Chapter 123 You Should Put A Radar On Josiah
“Lady, what’s the point of playing dumb at this point?” Helen shot her a disapproving look, her tone turning harsh as she chastised Priscilla, “Others your age are astute and shrewd. Unlike that, you almost lost your unborn child while planning a wedding.”
While being reprimanded, Priscilla hung her head low. “Mom, it was an accident..
“Accident? You were clearly not careful… Never mind. I don’t want to scold you in public anymore. Just lie down and rest.”
Priscilla was inherently a well–behaved person. Her verbal skills were far inferior to her mother–in–law’s, leaving her unable to retort. All she could do was keep her head down.
Feeling a pang of sympathy for her, Lysander turned and instructed, “Lynn, go check Priscilla’s blood
pressure.”
“Okay”
Lynn, holding a blood pressure monitor, approached Priscilla’s bedside. As she wrapped the cuff around Priscilla’s arm, she gently reassured her, “If you feel any discomfort at any point, let me know, and 11 relay it to Dr. Thorne.”
Priscilla lifted her gaze, biting her lip. “Okay.”
“Your blood pressure is ninety over one hundred and forty, which is on the high side. You need to be careful these days and try not to get too worked up.”
As they were speaking, the door to the ward was pushed open again.
“Mrs. Molsey…”
Helen immediately looked up in delight. “Oh my, if it isn’t Ms. Thorne. It’s been so long since we last met. You’re becoming more and more beautiful.”
Harry was following closely behind, his hands filled with all sorts of packages. He said with a cheerful grin, “Mom, she’s Mrs. Guerra now.”
“Right, right, Mrs. Guerra. Look at that belly… the baby is coming soon, isn’t it?”
“There’s still some time left.”
“Judging by the shape of this belly, I’m sure it’s a boy!”
Lysanne shyly chuckled. “I hope so.”
“Trust me. All these years, I’ve never been wrong about this. With your pointy belly, you’re definitely carrying a boy! Oh my, this child is going to be the apple of everyone’s eye as the scion of the Guerra family and the future heir of Guerra Group!”
A proud expression emerged across Lysanne’s face. “Who knows what kind of potential this child will have once they’re born, or if they’ll be suitable to run the company…”
Helen said with a joyful expression, “You and Mr. Guerra are both the cream of the crop. How could child be anything less?”
your
Lynn couldn’t bear to listen any longer, she sarcastically remarked, “That only works if you inherit the good genes. What if you end up with the bad ones? That’s no guarantee…”

Lysanne’s expression changed in an instant. Just as he was about to say something, she caught a glimpse of Lysander standing by the side from the corner of her eye. The smile on her face vanished immediately. replaced by a sneer. “Oh, Dr. Thorne is here too.”
Lysander politely nodded. “Mmm–hmm, I was just making the rounds.”
“I was puzzled when I ran into you at the supermarket yesterday. Daphne’s place is quite far from this supermarket, isn’t it? I wonder why you didn’t go to a closer one?”
“Why? Am I not allowed to go there?”
In the presence of Harry and Helen, Lysanne was somewhat embarrassed. “It’s not that, Dr. Thorne, but I can’t help noticing your strange behavior. It’s as if… wherever Josiah goes, we will find you there”
Lysander looked up and retorted, “Did Mr. Guerra also go to the supermarket yesterday?”
“He didn’t go to the supermarket, but he was around the area.”
“Maybe you should consider fitting Mr. Guerra with a radar in the future. Have it constantly scan a three- kilometer radius around him. If it picks up my presence, it should immediately sound an alarm.”
The tension between the two was palpable. The insinuation in Lysanne’s words was clear to anyone present; only a fool wouldn’t understand it.
Even Priscilla, who read between the lines, jumped in to explain on Lysander’s behalf. “Mrs. Guerra, please. don’t misunderstand. The day Lysander attended the wedding, it was indeed at my father’s invitation. Lysander is very busy with her work and initially declined. She only agreed out of respect for my father. She also attended due to concerns about potential dangers at a crowded wedding. As a gynecologist, she could lend a hand if anything happened to me. It really has nothing to do with Mr. Guerra…”
“Ms. Ziegler,” Lysanne said coldly. “There’s a lot you don’t know, so please refrain from interrupting unnecessarily.”
