Chapter 96 Scar
The nurse recognized her. “Dr. Thorne? Are you a relative of the patient?”
“Yes, the patient is my mother-in-law.”
Lysander signed the papers and handed the disclosure form back to her. “Thank you; the older adult has been suffering from headaches for about a month. She suddenly had a stroke for the first time today. When I arrived, her blood pressure was 50/90, and by the time we reached the hospital, it was 70/110, with oxygen levels at 86%. We administered oxygen for 45 minutes on the way here.”
The nurse nodded immediately. “Alright, Dr. Leslie needs this information. I’ll go tell her right away.”
“Thank you.”
The nurse turned and hurried back into the resuscitation room, and the door closed once again.
Eleanor apologized with a dry laugh. “Mrs. Guerra, it’s really thanks to you.”
She glanced in the direction of Josiah, then sighed. “Mr. Guerra…sigh.”

Lysander said, “Eleanor, I’ll go deal with the wound first. You rest here; I’ll be back soon.”

Eleanor then noticed her calf and suddenly exclaimed, “Oh my god, how did it get like this?”
The white gauze was already mostly stained red with blood.
Actually, it wasn’t surprising.
Her wound had only been bandaged for a few days, hadn’t healed properly at all, and she had c stairs and fallen today, all while pushing a stretcher. It wasn’t surprising at all that the wound ha turned out like this.
“It’s alright, I’ll just go to the surgical department for another dressing.”
“Let me go with you.”
“I’ll go by myself; stay here with Mom. In case the nurses inside need anything, there’s not even a family member outside.”
“There’s Mr. Guerra.” Eleanor stopped talking as soon as she finished.
Mr. Guerra.
It won’t make a difference if he is here or not.
Lysander could see that Eleanor had something to say but stopped herself. She said gently, “I’ll go first, and be back soon.”
Eleanor was extremely apologetic. “Alright.”
The surgical department was on the first floor.

That meant, whether she took the elevator or the stairs, she had to pass by the stairwell.
As she passed by Josiah and Lysanne, there was already a crowd around them, pointing and gossiping.
She could vaguely hear a few keywords.
“Scumbag.” “abandoning wife and child,” “the mistress is a doctor at this hospital,” “lacking medical ethics.
More prominent were Lysanne’s crics and Josiah’s suppressed roar.
“Excuse me,” she said.
Passersby made way for her.
She arrived at the elevator and pressed the down button.
Up the elevator, down the stairs.
In one go.
Fortunately, just as some onlookers blocked Lysanne and Josiah’s view, they didn’t see her. Otherwise, it would have been another endless farce.
Lysander sighed wearily.
After reaching the first floor, she stepped out and happened to run into Lynn.
Lynn was first amazed, then surprised. “Dr. Thorne, you look so beautiful today. By the you going to draw blood? Why are you back at the hospital?”

“It’s a long story. Lynn, come help me.”
Lynn noticed the wound on her leg and quickly supported her. “How did it get like this? Did you get into a fight while drawing blood?”
“Just take me to the surgical department first; it’s killing me.”
In the dressing room of the surgical department.
Dr. Foreman, from the surgical department, carefully unwrapped the bandage on her leg, looking at the blurry wound underneath. He furrowed her brow “Lysander, I don’t even know what to say to you. You really don’t take care of yourself.”
Dr. Foreman was getting older, and his grip was strong. As he swiftly tore off the bandage, Lysander gasped in pain. “It’s just encountered an emergency; didn’t have time to think about it.”
“Even in emergencies, you can’t do this. Look at how bad it is; you might end up with a scar.”
