Chapter 169 Encounter In The Restroom
The waiter hastily apologized, “I’m sorry, miss! Are you hurt?”
When Lysander came to her senses, she realized that she had been shielded behind Zachary
The ground was littered with shards of shattered glass, and scalding soup was splattered in all directions.
The worst off was his
Zachary was clad in a beige polo shirt, speckled all over with brown spots from the soup. The grey sweatpants. One of the legs was nearly completely soaked through.
Moreover, from the steam wafting out, it was clear the soup was still piping hot.
Seeing the situation, Lysander didn’t waste any words. She immediately grabbed Zachary’s hand and took off running.
She heard the waiter call out from behind, “Sir, miss, do you need a towel?”

“Where’s the restroom?” Lysander asked.

The waiter’s face had turned pale, clearly frightened. “Just go straight, turn right, and walk until the end.”
Lysander tugged Zachary along, taking a couple more steps before she heard his strained voice saying, “Lysander, slow down…”
Lysander could hear the slight tremble in his voice. She crouched down, cautiously rolling up his pant leg a little.
Even though her actions were gentle enough, she could still feel the instant tension in his calf muscles.
“The material of your sweatpants is cotton, which can easily stick to the skin and cause secondary burns. It’s necessary to immediately rinse with cold water.”
Zachary gave a nod, gritting his teeth. “All right, I’ll go myself. It’s not appropriate for a girl like you to enter
the men’s restroom…”
Lysander furrowed her brows. “Is this really the time to worry about that? Can you even walk?”
“I’m fine.”
“Come on, I’ll support you. Let’s hurry up.”
“But…”
“That’s enough. I’m the doctor here, so listen to me.”
When they reached the entrance of the men’s restroom, Zachary was a bit uneasy. He wanted to say something, but Lysander had already quickly moved to the sink, turning the faucet on full blast. Then, she knelt down to help him roll up his pants.
Zachary hurried to support her. “Lysander, don’t…”
“It’s fine. It’s quicker if I help you.”
Zachary was already wincing in pain, gasping for air. Any movement that involved bending over would pull at the skin on his calf, causing another wave of searing pain to course through him.
“Your pants aren’t really cooperating,” Lysander commented with furrowed brows.
His sweatpants, which were not too loose to begin with, clung to his skin after being soaked in soup, making it

difficult to roll them up.
Zachary had also noticed it. He was desperately holding back, but when Lysander added more force to pull the pants leg up, he couldn’t help but gasp. “Ah!”
“Did I hurt you?”
“It’s okay, you… you may continue.”
“Your pants are too tight. I can only tear them.”
“Okay.”
However, this wasn’t a hospital, and Lysander had forgotten to ask the waiter for a pair of scissors earlier.
Beneath Zachary’s rolled–up pants, his skin had already reddened, swelled, and wrinkled. Moreover, it continued to spread at a pace visible to the naked eye.
Lysander couldn’t afford to care that much anymore. She bit down hard to create a tear, then with each hand gripping a side, she ripped his pants apart with all her strength.
With a tearing sound, she tore open his sweatpants to right above the knee.
Zachary’s leg was immobile, and the faucet Lysander had turned on earlier had already filled the entire sink. The icy water was spilling out from within.
Lysander gently adjusted his position, allowing the icy water to wash over his entire leg that had been scalded.
Just moments ago it was scorching hot, but now it had instantly turned bone–chillingly cold. Zachary took another sharp intake of breath, gritting his teeth as he endured it.
Lysander was also quite drained as she comforted, “Just hang in there a bit longer.”
With difficulty, Zachary nodded, letting out a grunt in acknowledgment.
Just then, Aiden’s voice suddenly came from outside. He sounded a bit flustered and somewhat guilty. “Josiah, are you here for the restroom?”
Josiah shot him a suspicious look. “What are you doing lurking around here?”
“Ah, no, I…”
“Move aside.”
“Stop! No!” Aiden blocked his path. “You can’t go in there right now.”
Josiah’s voice carried a hint of impatience as he snapped, “Why can’t I go in?”
“If you need to use the restroom, I can ask the waiter to take you to the one on here… it’s out of order.”
Josiah gave a cold huff. “What’s really inside that’s got you this worked up?”
“Um, L..
Josiah glared at him before sidestepping him and swiftly walking in.
