Chapter 1844
Alaric’s face was a mask of frosty seriousness as he glanced at Alar. The little boy, though adorable in appearance, seemed to shrink in on himself, his timidity and skittishness painting a picture of someone struggling with deep-seated fears.
Compared to the vibrant and cheerfully vivacious Helena and Julian, it was like comparing night and day.
Georgia was clearly pushing the Falconer family’s buttons with precision!
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Angelina shot Alaric a look filled with both self-reproach and annoyance. Concerned about frightening the child, she softened her tone and chided, “Alaric, this is all on you. You’ve been an absent father, and you need to make amends for the lack of love you’ve shown.”
Alaric’s face darkened immediately, his anger boiling over as he retorted, “This is all Georgia’s doing! First off, I never asked her to have the child! If I had known she was pregnant, I would have never allowed it to happen! And secondly, she’s not fit to be a mother. What’s the point of having a child if you don’t love them?”
With that, he stormed off, leaving Angelina and Georgia in shock.
Hertha, on the other hand, had raised their two children without a father’s presence, yet she managed to nurture them into lively, cheerful, and adorable kids who brightened Alaric’s day whenever they called him ‘Daddy’.
Such sunny and lively children were like a balm to his irritated soul. Ads by PubFuture
Hertha had single-handedly raised their children without once reproaching him for his absence or using the children as leverage to manipulate him into doing something.
But Georgia!
When the child was hurt, her first reaction wasn’t concern for his well-being, but how she could use the incident to manipulate Alaric into showing up. The child’s timidity was not met with support or companionship from her, but with accusations of lacking fatherly love. What was her next move? To use the child’s struggles as an excuse to force Alaric into marrying her and providing a ‘complete’ family?
Alaric didn’t need to guess; he knew Georgia’s intentions were precisely that.
Those three years of being blackmailed by Georgia were unbearable for Alaric!
She used their past relationship to coerce him into an engagement and even interfered with his work and personal life.
She had barged into his company on multiple occasions, boldly accusing him in front of his colleagues of being a kept man, saying he rode on the coattails of the Reed family demanding he follow her whims. The humiliation of having his dignity trampled on, the rage he had to swallow, Alaric couldn’t bear to go through that again!
So, no matter how Georgia tried to manipulate him now, he wouldn’t give in or show mercy. Ads by PubFuture

Turning to see Georgia in her state of heartbreak and defiance, Angelina softly consoled, “Georgia…”
Biting her lip, tears began to fall as Georgia fought back her emotions.
The little boy, witnessing Georgia’s tears, voiced his concern in a timid whisper, “Mommy?”
“Get away, don’t call me Mommy!” Georgia’s inner volcano erupted as she lashed out at the child.
