After much deliberation, she bid farewell to their rescuers and descended the mountain with her children. But when she tried to get her children registered, she accidentally discovered she was still ally married. Confused, she remembered clearly signing the divorce papers! Unable to comprehend the situation, she faced a new problem. As a married woman, Tarquin’s name would automatically appear as the father on her children’s register of birth. The Bradfords were a prominent family, and Tarquin Bradford, having no fondness for her, would surely not welcome the role of father.
