A flicker of surprise passed through Connor’s eyes.
“I was just about to confess to you…” Camila said with an embarrassed smile.
The look of astonishment on Connor’s face was unmistakable, and he was so excited he could barely speak. His mouth slightly open, he finally managed to blurt out, “When? Why didn’t you do it?” His eyes were filled with anticipation.
Camila pursed her lips, somewhat helplessly. “I was going to confess to you on your birthday, but you were drunk.”
Connor’s eyes widened, and he slapped his forehead regretfully. “Why did I do that! It’s all because Logan set up that round of shots!”
“And another time…” Camila’s eyes fell, and she hesitated to continue.
Feeling the shift in her mood, Connor watched her anxiously.
Camila looked up at him, her eyes sad as she sniffed. “It was the day you showed up at Haylie’s party.”
Connor froze, and it was a long while before he spoke. “Were you upset that day because I was at her party?” Camila nodded, then shook her head. “It was because of that necklace she was wearing,” her voice muffled. Connor slapped his forehead, “I only found out later that you liked that necklace too…”
Camila frowned, annoyed. “It’s not about whether I like the necklace! It’s what the necklace signifies! ‘The only one’!”
Connor’s pupils dilated, as if struck by lightning. He held his head in his hands, shaking it innocently as he hurriedly explained. “I just wanted to give her an engagement gift, Logan picked out the necklace! I just paid for it!”
Suddenly, Connor jumped up. “Damn it!” He paced back and forth, agitated.
Remembering everything that had happened with Camila later, he wished he could chop Logan up to vent his frustration.
He suppressed the anger in his heart, took a deep breath, and gently held Camila’s shoulders, “Let me take you home first.”
“Are you going to see Mr. Logan?” Camila asked, her brows slightly furrowed.
“Yeah…” Connor nodded.
“Could you not go?” Camila said worriedly.
“I’ll be careful.” Knowing Connor’s temper, Camila sighed, “Just give him a piece of your mind.”
“I know.” Connor took Camila’s hand
and they slowly walked out of the amusement park, and he drove her home. Then, he floored the accelerator and drove to where Logan was.
Camila felt uneasy. She was worried that Connor might act impulsively and Logan would suffer, and immediately called Erica and told her about the necklace incident.
Erica clenched her teeth and said, “He deserves it!”
After hanging up, she opened an app on her phone and placed an order.

Bang-
The door was pushed open forcefully, the loud noise instantly breaking the room’s clamor.
Everyone looked in astonishment toward the door, curious to see who dared to make such a scene during their party.
Connor stood at the doorway, his
presence dominating, his sharp gaze quickly scanning the room for
Logan, his expression ominously dark.
Recognizing Connor, everyone immediately put on a smile and greeted him.
“Mr. Connor! What brings you here?”

Ignoring their cordiality, Connor spoke coldly, “Where’s Logan?” A murderous aura radiated from him.
Intimidated by Connor’s demeanor, everyone immediately pointed towards the restroom.
