Terrence saw the bouquet by the side and sat down. “Mom and I saw the news. We only knew something had happened to you and my nephew when we asked around,” he explained. He then feigned confusion and asked, “Why didn’t you tell us that you had a son? Where did he go?”
Yvette had asked Tristan and Kiki to take Zachary back to the Shaw residence. It was safer for him to be with the Shaws for now.
Yvette said, “If I remember correctly, Madam Cadwell and I are no longer related.”
Terrence exclaimed, “What the hell are you talking about? Just because you said so doesn’t mean that we’re actually not related.”
He then took out a card and handed it to her. “This is from Mom. She wants you to get some supplements to take care of yourself.”
Yvette did not take the card. Over the years, she’d never believed that Yara would actually care for her. “There’s no need. I can afford them myself.”
Terrence had already figured that someone with such a strong self-esteem as her would refuse the money. He then kept the card.
“Who exactly was behind this? Also, what happened to your face?” he asked.
“Wouldn’t you know about it?” Yvette retorted.
“How would I know?” Terrence was confused, but then he quickly realized what she was implying. “You don’t actually think I’m the one who wanted to hurt you and my nephew, do you, Yvvy?” Yvette watched his expression change.
He started protesting indignantly, “How could it be me? You’re my biological sister. I would never harm you! We’re the only ones left in the Snyder family!”
Terrence was different from Yara-he wasn’t as good at putting up an act. Judging by his reaction, Yvette started to believe that he might actually be unaware.
“I only just found out that you and Xavier have a son!” Afraid that she might misunderstand, Terrence continued explaining, “I’m not stupid-I would’ve been thrilled to know that we share a bloodline with the Lanes. How could I possibly harm the child?” “I didn’t say it was you. Don’t get so worked up.” Yvette only spoke after hearing what he said. “I’m not sure who wanted to harm my child either.”
She realized that Terrence was right.

Yvette listed down the names of those who hated her-Daphne, Zoey, and some others from the Lane family.
