Chapter 162
I woke up and didn’t feel tired at all, but I was certainly nervous. The morning has disappeared as I sit, getting my hair and makeup done.

Gail. Kacy, and Clara have spent the entire morning with me. It’s nice and calm, which I know will end later. Gail keeps trying to get me to drink. My excuse is I feel off after last night.
She thinks I was drinking, but the glass was lemonade and nothing else in it, so today I am ‘hungover‘ and not drinking until the reception.
It’s a perfect excuse and stops her from asking questions about me not drinking.
“Okay, we will go get our dresses on,” Clara announces and leaves with Kacy. Gail sits next to me and smiles.
“How are you feeling?” she asks.
“Fine, I think I just drank too much,” I laugh slightly.
“I meant about today, not after last night,” she chuckles.

“I’m nervous, but I’ll be fine,” I say, and she nods.
Chapter 162
“You will be fine, you’re family now, and my daughter so don’t worry about today, he loves you and is going to marry you Alexis.” She smiles and grasps my hand.
“Thank you, Gail; you didn’t need to accept me or be nice to me after what I did for work,” I say because I know any parent would hate that their child was marrying a pornstar or past pornstar.
“Alexis, I wouldn’t have cared if you were a prostitute; you were the first woman I saw that dated Eros, that fought for him, that cared for him. I care about that more than what your work was.” She sighs and looks at me.
“I saw it instantly before I even came. Those calls with me told me your were different and that he loved you, as soon as I saw you walk out of that room, and saw the way you looked at each other, I knew it was right. I would never have stopped it,” she hugs me, and I nod, crying.
“Thank you, Gail, that means so much to me,” I say, and she nods, smiling.
“Get your dress on. We should be getting ready to leave soon,” she says, and I nod. I walk through to where my dress is hung up. I unzip the bag and stare at the dress.
It’s a one–shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline. The slit on one. side goes up to the top of my hip, but there is a small bit of mesh that covers my thigh with gemstones across it.
Chapter 162
It looks like a wrap dress but is stunning. Once I have it on and my shoes on, I walk out. Everyone stares at me.
“Does it look okay?” I ask, unsure of why they were all there when I picked the dress. “I know many think wedding dresses should be elegant and whatnot. So I know the slit alone is a conversation point, but I didn’t want to force myself to wear something simple that hides my body,” I explain.
“It’s stunning. Don’t worry, Alexis. Anything you wore would be appropriate as long as you were comfortable with it. You’re not one to consider what others think, so why start now?” Gail asks, and I shrug.
“It’s our wedding,” I say, knowing that it is an important day and I don’t
want to mess up.
“Exactly, your wedding day. Yours and Eros, no one else’s, would he approve of the dress?” Kacy asks, and I nod. “Then screw everyone else. Are you ready to leave?”
I nod, and we walk out to the cars. Clara and Kacy get out first, and Gail looks at me..
“Are you sure you want to walk in alone? I might not be the mother who gave birth to you, Alexis, but I am still your mum going forward, so if you don’t want to walk alone, say,” she looks at me, and I nod.
“Thanks,” I move and hug her.
Chapter 160
“I know your parents died when you were young, and your nan
watched you, and I never met them, but they would be proud of you,” she says, and I nod.
When I get out. I stand at the door feeling more anxious, but it helps. that I have Gail with me. Walking in, I see Eros at the front, and I try not to rush, but my body wants to run to him, even though it’s only been hours since we saw each other.
We reach him, and he kisses his mum’s cheek. “Thank you, mother.”
“No thanks needed; she’s family.” She hugs us both and sits. He looks. at me, and his head shakes as he looks at the dress. Panic floods me.
“You don’t like it?” I whisper.
“I love it; it’s the perfect dress to taunt me all day,” he smirks, and I relax, we get through the ceremony, say our vows and then leave.

All through the meal, I stay close to Eros and avoid drinking. Having Clara next to me helps. When her glass is half empty, we switch, and then when she finishes my drink, we switch again so it looks like I drank.
The plan works to ensure no one knows. After the speeches are done, everyone gets up and moves around the room. I watch as William walks over and hands Eros an envelope before leaving us.
“Divorce papers already, Sir? Am I that bad?” I joke, and he laughs. He

moves and lifts me to stand, his hands lifting my dress more so he cant pull me onto his lap to straddle him.
“Not divorce papers, baby girl. We have looked at a lot of houses, right? Well, I found the perfect one and bought it,” he says, opening the envelope and taking out the papers.
I know whatever it is will be perfect. He turns the papers, and my body freezes. I stare at them, and tears fill my eyes, my head shaking. He didn’t? I fight back the sobs, and his hand tangles into my hair.
“I think it’s the perfect family home, what do you think?” he asks, and I just cry like a fucking baby. He pulls me closer and smiles. “I hope that you are crying through happiness and not sadness. The price of the house has risen a lot since you had to give it up,” he explains, and I
nod.
“L…” God, he’s perfect.
“I love you baby girl, the house is everything we wanted. I had to pay for them to agree to sell it and move out, but I bought your family home, your childhood home.”
I cuddle him, and I try to stop crying, but I fail. My parents‘ home was amazing. It had large gardens, a pool, everything. They died, and it was left to me when I turned eighteen. I didn’t get to keep it, though it was taken from me to pay for the debt Jack had built.
“Thank you,” I whisper, and he sits me up, grasping my face in his

hands.
“No thanks needed, baby girl. It needed work, but it’s sorted, and we’re going there tonight,” he announces, and my eyes widen. Tonight? “Now, why aren’t you drinking?”
My body stills at his words. “I am,” I argue.
“No, you’re switching glasses with Clara,” he says while laughing.
“I drank too much last night, and I felt sick,” I lie and his head tilts.
“Really? As Kacy told me today, she took a drink of yours by mistake. last night, and it wasn’t alcohol.” His eyes raise.
Shit. “Well, I didn’t want to be hungover today, did I? So I pretended to drink.” I laugh slightly.
“Baby girl, you’re not a good liar. Answer me, why aren’t you drinking?” He asks and waits.
“I’m pregnant,” I whisper.
“And you kept it hidden, why?” He smirks at me.
“Because I knew you would change everything! Last night wouldn’t have happened, I would have been sat at
home, with bubble wrap

around me,” I argue and he laughs.
“I knew baby girl, I knew before you even took the test. You’re at hormonal bitch lately, not to mention when I touch you, your body reacts so much fucking quicker.” He leans forward and kisses me. “I didn’t cancel last night, and I knew. So stop pretending you’re not. pregnant, now can we have our first dance?” He asks, and I nod.
He guides me to the floor. James Lawson ‘Wasn’t Expecting That‘, plays and his arms wrap around my body as we move to the music. It’s crazy to think I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t join the business.

Eros found me from that, so would we have found each other eventually, or just walked by each other in the street and never realised? I’m glad that I have him and that we have our perfect home and soon our own family.
