She had finished off the remaining side dishes and pasta, leaving her feeling content as she leaned back on the sofa and let out a long sigh.

Kate, still fighting fatigue, sat up and massaged Eric’s leg for a while before yawning. She asked, “I need to take a bath; do you want to join?”
Eric’s gaze deepened slightly. He glanced at his leg and replied quietly, “No, I’m fine.”
Kate nodded. She took her pyjamas and headed to the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of running water filled the bathroom.
Eric looked towards the bathroom and sighed silently.
Without his injuries, this period would have been different.
Sighing again, Eric wheeled himself back to his room.
After finishing her bath, Kate began yawning as she entered the bedroom.
She had been busy for days without proper rest. After the bath, the fatigue overwhelmed her, making her want to sleep immediately.
She did collapse onto the bed, but Eric gently helped her up.
He naturally grabbed the hairdryer and started drying her hair.
Kate leaned back lazily as Eric’s large hands meticulously combed through her hair while he dried it.
His movements were gentle, and he slowly massaged her scalp as he dried her hair. When he finished, he wasn’t surprised to find that Kate had already fallen asleep, leaning against the headboard.
After putting away the hairdryer, Eric sighed softly and let out a helpless smile. He carefully repositioned Kate, wrapping his arms around her before falling into a deep sleep himself.

A hint of joy flickered in Eric’s eyes.
Finally, she had time for him. They could finally spend some quality time together.
Eric’s gaze deepened as he tightened his hold on Kate’s waist, his warm breath tickling her ear. He then asked in a low voice, “So, how shall we spend today?”
