Chapter 336
Mila’s mother had served as a servant for the Blake family, primarily caring for Luke’s grandfather, Jerrod Blake, who was paralyzed. During that period Luke had been in a prolonged conflict with the Yearwood Group. Despite his efforts, Like not only failed to defeat Yearwood Group but also inadvertently brought trouble upon the Make family. This made him frustrated.
One time, when Mila, who was still studying university back then, went to visit her mother, she happened to run into Luke. He was immediately struck by her beautiful features and thought she might be Vincent’s type. With this in mind, he devised a plan to use Mila to seduce Vincent and dismantle the Yearwood Group,
However, at that time, Mila was reluctant to comply. Tragically, Jerrod unexpectedly passed away during this period, and Luke used the opportunity to threaten to prosecute Mila’s mother for negligence in Jerrod’s care. The two women were no match for capitalism, so Mila’s mother was arrested, and shortly after, she was diagnosed with cancer. Desperate to save her mother and with no other choice, Mila reluctantly agreed to Luke’s demands.
Luke first made Mila join Vincent’s company and seize the opportunity to make her debut. With his backing. Mila gained modest popularity in the entertainment industry, Luke then created numerous opportunities for Mila to get close to Vincent and capture his heart, all while undermining Yearwood Group by spreading damaging rumors and stealing crucial company documents, taking over important projects from them.
Mila exceeded Luke’s expectations with her performance. She completed the mission perfectly, Vincent was let thoroughly defeated, and Yearwood Group faced near–destruction. However, no one expected Sullivan Group and Frost Group to join forces and take action.
The Blake family enjoyed a brief period of prosperity before being overpowered by the combined forces of Sullivan Group and Frost Group. In an attempt to salvage what remained of the company, Luke had no choice but to redirect his efforts toward international expansion. After more than two years of relentless dedication, he successfully revitalized the company.
Upon encountering Mila at the hotel reception. Luke trailed after her Aware that she was the woman Vincent loved. Luke sought to unleash the pent–up anger accumulated over the past two years by using her as a tool for revenge against Vincent
Luke smirked nonchalantly at Vincent, who seethed with rage, and remarked. Is this really necessary? There are countless women out there. Why confine yourself to just one? Besides, you’ve already slept with her. Let others have a turn.“

Vincent’s eyes narrowed dangerously, radiating a palpable intensity. Clinging to his last thread of sanity, he gently shielded Mila’s eyes, murmuring reassuringly, “Don’t worry. Close your eyes
Mila trembled violently but obediently shut her eyes. Soon after, she could sense Vincent walking away before the commotion of a light erupted.
Vincent launched into a relentless assault, not showing any mercy. In response. Lake fought back fiercely, too. His violent character coupled with regular workouts made him a good fighter, too. They were evenly matched, sustaining injuries of varying severity in the brutal confrontation.
Ten minutes later, Luke finally conceded defeat. Flustered and leaning against the wall, he spar out blood from his mouth and cursed. “Damn it! You call me crazy? I think you’re the mad one here! Fighting so fiercely for a woman who might betray you again. This isn’t over. I’ll see you again soon.” With that, he limped away, visibly battered and bruised.

The room fell silent. Vincent clutched his chest, his face marred by bruises with traces of blood at the corner of his mouth. Instead of asking Milato open her eyes, he gritted his teeth against the pain and made his way to the door. Once ourside, he ensured the door was securely closed before retreating to his own room
Inside, he leaned against the door and slid down slowly. With trembling hands, he retrieved his phone and dialed the hotel’s security and the police.
Mila’s complexion was drained of color. She cautiously opened her eyes upon hearing the door click shut. Surveying the messy room, she found it empty, yet the aftermath of an intense fight was evident. Worried about Vincent’s well–being, she hurried to his room without a moment’s hesitation and knocked urgently on the door. “Vincent, are you in there? Are you hurt! Her voice trembled with concern.
Met with complete silence, Mila continued knocking on the doar relentlessly, her voice choked from worry, “Vincent, please answer me, she pleaded, knowing that Vincent wouldn’t have rushed back to his room unless he was injured.
Several minutes passed with no response. Eventually, the hotel staff arrived accompanied by a police officer. “Excuse me, are you Ms. Ward?” the officer inquired
Mila nodded in a daze.
The officer continued, “Miss, a gentleman called us, reporting an incident where you were allegedly harassed by a man. Is that true?”
Again, Milanodded, recognizing it was Vincent who had made the call, Relieved that Vincent didn’t seem to be seriously injured, she recounted the recent events to the police in detail
Finally, the police officer asked. “Could you please clarify your relationship with this gentleman?“.
Mila was taken aback by the question. She hesitated, unsure how to answer.

Behind the closed door, Vincent similarly froze, wanting quietly for her response.
Mila paused briefly, her lips parting as she pondered her response. After a moment, she spoke hesitantly, “He’s my friend:
Upon hearing her response, Vincent sneered bitterly after a moment of silence, thinking. And here I was thinking of forgiving her if her response was what I hoped in hear. Looks like I’m being delusional. This woman is heartless.
The officer left after learning what had happened

The staff member glanced at the indicator light on the door and shook his head apologetically. I’m sorry, but according to our policy, we cannot enter the room while the guest is inside
“But he’s alone in there. I’m worried something might happen to him,” Mila said anxiously.
The staff member maintained a professional demeanor. “You can knock. If he wants to let you in, he’ll open the door.”
Frustrated by the staff’s detached response, Mila knocked on the door again after he left.
