Chapter 125
After successfully transferring Alexia to the new hospital, Michael found himself standing by her bedside, his eyes filled with hope. He wanted to closely monitor her progress and engage in a conversation with Dr. Reynolds, the trusted personal doctor they had chosen to oversee her care.
Approaching Dr. Reynolds, who was studying Alexia’s medical chart, Michael spoke in a gentle tone.
“Dr. Reynolds, how is she doing? Any changes?”
Dr. Reynolds looked up, recognizing Michael’s presence, and offered a reassuring smile.
“Michael, good to see you. Since we transferred her here, Alexia’s condition has been stabilized. She’s responding well to the treatment, and we’re closely monitoring her vitals. Doctor Reynolds said with such positive reassurance.
A sense of relief washed over Michael, his tense shoulders easing at the doctor’s words. He was glad that she was getting better. He trusted doctor Reynolds to get her back in her feet as soon as possible. He was getting his whole life on the doctor’s efficiency.
“That’s a relief to hear, Doctor. Thank you for taking such good care of her. I truly appreciate it, Michael expressed, gratitude evident in his voice.
Dr. Reynolds acknowledged Michael’s gratitude, understanding the weight of the situation. He was aware of what the twins were going through with their Luna in this state. It wouldn’t have been easy for them and so he put in all his best to see that they got back to normal
“It’s
my duty, Michael. Alexia is in good hands here. We’re doing everything we can to help her recover. The change in environment and the specialized care we can provide at this hospital are definitely working in her favor,” Dr. Reynolds. explained with a reassuring tone.
Nodding in appreciation, Michael turned his gaze towards Alexia, her form lying still in the hospital bed, connected to various monitoring devices.
“She’s a fighter, Dr. Reynolds. I’ve seen her overcome challenges before. I believe she’ll get through this. I hope the cure will soon be administered,” Michael softly shared, his unwavering faith evident.
Dr. Reynolds recognized the importance of mindset in the healing process and emphasized its significance.
“Yes, Michael. Very soon, but we need to make sure that her vitals are stable first, before administering her the cure, as it could be dangerous if we just inject it into her system carelessly. And that belief is crucial, Michael. The mind and b*dy are intertwined, and a positive mindset can have a significant impact on the healing process. Keep supporting her, keep believing in her. It makes a difference, Dr. Reynolds advised, his words carrying encouragement.
Michael’s eyes remained focused on Alexia’s face, his unwavering faith shining through.
“I will, Doctor. I won’t leave her side. Our pack is rallying around her, and we’ll provide the support she needs. We won’t give up on her,” Michael vowed, determination resonating in his voice.
Dr. Reynolds placed a comforting hand on Michael’s shoulder, offering support and reassurance.
“That’s what she needs, Michael. A strong support system can work wonders. Your presence and unwavering faith will undoubtedly aid in her recovery,” Dr. Reynolds affirmed, their shared understanding palpable.
Michael nodded, a renewed sense of determination shining in his eyes.
“Thank you, Doctor. We’ll continue to trust your expertise and guidance. We’re in this together, fighting for Alexia’s life,” Michael expressed with gratitude.
Dr. Reynolds smiled warmly, appreciating the unity and determination of the pack.
“Alright, Michael. I have to go tend to other patients now. I’ll see you around. Doctor Reynolds said, a warm smile growing on his l*ps.
Jenna, wearing a smile on her face as she basked in the news of Alexia’s improving condition, heard an unexpected knock on her front door. Curiosity piqued, she pulled open the door, only to find herself face–to–face with Axiel. Instantly, her expression shifted from joy to apprehension. Her l*p form changed shape from an upward curve to a downward curve.
Jenna’s smile vanished, replaced by a burning anger that ignited within her. She clenched her fists, her b*dy tensing with a surge of aggression. Alpha Axiel’s presence in her home, his audacity to ask for another chance, fueled her fury.
Jenna instinctively moved to close the door, hoping to put some distance between herself and Alpha Axiel. However, he resisted, his strength prevailing as he managed to keep the door open. With a nonchalant demeanor, he strolled inside as if he belonged.
Alpha Axiel turned towards Jenna, his eyes conveying a mix of remorse and determination. He spoke with a plea in his voice. She glared daggers at him and finally succumbed as she couldn’t keep the door closed. She winced and growled at
him.
Jenna, can we talk? I’m sorry for how things went down between us. I know I made mistakes, but I’m here to ask for another chance.”
Jenna’s heart raced, torn between her lingering feelings for Alpha Axiel and the pain he had caused her in the past. She hesitated, contemplating whether she should entertain his request.
“No!” Jenna’s voice erupted, filled with raw anger. “You think a few words of apology can erase the pain you caused? You think you can waltz in here and expect forgiveness?”
Her words cut through the air like a sharp blade, her eyes locked onto Alpha Axiel’s, challenging him to meet her wrath
head–on.
“I will not be a pawn in your game of second chances, Jenna continued, her voice trembling with intensity. “You had your opportunity, and you shattered my trust. You hurt me, Alpha Axiel, and that cannot be undone.”
Alpha Axiel took a step back, realizing the depth of Jenna’s anger. He raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, his voice laced with remorse.
I… I didn’t mean to upset you further,” he stammered, his confidence waning. “I thought… I hoped we could find a way around us.” He said with pain filling his eyes.
Jenna scoffed, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Move forward? After everything? You think a simple conversation can erase the pain, the betrayal?”
Her anger surged, and she took a defiant step closer to Alpha Axiel, her eyes blazing with fury.
“I deserve better than this,” Jenna declared, her words ringing with resolve. “I deserve someone who values me, respects me, and would never cause me the pain you did. I won’t settle for less.”
Alpha Axiel’s expression wavered between regret and desperation, realizing the gravity of his actions. He reached out a hand, a last attempt to bridge the divide between them.
Jenna, please,” he pleaded, his voice filled with a mix of remorse and longing. “I know I messed up, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it right. Give me a chance to prove myself.”
Jenna’s anger softened slightly, giving way to a deep sadness. She looked into Alpha Axiel’s eyes, a flicker of vulnerability
breaking through her fierce facade.
“It’s too late.” she whispered, her voice laced with a mix of sorrow and finality. “The damage is done, and I can’t risk putting my heart in your hands again. It’s time for us to part ways”
With a resolute expressión, Jenna turned away from Alpha Axiel, refusing to entertain his pleas any longer. She walked towards the door, her steps filled with determination.
“It’s time for you to leave, she stated firmly, her voice carrying the weight of her decision.
In a normal situation, Axiel was expected to leave the house as she had commanded, but he didn’t. Instead, he did the craziest thing you could ever think of.
With a mixture of hesitation and yearning, he closed the distance between them, their l*ps meeting in a passionate yet tender k*ss.
