Chapter 907 Special Edition: Wedding Photoshoot

The hotel room Emelie and William had reserved boasted a private natural hot spring pool.

Emelie was hesitant to use it because of her pregnancy. Although the attending doctor had reassured her that soaking in hot springs was safe for expectant mothers, she preferred to err on the side of caution.

As such, she sat by the pool’s edge and dipped her feet into the warm water where a small table nearby was filled with snacks, fresh fruits, and drinks.

William, on the other hand, was enjoying a soak in the pool itself.

Emelie was replying to messages from friends and family as well as handling some work matters on her phone.

In fact, there was little to manage. Her newly appointed deputy general manager was highly competent and had taken care of everything.

She knew that Emelie and William were on vacation and didn’t want to be disturbed, so she handled everything herself. Emelie didn’t have to worry and just needed to review the completed tasks.

Emelie felt pleased and decided to buy a few souvenirs for Ashton, such as a set of black tea and tea accessories. Thalassa was known for its black tea.

After she finished her chat with Ashton, she began venting to Mona about William’s social media antics when William suddenly swam over from the pool and grabbed her calf.

Emelie was startled and exclaimed, “Don’t pull me in without warning.”

William wouldn’t scare her like that, of course. He chuckled and said, “You shouldn’t soak your feet for too long because your skin will wrinkle. Let’s get out.”

“Alright,” she said.

However, just as Emelie was about to get up, William held her ankle firmly. “The pebbles by the pool are slippery. Stay still. I’ll carry you.”

“I can be careful on my own,” Emelie replied.

“Better safe than sorry,” William said as he got out of the pool first.

He was wearing tight swimming trunks. His legs, usually concealed by suit pants, were strong and well-defined.

Emelie averted her gaze, feeling a bit bashful despite the fact that they were married.

William returned to the room and emerged again after a short while, now dressed in casual cotton pants and holding a wool blanket adorned with intricate patterns. He draped the blanket over Emelie’s shoulders.

Thalassa was also known for its blankets. It would be a good idea to buy a few as gifts.

William gently carried Emelie into the room, placed her on the tatami mat, and dried her feet with a towel. Then, Emelie changed into pajamas and lay down on the bed.

William came over with some essential oils and sat beside Emelie. He mixed the oils and lifted her shirt apply the oil to her belly with a small brush.

Emelie just lay still and asked, “What’s this?”

“It’s an essential I developed by a lab in Glastony specifically for you,” William explained as he warmed his hands and gently massaged her belly.

He continued, “It was delivered on the earliest flight as soon as it was ready. I’ll apply it every morning and evening from now on. It helps reduce stretch marks and tighten the skin.”

Emelie was surprised. Even she herself hadn’t thought that far ahead.

William murmured, “You might not be concerned, but I don’t want you to sacrifice anything because of this pregnancy.”

He couldn’t bear to see her suffer and lose anything else. He was determined to take utmost care of her throughout her pregnancy, sparing no expense or effort to make her as comfortable as possible.

Emelie smiled and beckoned William closer. As he leaned down, she touched his forehead. “Did you get a new brain during your surgery? You’re so considerate now.”

She knew that he had changed significantly, but she was still amazed by how much.

William replied calmly, “since I’m now supported by my wife and don’t have anything else to do, I can devote all my time and energy to loving you. How could I not be attentive with so much dedication?”

Emelie enjoyed William’s care. It was just that each time he applied the essential oil to her belly, she couldn’t help but laugh.

“It feels like you’re baking bread,” she said.

William was amused and leaned in to kiss her. The specially formulated oil was harmless to both the mother and the baby, so even if it was accidentally ingested, it was fine.

As William finished applying the oil, his hands naturally traveled upward, finding their way with ease.

Emelie let out a soft hum. She tilted her chin, feeling like she was in a daze.

William said seriously, “One of the oils is for massaging the breasts. It needs to be applied in circular motions and thoroughly kneaded to be absorbed.”

Emelie could only respond with a stunned look. The result was that after William’s “massage”, she had to change her underwear.

William managed to keep himself in check by taking a shower.

When he emerged from the bathroom, Emelie was still on the bed, looking at her phone. As the warm light by the bedside shone on Emelie’s face, William swallowed. An idea formed in his mind.

Not only did he want a honeymoon, but he also wanted to take the wedding photos they hadn’t had the chance to take last year.

This idea wasn’t new. He had been planning it for some time but hadn’t discussed it with Emelie. Now, he was entirely consumed by details, with each action meticulously planned.

He walked over to her and kissed her. While she was still dazed, he showed her the itinerary for the upcoming days on his tablet t included text and pictures, some featuring stunning wedding photos taken at various scenic spots.

