Chapter 21
Summer was still sleeping.
The alarm clock kept ringing. Summer turned it off and buried herself in the quilt.
But when Summer was about to fall asleep again, she suddenly thought of something and became awake.
Summer was not living alone now. She had to take care of Sanford.
Summer sat up with messy hair and glanced at the alarm clock.
If Fay knew that Summer woke up so early, she would probably scream. “It’s a miracle!”
After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Summer quickly prepared breakfast, fried eggs, toasted bread, and heated milk.
There was a slight noise in the dining room. When Summer was marveling at the fact that Sanford got up so early, she looked up and found that it was Alick.
Summer wondered, “It is almost eight o’clock. Why is he still at home?”
Summer didn’t serve Alick food. After making breakfast for Sanford, Summer went upstairs to wake Sanford up.
After breakfast, Alick said that he would come back at noon, and he asked Summer to prepare lunch in advance.
Summer was so angry, but she couldn’t do anything to Alick. Summer had no choice. but to ask Alick what he wanted to eat for lunch.
Sanford’s taste was totally different from Alick’s. After getting Alick’s answer, Summer thought that she had to surprise Alick at noon.
When Alick came back home at noon, he saw a table of oily and spi c y dishes. He stared straight at Summer, expressionless.
Holding a bowl, Summer asked, “Mr. Hill, don’t you eat?”
Meanwhile, Sanford was eating happily.
Alick said, “I don’t eat s p i c y food.”
Summer thought the food was spi c y too. Because of the s p ic i n e s s, Summer’s nose and

lips were a little red and swollen, and tears kept coming out of her eyes.
Hearing Alick’s words, Summer smiled c u n i ng l y and said, “Sorry. I forgot that.”
Alick could tell that Summer was lying, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he went to the kitchen and got a bowl of water. Alick chose to wash every dish before eating.
From time to time, Summer wiped Sanford’s mouth to avoid Sanford’s clothes being stained.
“Sanford, is it delicious?” Summer asked.
Sanford nodded.
Summer glanced at Alick and asked Sanford deliberately, “Do you prefer the food cooked by me, or do you prefer the food made by your father?”
Sanford pointed at Summer with his finger.
But Alick said, “I don’t know how to cook, so it’s useless to compare with me.” Alick wiped his mouth elegantly with a napkin.
After lunch, Alick went to the company. Summer chose to spend time with Sanford.
When Summer saw that Sanford took out a new box of racing car models, she couldn’t help asking, “Sanford, don’t you want to go out to play?”
Sanford was not interested in playing outside. He just lowered his head and read the instruction. After a long time, Sanford shook his head to answer Summer’s question.
“Is it because Alick doesn’t have time to take you out and play?”
Sanford nodded and then shook his head.
Summer frowned. Usually, as long as Summer had time, she would take Ballard and Abby out to play, and they wouldn’t come back until night.
Summer thought Sanford was at the age when boys were the most lively and naughty. She thought Sanford shouldn’t stay at home every day.
After thinking so, Summer asked, “Sanford, shall we go to the zoo tomorrow?”
“I’m not interested,” Sanford replied.
Summer asked again, “Then where do you want to go? Zoo? Science and technology museum?”

Chapter 21
Receiving no reply from Sanford, Sumner felt a little worried. She thought for a while and said, “Sanford, I want to go to the zoo. Can you go with me?”
Sanford tilted his head and hesitated for a while. Then, he said, “OK.”
Summer sighed. She thought it was really difficult to guess what was in Sanford’s head.
But now, there was a more important thing. Summer wondered, “Will Alick let me take Sanford out to play?”
At dinner time. Summer took the initiative to raise the topic at the table.
To Summer’s surprise, Alick agreed without hesitation.
After Sanford left the dining room, Summer couldn’t help asking Alick, “Aren’t you afraid that I will run away with Sanford?”
Alick said calmly, “You can try it.”
Summer smiled and thought, “I knew it!”
Tonight, Summer suffered from insomnia. She tossed and turned in bed until early in the morning.
While Summer was sleeping, she suddenly felt that someone was pulling her quilt.
“Stop it.”
That person was still pulling Summer’s quilt. Summer sat up in a daze and found that Sanford was standing by the bed, holding the quilt and looking at her.
Summer yelled in her heart, “I got up Jate!”
Summer touched Sanford’s head to comfort him. After washing up, Summer quickly made breakfast and changed into sportswear.
“Let’s go!”
Summer packed up the sandwiches. Then, she took Sanford’s hand and walked out happily.
Abby hid behind a pillar and stared at Summer and Sanford’s backs. When Abby was about to follow them quietly, someone patted her on the shoulder.
As soon as Abby turned around, she met the aggressive sight of Ballard. Somehow, Abby was a little nervous.

Chapter 21
“Abby, didn’t I tell you to wait for me?” Holding an ice cream, Ballard said angrily, “Why did you run away?”
After buying the ice cream, Ballard found that Abby was missing, and he was burning. with anxiety and worry. After looking around, Ballard directly hacked into the surveillance system of the zoo. Only then did Ballard find that Abby had followed Alick
away.
At that time, Ballard was angry and worried.
He said to Abby, “Do you know what will happen to you if that man knows who you arc?”
Ballard watched the surveillance video of the Hill family every day. Ballard knew about Alick, and he also knew how bad Alick’s attitude towards Summer was.
Just because of it, Ballard had no good impression of Alick, who was his so-called father.
“I’m sorry.” Abby lowered her head and twisted the corner of her clothes. Tears welled up in her eyes. She said in a low voice, “Don’t be angry, Ballard.”
Seeing this, Ballard yelled helplessly in his heart, “She is doing this again!”
Whenever Abby cried, Ballard would feel helpless and choose to surrender even if he was furious.
However, the most important thing right now was not to teach Abby a lesson. Ballard had to find a way to send Alick away from Summer in order to create an opportunity for the four of them to meet each other.
Thinking of this, the anger in Ballard’s heart dissipated, and his tone softened a lot.
Ballard said to Abby, “Don’t do that again. Here you are.” Ballard handed the ice cream. to Abby.
Abby smiled and took the ice cream.
Thank you,
Ballard!”
A few days ago, several panda pups were born in the zoo, and many tourists specially came here to see them. Looking at the crowd in the zoo, Alick couldn’t help frowning.
“Mr. Hill, should I…”
Before Bill could finish his words, Alick cast a sharp glance at him.

Chapter 21
Alick said, “No need.”
Alick didn’t like crowded places. Every time he went to that kind of place, his ment would evacuate the crowd in advance. But it was a temporary decision for Alick to come here today so that Alick’s men didn’t have time to evacuate the crowd in advance.
Bill realized that he had said something wrong, so he immediately shut up.
However, Bill didn’t expect that he would be stopped by Alick before finishing his words.
Alick said to Sanford, “Sanford, let’s go there, OK?”
Alick’s eyes fell on the least crowded exhibition hall. However, Alick received not
response.
Sanford put on a cold face and didn’t want to talk to Alick at all. Summer was standing next to Alick, worried about Ballard and Abby. Thus, Summer didn’t hear Alick at all.
Alick snorted in his heart, “How dare this woman ignore me?”
“Summer.”
Alick frowned and called Summer’s name. But Summer still didn’t respond.
“Ms. White, Mr. Hill is talking to you.”
“What? I’m sorry.”
