Chapter 151
I spent the morning with Clara at the police station while she gave statements. While I was there, Eros promised to search for any contracts and such that was Clara’s to help.

However, any videos of Clara are no doubt at Elon’s place, which means we have to hope the police find them when they search his place.
Now, she is back at Eros‘, I’m at the business, and Hellen, someone Eros knows, is teaching me what I need to know. Everyone has begun. working again.
All the new contracts were drawn up this morning. It’s nice to see the women more relaxed, maybe because they know Elon has gone.
“We can hire you a personal assistant if that would help,” Hellen looks at me. You will be fine with contracts and such, but if there is more to it, then a personal assistant can help,” she explains.
“To be fair, it’s more about contacting the other managers and also the agencies. Then there are the websites that the videos are contracted out to.” I don’t know how to do that.
“That will come in time; it’s no different from the contracts with the workers. I’m sure you will be fine. I’m here for a month as well. Don’t forget that,” she smiles, and I nod.

“I’m going to walk around and check on people.” I smile and walk out. I’m glad she will be here for a month to help me get settled. Walking through, I glance around. Wesley left, or at least I think he did. I’m not sure if Eros just told him to go because so many had reported feeling uncomfortable with him..
I speak to some of the women for a short while and smile when I see Clara’s message. Of course, Eros hired Clara as his personal assistant to replace Olivia. That explains why he’s been quiet all day.
“Miss Burns, someone is here to see you,” Hellen says, and I turn to see her.
“It’s actually Mrs Heathrow, Alexis Jane Heathrow,” the voice has my eyes widening. Turning. I face him, and his eyes widen.
“Alexis?” He steps closer and stares at me. His eyes go past me to where they are filming. Placing my hand on his chest, I push him back.
“You shouldn’t be down here,” I say.
“Alexis?” He leans closer, and I move back.
“What do you want, Jack?” I ask.
His eyes widen. “You’re actually fucking Alexis?” I laugh at his shock. “You don’t even look like you. What the hell?” He stares at me.
Chapter 151
“Jack, what are you doing? Why have you now, after years, shown up?” I ask and walk away from where they are filming.
“We’re married. Why wouldn’t I come to see you?” He laughs slightly.
“We’re about to be divorced,” I snap, and his eyes widen more. “You won’t know but I tried for years to find you, now the courts have agreed to the divorce without your input because you went awol and even they couldn’t find you,” I shout.
“I was in France,” he says, and I laugh.
“You were enjoying the money you got by running up debt in my name, right?” I say, and he stands confused.
“What debt?”
“Don’t play dumb, Jack; you left all your debt on me because we were married. My house was half fucking yours, remember!” I shout, and he laughs. “You’re a fucking jerk,” I shout, and he nods.
“I assumed it would be in my name, figured when I returned after six years it would be written off, laws and shit,” he shrugs slightly.
“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed your life of freedom while I worked to clear the debt and my name.” I shout.
“You didn’t have to.”

“Yes, I did. We were married: it wasn’t just in your name, Jack. What do you want?” I ask.
“I just got back and thought I would come see you, why are you acting so damn cold?” He looks at me.
“Maybe because you left me that deep in debt, I had to work and sell my body essentially, and it’s taken me over eight years to pay it off.” How can he act damn calm?
“I know, I had no idea that was you, Alexis, Bunny Wild. When you turned, I thought it was a fucking joke, as this isn’t the girl I left.”
“What do you want, Jack?” I ask again.
“To see me, wife, is that hard to believe? I told you I just got back. I set up a business and everything.” He says, and I nod.
“Well done, Jack, now you can leave and enjoy your fucking business,” I snap.
“I plan to, with you,” he says, and I laugh. My mouth opens to argue, and he speaks. “The fact that you’re well, Bunny Wild says that you have no life, no partner, nothing. I thought I might have to work to get your forgiveness and get you back, but there’s no one to fight against,” he says as he steps closer.
“I was waiting for you,” I feel a hand wrap around my waist and I get

pulled back, I glance up and smile seeing Eros. “Something wrong?” He looks from me to Jack.
“Eros, this is Jack,” I say, and he turns from me to look at him.
“The Ex–husband,” Eros says, and I nod.
“Still her husband,” Jack states. He looks from Eros to me.
“Not now. Mr Westbrook chased it up with the courts yesterday, and he just dropped this off.” Eros holds out the envelope, and I open it. After months of using my solicitor and getting nowhere, Mr Westbrook got it sorted in twenty–four hours.
I look at Eros. “He’s paid well,” he shrugs, and I laugh.
“Ex–husband, Jack. I suggest you go back to France and your business.” I say and watch as he nods and walks out.
“Why is he back?” Eros asks.
“No idea, he claimed for me. Apparently he went to France and started a business. He was shocked when he saw me and actually didn’t think I was me at first,” I say while laughing.
“I did tell you, that picture of your wedding day looks nothing like who you are now. Still beautiful, but entirely different,” he says before. kissing my neck.

“You gave Clara a job?” I ask.
“I usually get an intern and train them up. I can do the same with Clara. Once she is trained, she will get a qualification, so if she wants to go elsewhere, she can.” He shrugs like it’s nothing.
“Thank you.” I say and kiss him. “For everything, but also for letting her stay and telling her she doesn’t need to rush to leave,” I explain.
“Like I would push her out. I meant it, Alexis, I know you, and if she doesn’t stay at mine, you will leave, and I just got you, so that’s not at choice,” he says, and I smile.

“Come on, let’s get home.” He kisses my neck and guides me out. I’m glad he let Clara stay, as he’s right. I would go to my apartment and move her in there with me.