Emelie’s gaze instinctively lingered on these images, prompting William to casually mention, “This is Goldenleaf. After we’ve thoroughly enjoyed Ashenfort, we’ll go there.”

“Oh, okay. Let’s go in a couple of days then,” Emelie said.

William explained, “Goldenleaf is incredibly clean and, because of the lights, the place appears a beautiful blue to the naked eye, just like in the pictures. It looks like a sacred sky, with the travertine terraces forming clouds shaped like cotton. It will make for a dreamlike, fairy-tale photo shoot, angel.”

“Indeed,” Emelie simply replied.

William continued, “It’s very close to the Mossley ruins, where we can also take some photos in the style of ancient Aramore. Ancient Aramore and Grielor costumes are quite similar.

“I remember that last year’s spring and summer show had an ancient Grielor theme. There are some haute couture outfits that would look great on you.”

“You know about this too, huh?” Emelie asked.

William had no intention of hiding his plan and said, “Since you seem to like the idea too, we’ll do the photoshoot the day after tomorrow. The makeup and styling team has already flown in from Faldoria and will arrive

tomorrow. We’re all set the day after.”

“Wait, what?” Emelie was surprised.

The next morning, when Emelie opened her door, she was greeted by a huge styling team. She was finally convinced that William was serious about what he said last night.

The stylists pulled out several exquisite haute couture dresses from a series of large suitcases.

Emelie was both exasperated and amused. She turned around and glared at the scheming man.

In truth, she wasn’t a fan of having her picture taken. She had very few photos of herself. Those that had been taken secretly didn’t count.

She had two photos for her marriage certificate and a work photo from five or six years ago when she started at

Cloudex.

The rest of her photos had been taken in university, when friends had dragged her into group shots. This was also why Emelie had never posted any photos on her social media.

However, William believed that since weddings were usually once-in-a-lifetime, Emelie should have the full experience. Hence, a honeymoon and wedding photoshoot were mandatory.

Since he had ample time, he meticulously selected everything-makeup, attire, theme, styling team, and photography locations. He wanted it to be perfect for Emelie.

Despite the unexpected twists of Emelie’s pregnancy and her newfound affection for Thalassa, everything was still

set to proceed as planned.

William gently encouraged, “Shall we do the photoshoot, angel?”

Given the Cedonian saying of “since we’re already here”, Emelie couldn’t really refuse with the whole team

assembled.

She could only grumble playfully, “You’d better not post these on social media.”

“I’m afraid that I will, angel,” William said with a smile.

“In that case, I must approve every photo before you post them. And no spamming with dozens of similar pictures,

“she countered.

William agreed with a reluctant nod, “Alright.”

If they were going to take photos, they needed to be perfect. So, Emelie discussed her vision with the makeup artist and photographer.

The next morning, while Emelie sat at the vanity, the makeup artist applied pregnancy-safe cosmetics on her.

Although she had agreed to the photoshoot, she still felt uneasy and nervous. So, she took out her frustration on

William, the culprit.

Since she couldn’t move around much, she extended her leg and stomped on William’s foot.

Instead of stepping away, William leaned in closer and extended his leg further to make it easier for her to stomp. Emelie, though irritated, couldn’t help but laugh.

Those who weren’t photographed often come across as stiff and unnatural, and Emelie was no exception. Her smiles looked forced, and the photos lacked authenticity.

The photographer said, “Ms. Pierce, Mr. Middleton, hold hands and embrace as if you’re waltzing. Lean in closer and lower your heads slightly. The bride should tilt your head up, as if you’re about to kiss the groom.

“Ms. Pierce, rest your arm on Mr. Middleton’s and lean against him. Yes, smile a bit more. Lower your head slightly and give a look of amused laughter.

“Ms. Pierce, lift up your skirt. Mr. Middleton, you walk ahead and glance back at her. Ms. Pierce, you should look at your groom rather than the camera, with eye contact and a soft gaze. Perfect.”

The photographer was feeling the strain as he guided them to pose. He had never encountered a challenge like this despite having shot numerous celebrities and even members of the royal family.

Even though the couple was attractive and clearly well-matched, their on-camera chemistry seemed to be lacking.

William found Emelie’s struggle in posing endearing. She was usually adept at everything. But today, she had finally met her match in this one area.

Her poor performance made her usual strong willed self even more embarrassed. William’s laughter only

intensified her glare.

Suddenly, William wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up.

Emelie gasped in surprise, “Hey!”

William tilted his body slightly backward, creating a graceful diagonal pose with Emelie. He looked up at her and

smiled, and the genuine warmth in his expression made her smile back. Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findηovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
