Camila smiled, continuing her task in the kitchen while her face beamed with joy. “Making pasta is no trouble at all. It’ll be ready in a moment. Why don’t you wait at the dining table?”
Connor held her tighter, resting his chin gently on top of her head. “I just want to hold you like this. It feels like bliss.”
Setting down the tongs, Camila turned around and wrapped her arms around his waist. She looked up at him, her eyes clear, a sweet smile on her lips.
Connor gazed at her smiling face and gently lowered his head to kiss her forehead. His lips slowly moved down to her nose, and finally, his gaze fixed on her soft, pink lips. He gently closed his eyes and kissed her, his movements tender.
Camila closed her eyes, tilting her head back to meet his kiss.
Connor’s lips curled into a smile, his gentle kiss turning passionate. It was only when Camila felt a strain in her neck and stepped back that Connor stopped, planting a soft kiss on the corner of her mouth before slowly letting her go.
He took in her flushed lips and her slightly breathless appearance, finding her incredibly beautiful.
“I love you,” he said, his voice deep and husky.
The sound of boiling water had been audible for a while.
Camila lowered her head, shyly avoiding his desirous gaze, her cheeks tinting with a blush as she murmured an acknowledgment.
Gently pushing him away, she turned and said softly, “The pasta’s going to burn.”
She carefully lifted the pasta from the pot and placed them into a bowl.
Connor, with a smile still playing on his lips, wrapped his arms around her waist again.
“Stop it,” Camila chided lightly.
That gentle reproach sent a thrill through Connor. He reached out and tenderly pinched her cheek.
“The pasta is ready. Let’s eat,” Camila said as she wriggled out of his embrace.
Laughing, Connor let her go, finding her slightly annoyed expression particularly endearing.
He picked up the bowl and headed to the dining table, with Camila following him out of the kitchen.
“Eat up. I’ll go sort out the clothes,” she said and then pulled her suitcase back to the bedroom to organize her wardrobe.
Connor responded and watched her leave with a sense of longing.
When Camila returned from the
bedroom with her luggage unpacked, Connor was already halfway through his bowl of pasta, his gaze following her every move, a soft smile on his face.
“Is it good?” she asked.
Connor nodded, saying, “It’s delicious.” Ads by PubFuture

Camila frowned slightly, looking at the limp pasta in the bowl,
twinge of guilt. She knew
couldn’t possibly be delet

“Let me try.”
Connor picked up some noodles, blew on them, and carefully tucked her hair behind her ear before bringing the noodles to her mouth.
Camila chewed thoughtfully, her brow furrowing. The pasta was as she expected, limp and quite bland.
Suddenly, she exclaimed, “Ah! I forgot to add salt!”
Frowning, she blamed him, “It’s all because of you distracting me.” Ads by PubFuture

“Salt? I think it tastes great as is!” Connor paused, genuinely finding them palatable.
Camila looked at him, puzzled and concerned. “You haven’t lost your sense of taste, have you?”
Connor opened the jar of hot sauce
that was on the table, added some
to his bowl, and tried it again,
shaking his head. “Nope, this is spicy.”
