She felt complicated after hearing what Viola said. After all, Viola hated him a lot not too long ago. Yvette didn’t understand why she would change her mind about him that quickly. She’d even said Yvette could stay with him.
Yvette looked at Xavier and the boys again and shook her head. There was no way she would walk the same path again.
When they cleared the branch and the excess snow, Xavier brought the children back to the house. Yvette immediately made a fire at the fireplace to warm them up. “Take a warm shower later and go to bed after that.”
The children nodded their heads. They’d only been giving Xavier instructions earlier, and they didn’t feel cold at all.
