Chapter 163
Another man emerged from the restroom. He froze as soon as he noticed Millie, wondering if he had entered the wrong place.
Millie gulped and turned to leave. However, Winston hooked his arm around hers.
He fixed his eyes on Millie, his gaze either intense or chillingly stern. She frowned while signaling for him to let go with her eyes.
But Winston paid no heed. It seemed like he had no intention of releasing her.
Right then, a man in his 20s staggered in and bumped into Millie’s shoulder. The momentum caused her to collide with Winston.
With a subtle retract of his arm, Winston pulled Millie into his embrace.
While holding her close, they heard someone behind them exclaim, “Why is this woman in the men’s restroom?”
The man stumbled toward Millie as he spoke. He then reached out to grab her shoulder and intended to drag her out.
Winston’s expression shifted slightly. He frowned before pulling Millie backward, leaving the man’s hand grasping thin air.
“My apologies. She made a mistake,” Winston said calmly.
Millie couldn’t help but glance at him, who happened to look at her as well.
The second their eyes met, Millie felt a sense of being protected. Winston had actually apologized to someone else for her.
His actions were enough to make her heart flutter after a long time. This was also how she had fallen for him during her youth.
“W–Who are you to her?” the man demanded.
With an unfocused gaze and an arrogant tone, he pointed at Winston and added, ” You can’t just claim it was a mistake! She saw me. H–How am I supposed to deal with his embarrassment?”
Winston responded with a scornful chuckle. Embarrassed? What was the man thinking to say something so brazen?
Millie couldn’t help looking at the man. After noticing his bald head and beer belly,

she suddenly felt that life had become dull and uninteresting. He was just an average man, yet he had the confidence of a king!
*Just ignore him. He’s delusional,” Millie remarked. She hooked her arm around Winston’s and was ready to leave.
Winston cocked an eyebrow. A sense of amusement filled his eyes as he looked at her fingers, while a faint smile played on his lips.
Millie had just started to walk away when the man stopped her. “Who are you calling delusional?”
She shot him a frosty, fierce glare. Of course, she was talking about him.
“You came into the men’s restroom, yet you said I’m delusional? Believe it or not, I’ll call the police now and report you for harassment?”
The man exuded an air of menace as he pointed at Millie.
Annoyed, she retorted, “Do as you please!
“Stop right there!” The man grabbed Millie’s arm to pull her back. “How dare you be so arrogant! Do you even know who I am?”
His words caused Millie and Winston to look at him simultaneously. They genuinely had no idea who this nobody was.
“Enlighten us, please,” Winston said indifferently. His voice was sharp, tinged with an inexplicable sense of authority.
The man sized Winston up before lifting his chin and proudly announcing, “My father is Gideon Anderson!”
Millie paused momentarily. “Gideon?”
“Do you know him?” Winston asked while looking down at her.
Millie chuckled. She indeed knew who Gideon was. He was the man who had kept hitting on her at the dinner earlier.
As the saying went, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. She was convinced this entire family was messed up.
Millie pushed the man’s hand away and answered, “Anderson Group didn’t even make it into Yerwick City’s Top 100, so why are you trying to show off?”
Her tone dripped with sarcasm, reflecting Winston’s style.

Though he had never loved Millie over the years, she had been influenced by his way of doing things and manner of speech.
