Xavier couldn’t help but hold Yvette even tighter. She struggled to break free. Her body grew increasingly warm, and she became anxious. “Xavier, let go!”
Xavier’s throat tightened. He was reluctant to release her. “Let’s sleep together tonight.”
His hot breath fell against her ear, making Yvette’s ears turn red. Xavier effortlessly lifted her and placed her on the bed.
“Don’t ” Yvette began. However, she was cut off by Noah’s urgent voice calling from the doorway.
“Mom! Mom!”
Xavier’s brows furrowed slightly.
Yvette tried to get up, but Xavier was like an immovable mountain. “Xavier, move,” Yvette whispered urgently.
Xavier ignored her. Instead, he looked toward the door. “Yvvy is asleep. Come back tomorrow.”
Noah stood frozen at the door, his knocks becoming more forceful. “You evil man, give me back my mom! Mom, Mom…” He couldn’t let his mother be bullied by his bastard father right under his nose.
Hearing Noah’s cries, Yvette couldn’t tell if he was truly upset or pretending, but she panicked and bit down on Xavier’s strong shoulder.
Xavier inhaled sharply from the pain. Still, he didn’t move. He even held her tighter. “Be good and listen to me. Stay with me tonight, and I’ll do whatever you say from now on.”
Yvette refused, biting down harder. Xavier let out a muffled groan.
Outside, Noah continued to shout, “You bad guy, I’ll call the police if you don’t give me back my mom!”
Yvette loosened her bite slightly when she tasted blood in her mouth. “Xavier, if you keep this up, I won’t ever speak to you again.”
In the past, Xavier would never have
been swayed by her threats. But now, the thought of Yvette disappearing for four or five years scared him. He eventually released his grip.

Yvette quickly escaped from his embrace and hurried out of the room, opening the door.
Noah’s eyes turned red the moment he saw Yvette. “Mom, are you okay?” he asked.
“Of course, I’m fine. I was just helping Mr. Xavier put on some clothes, that’s all,” Yvette reassured him, her face still flushed.
Noah breathed a sigh of relief. That bastard father had tried to trick him into thinking Yvette was asleep, but thankfully, he hadn’t given up. “Mom, look at the clothes you bought for me! Aren’t they cute?” Noah beamed, spinning around in his adorable dinosaur outfit.
“So cute! My Noah is the cutest. Let’s take a photo,” Yvette cooed.
“Okay!” Noah was a bit of a
narcissist. Although he looked just like Zachary, he was definitely the more handsome one and was more popular with girls. It was just a pity his illness kept him from going to school like other kids.
As Yvette was taking pictures of Noah, Xavier emerged from the room, fully dressed in the new clothes she’d bought him. Yvette accidentally captured him in the photo.
The image froze on the screen,
showing two figures-one big, one small-who looked strikingly alike. The clothes Yvette had bought were similarin color, almost like matching outfits, making them appeartike father and son.
But Yvette didn’t notice this. She saved the photo.
Noah, seeing his bastard father appear, showed clear disdain and shifted positions to continue his photo session with Yvette.
After taking a bunch of nice pictures, Noah was finally satisfied and went to bed with Yvette.
