankfully, we’d showed up in time,” Paul replied immediately.
Showed up in time…
