Chapter 138
At this moment, Jaden was not home but had gone to the Reid Villa, now Liana’s residence. Liana hadn’t anticipated his visit and hadn’t had time to prepare. She quickly changed into a long blue dress, applied lipstick, and eagerly went downstairs

“Jaden, what a surprise to see you! Did you notice that the decor here is just like before? Do you know how much effort it took to gather all these old furnishings Remember how you often came to my house and played hide and seek in the living room?” She came down the stairs with cheerful steps, her chatter nonstop
Jaden sat coldly on the sofa, giving her a distant glance. Liana, seemingly unaffected by his anitude, continued to chat cheerfully. “My dad called me today and asked about you. He misses you a lot and plans to return. We should have a meal together, just like before…
“What did you say to Ella Jaden wasn’t interested in her sentimental talk; he had come to

the truth
Upon hearing this, Liana’s heart skipped a beat. She still forced herself to stay calm. Jaden, what are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
“You called me to the hotel that day. I thought your scheme had failed, but it seems I underestimated you. What did you send her that made her believe something was between us?” Jaden said.

“Jaden, this is her framing and scheming! I haven’t done anything. She’s trying to sow discord between us. How can you question me without confronting her firs?” Lana said.
“It seems I won’t get the answers I’m looking for. If you’re unwilling to tell the truth, then forget it” Jaden said, dismissively, no longer interested in her pretense, and then left
Liana was stunned; she had prepared the words she had to say, but they went unused. She thought, Did he believe me so quickly! It seems I still have some weight in his heart! With that realization, she beamed with joy.
Unbeknownst to her, as soon as Jaden left the Reid Villa, he turned to Hank and instructed, “Make sure the Reid family goes bankrupt. When that happens, she’ll have no choice but to speak up.”
Jaden didn’t return home but remained busy outside. Hank observed Jaden deliberately avoided going home, and Hank’s suspicion was correct
Jaden was caught in a deep internal conflict. He didn’t know how to deal with Ella and the child she carried, especially since his feelings for her were unreturned. He feared that seeing her might lead him to demean himself and struggled with wanting to punish her while being unwilling to see her suffer. For the time being he believed staying apart wat the best solution.
Updates about Ella would occasionally come through. She didn’t resist, ale, and drank as usual, and her complexion improved significantly, Work- related matters were communicated through Yolanda Seeing her so calm and composed only made Jaden feel more frustrated.
Two days later, news from abroad also arrived
Sull basking in her satisfaction, Liana received a call from her father, Howard Reid “Liana, the Reid family is finished. The stock prices have crashed. Someone is maliciously shorting our stocks. The Read family is heading towards bankruptcy. Liana, please think of a way to help, or the Reid family will be completely ruined.”
“How could this happen“” Liana’s heart sank.
“Go find Jaden quickly. He’s the only one who can save the Reid family now,” Howard said.
“Okay, I go right away!” Liana replied.
Liana rushed to the Denison Group but was stopped by the receptionist, She had no appointment and couldn’t get through. “Tm the fiancée of your CEO! Let me up–I have something urgent to discuss with him!”
“Sorry, no one can see him without an appointment, regardless of who you are,” the receptionist said.
*You……. just wait,” Liana snarled.
She then went to Jaden’s private residence but was stopped by the security guard. “Mr. Watson hasn’t been home these days. Please leave.”
“Do you know where he is? I’ve been trying to call him, but his phone is off, I have something urgent to discuss with him.” Liana pleaded desperately, her concern for the Reid family driving her urgency. The security guard shook his head repeatedly. Disheartened, she tried calling Yolanda, but both siblings seemed to have their phones turned off as if they had planned it
As Liana was about to leave in despair, she caught sight of a familiar figure in the courtyard out of the corner of her eye. She gripped the iron gate tightly and stared at Ella, who was outside enjoying the sun. “How dare you show up here, you bitch!”
Ella noticed Liana as well. If it weren’t for the gate blocking her, Liana might have rushed in to tear Ella apart. The hatred in Liana’s eyes was intense and unsettling
Ella opened her mouth, wanting to explain, but then hesitated. She wasn’t sure what Jaden’s intentions were in keeping her confined and well-

cared–for, but she felt no obligation to explain herself to Liana.
“Place the lounge chair here. I’m craving some nut cookies, so please make a batch and prepare a glass of fresh prune juice for me” Then, she put on her sunglasses, applied sunscreen, and enjoyed basking in the sun,
*Ella Willow, I’m asking you, Answer me?” Liana shouted.
“Where did that barking sound come from? It’s so annoying! Ella complained as she dug at her ears.
At that moment, the servant handed her a glass of fresh juice, which she sipped delicately. In stark contrast to her leisurely demeanor, Liana appeared much more flustered and desperate, facing obstacle after obstacle.
“Ella Willow, stop deluding yourself since Jaden doesn’t love you. You’ll never have him; his heart isn’t with you!” Liana said bitterly through the gate. In truth, she wasn’t entirely confident in her own words. But at this point, all she could do was voice her frustration
Ella ignored her, and the servants and security guards, watching from the sidelines, looked on with a hint of amusement. Their gazes seemed to regard Liana as nothing more than a minor distraction. Liana’s face burned with anger as she stormed off, unable to longer contain her frustration.
She returned to the Denison Group but was told by the security guard that Jaden hadn’t been home for several days. Despite this, she refused to leave and stubbornly waited at the entrance. She repeatedly tried calling both siblings, but no one answered.
“Brother.” Yolanda was increasingly restless in the CEO’s office and wanted to reach for her phone. However, when Jaden glanced up with a coll look in his eyes, she quickly withdrew her hand, frightened.
The front desk and the villa had both called to report that Liana had been there. Yolanda was eager to meet Liana, but Jaden wouldn’t let her.
“Do you know about the outrageous things she’s done but haven’t told me? Are you her sister or mine? Jaden asked.

The situation could no longer be kept secret. After seeking out Liana, Jaden also confronted Yolanda. Since they were close, Yolanda might known something as well.
“I had understood the situation, so you do not need to cover for her. Although we’re not from the same mother, Yolanda, I’ve always treated you like a real sister. Now, are you going to help outsiders deceive your brother!” Jaden said.
Yolanda reluctantly revealed everything she knew. Though Jaden had yet to see the video, he could easily imagine how it had been maliciously edited to appear suggestive and misleading. It was clear that the footage had been manipulated to create misunderstandings Otherwise, Ella wouldn’t have suspected any inappropriate behavior between them at the hotel Jaden had given Liana a chance, but since she hadn’t valued it correctly, he had no reason to be lenient.
Yolanda said, “Brother, Liana is in poor health and has been running around all day. If something were to happen to her…”
‘re in even worse health than she is, and yet you’re speaking up for her?” Jaden said:
“You’re in even w
Yolanda replied. “But Liana looks much more fragile than I do…”
“That’s just how you see it,” Jaden said.
