Chapter 34
Ella finally broke the last barrier, exposing the truth. Some people were furious and stormed out. Others whispered quietly but stayed Eventually, few directors resigned.
The sudden resignation of high–level directors was bad news for the company and could impact the stock price. And indeed, Willow Group’s stock price hin a new low, with many shareholders grumbling
Ella forced herself to keep going. She couldn’t be a businessperson who only cared about profits. When emotions clashed with profits, she always chose emotions, even though she knew it wasn’t right. She couldn’t sacrifice her husband for the company’s benefit. If she did, what if someone later demanded her grandfather’s life for the company’s benefic? Would she have to consider that too, thinking he was old and wouldn’t live long anyway!
Thinking about this made her even more determined. She wouldn’t give up the people she cared about. She knew her abilities were limited, and she’d take the company as far as she could. If it went bankrupt, so be it. At least she’d have a clear conscience.
“Mr. Watson, several directors at Willow Group have resigned,” Hank reported.
“Why?” Juden asked.
Hank hesitated before saying, “I found out that Ms. Willow refused to sacrifice you for the company’s beneht

Jaden was silent. Ella’s actions surprised him. She was fighting so hard to protect a retard! Hearing Hank’s words, Jaden felt a warmth spread through him. He’d always been the one abandoned. For the first time, someone was firmly choosing and protecting him. If only she didn’t have a past with Harry and that illegitimate child, maybe he could have pretended and kept up the act with her. But even in her difficult situation, it couldn’t change his decision to leave.
“Keep applying pressure
“Mr. Watson, isn’t that a bit cruel Ms. Willow is still just a young girl
“She’ll know what to do if she can’t hold on,” Jaden said coldly, without a trace of sympathy.
Soon, the partnership between the two companies ran into trouble. Demson Group was withdrawing its investment. Without their investment, many orders couldn’t be fulfilled, and Willow Group would suffer lige losses. Even if Ella paid the breach of contract fees, it wouldn’t be enough. The short–term funding gap would completely drag Willow Group down
“My Willow, Mr. White’s stance is clear, I hope you understand, Hank said.
“Tell him I don’t care. I’m done with him! Just because he has money, he thinks he can be so petty! What did the Watson family ever do to him! Even the Watson family dog must have offended him! My husband is already a retard. How could he have any issues with Mr. White? Is this still the era where people can force others to divorce for no reason? Does Mr. White think he’s Hider?” Ella raged.
“Ms. Willow…” Hank was stunned, staring wide–eyed at Ella When Ella was angry, she talked like a machine gun, not pausing for a breath.
Hank had a Bluetooth earpiece and was still on a call with Jaden Every word was heard by Jaden.
At that moment. Jaden’s feelings were complicated. He felt insulted, yet not really, leaving him uneasy.
“Ms. Willow, please watch your language, Hank said awkwardly, trying to stop her.
“Why should I? If I ever see him, I’ll hit him. That jerk deserves a beating! Ella fumed
Hearing Ella’s words, Jaden ordered Hank, “Hank, put me on speaker.”
Hank switched off the Bluetooth, and Jaden’s deliberately low voice came through the phone, “I hear you want to hit me

Ella, startled, looked around, thinking Marcus was there. Realizing he wasn’t, she looked at the phone, holding it with both hands. “Mr. White!”
“Am I peny?” Jaden’s tone was icy.
“Why are you eavesdropping! That’s so impolite. Did I say anything wrong? Maybe you’re the pettiest person in the world, Ella couldn’t help muttering.
“Ella!” Jaden was furious. Til ask you one last time, will you divorce that retard?”
“I won’t divorce him!” Ella said firm
I firmly
“Seems like Willow Group isn’t important to you.”

Chapter 34
“No, it’s important to me, but in shouldn’t come at the cost of my family. I don’t know what the Watson family did to offend you, making everyone pay the price. But he’s just a retard, he can’t hurt anyone. If you won’t even spare him, I honestly look down on you!”
“It’s not your place to judge me! Do you think you can protect him?” Jaden’s voice was full of anger.
Ella’s face turned pale, her hand trembling. She was scared, but she chose to fight back. “As long as I can protect him for even a moment, I’ll do my best. I married him, I have to be responsible for him. He’s a person, not something to be discarded.”
She braced herself for Jaden’s furious rebuke. She had offended everyone for her husband.
fat unexpectedly, the other end of the line was silent. Ella couldn’t read his thoughts. “Mr. White?” The response was a busy signal.
“How made!” Ella muttered, pouting. He hung up without a word! She handed the phone back to Hank, “Please tell him, no won’t regret my decision today”
no matter
what happens, I
Hank pressed his lips together, giving her a deep look before turning away.
Ella was puzzled. Why did Hank look at her with admiration?
In the following days. Ella lived in constant stress, ready to sell anything valuable to get through the crisis and keep the company running. But Denison Group’s retaliation never came. They didn’t withdraw the investment, and the latest payment had already been made.
Elli was confused. Did Denison Group forges to inform the staff about the withdrawalt She wasn’t about to call and remind them. Finally, she could go home. Living in the office was nowhere near as comfortable as her home. She was eager to get back
Once home, Ella changed her shoes and coat, instinctively asking Hazel, “How’s Jaden’s appetite been these days? Has he been unhappy?”
Hazel replied, “Mr. Watson is fine.
That’s good. As long as Jaden is happy” Ella sighed in relief, carrying her things to knock on his door.
The door opened quickly Jaden, in
in clean white pajamas, his hair soft, looked calm and gentle. He looked like an angel in the snow.
Ella’s exhaustion vanished when she saw him. She tiptoed and reached up to touch his head, “I got you some chocolate bars. Try them.”
Jaden looked down at the snack, feeling a stir in his heart. He wanted to ask why she didn’t give up on him. He was just a “relard“. Even if they divorced, she wouldn’t have any guilt, as it would just return him to his old life. A retard wouldn’t hold grudges.
“What are you thinking about?” Ella noticed Jaden’s quietness
“No time ever brought me chocolate bars, Jaden said softly.
