Chapter 117 She’s No Match for the Young Girls
“Ms. Hoven?” Elias raised a brow, thinking Emelle wanted a lawyer.
He assumed it was to sur William for obstructing her from working. He chuckled at the thought.
“What’s the big deal? Married couples argue all the time. It’s part of life. Just go home, apologize to will, and make nice. Is it worth all this fuss?”
Emelie had no desire to hear about William now. After bidding Ashley farewell, she left directly
Ashley tuned away unconcerned.
Elias grabbed Ashley’s hand, smirking. “Your husband’s here, and you don’t even say hello?”
Ashley hesitated at the mention of her husband, then said, “I have work to do, and a client is waiting.”
Elias let go of her hand and flippantly replied, “Fine. We’ll talk later when you’re free.”
After Ashleytinished meeting the client, she found Elias leaning against the desk. He was shamelessly flirting with the blushing receptionists.
Ashleycalled flatly, “Elias, come in.”
Elias glanced over. “Oh, sure, Aunt Ash.” Then, he followed her inside.
The receptionists exchanged surprised looks, whispering to each other, “Is he Ms. Thomton’s nephew?”
Unbeknownst to them, once inside, the so–called nephew pinned Ashley against the door, lassing her roughly.
He was never gentle
Ashley pushed him away, uncomfortable. “You messed up my makeup.”
Elias pressed close. “Did I?I’ve saved you the trouble of applying lipstick”
He was skilled and a veteran of seduction. His hands soon had Ashley melting.
But as she pondered how he acquired these skills, Ashley pursed her lips and insisted they stop.
Ellas disliked the coy, hard–to–get act. Once she resisted, he lost interest.
He clicked his tongue, released her, and plopped onto the couch, taking hercup to drink some water
Ashley adjusted her clothes and steadied her breath. Then, she asked calmly, “You came to the law firm to see me. What’s the matter?
Elias sat sprawled, legs apart, exuding male aggression. “Why didn’t you try on the wedding dress? My mom called asking if you were unsatisfied about something. She told me to attend to you properly.”
He savored the word “attend.”
“Ash, haven’t I attended to you enough? Whenever you want it, I agree, no matter how tired I am, What else do you want? –
Ashley’s expression didn’t change as she took the cup to the sinkto wash it clean.
Ellas looked at her coldly. “Haven’t you had enough of me?
Ashley ignored his last two remarks. She said flatly, “Nothing to be dissatisfied about. I’ve had my measurements taken, so the dress size will be correct.
“As for other matters, I’ve talked to the designer online, and everything’s fine.
Besides, Magic Moments Studio is a renowned bridal brand. Everything is trustworthy,
“There’s no need to waste time trying on dress after dress. I’m busy,”
Ellas sneered. “I can tell you’re busy.”
After Ashley put the cup into the sterilizer, she dried her hands with a paper towel and looked at him.
“So don’t come to the law firm unnecessarily when you have nothing important.”
Elas hated it when she acted like this. Despite being only five years older than him, Ashley acted so mature.
He smiled. “Got it, Ash. I’ll get going then.”
Ashley nodded curtly. “Close the door behind you.”
As Ellas reached the door, he turned with a smile.
“Ash, no matter how busy you are with work, take care of yourself. Get enough sleep, and avoid too much screen time.
“You could use some beauty treatments, too. If the age gap is too obvious when we stand together on our wedding day, we’ll be laughed at.
Ashley’s face was expressionless as Elias left and closed the door.
Ashley’s profile was reflected in the glass window. That reflection was underably beautiful…
