Chapter 355
“Yvette?”
Shannon looked at Mandy, her mind racing with various speculations. Still, she didn’t think that Zachary could be Yvette’s son.
“Could Zac’s father be a relative of Yvette’s?” Shannon mused.
Mandy also found this plausible. “Recently, Ms. Snyder’s mother and brother have also returned to Tirion.”
Upon hearing that Yara had returned, Shannon visibly became glum. “Surely they aren’t trying to leech off our family again.”
Mandy informed Shannon that Yara had married a wealthy businessman overseas and was now financially well-off.
However, it only made Shannon despise Yara even more; she thought the latter was a useless woman who could only survive by relying on a man.
As the conversation shifted, Shannon forgot about Zachary. “By the way, how is Xav doing?”
“Mr. Lane hardly goes out; he stays home all the time,” Mandy replied, feeling a twinge of sympathy for the once-proud Xavier who had fallen so low.
Shannon sighed. “It’s on him for not listening to me. If he’d had a child earlier, I wouldn’t have had to send him to that remote place.”
She feared that Xavier might expose Jeremiah’s fake identity, which would leave no place for her in the Lane family.
“Tomorrow is the day before Christmas Eve, right? Any new plans for the company?” Shannon changed the topic.
Mandy handed Shannon the recent project proposals. “Madam Shannon, I noticed that a famous foreign composer, Ms. Cameron, recently released a new piece that’s trending.
“If Carnival Central Media could purchase this piece, it would significantly
boost our popularity. We could use it for a new artist’s show or for a singer.”

Due to the previous incident with Daphne, Carnival Central Media’s reputation had suffered considerably.
“Good. Take care of it,” Shannon replied as she reviewed the documents.
“Yes, Madam Shannon.”

“Boss, did you know? Titan Corporation is also interested in your new piece.”
“Titan Corporation? Not Carnival Central Media?” Yvette asked, surprised. Carnival Central Media was just a subsidiary of Titan Corporation.
“Yes, it’s Titan Corporation itself that wants your new piece. I’ve already filled in
the contact’s information.
“Also, remember that mysterious big shot who offered a fortune for your song? He agreed to not ask for exclusive rights. “Additionally, Zoey Yandell has returned to the country. If you want to collaborate with the Yandells, you could meet with her.”
Cynthia had meticulously planned
Yvette’s schedule-she would meet with Titan Corporation first, then the mysterious big shot, and finally Zoey, since it was clear who had the most money.
“No rush. There are still two days until Christmas.” Yvette thought for a while and asked, “Cynthia, don’t you think we should change our approach?” “What do you mean?” Cynthia was puzzled.
“I want to release the song myself. What do you think?” With the funds Xavier had given her, Yvette now had financial backing.
“Of course. It’s just that we’ve always sold the songs for money.”
“Exactly. So let’s release it first. If anyone wants licensing rights, we can negotiate later.”
“Got it.”
After ending the call, Yvette sank into the couch and closed her eyes to rest.
Suddenly, a large hand scooped her up from the couch. She opened her eyes to see Xavier’s handsome face close to hers.
“Go sleep in the bedroom. You’ll catch a cold if you sleep here.”
“When did you get here?” Yvette asked, puzzled.
Xavier felt a bit disheartened. He’d been there for a while and had heard
her conversation, yet she hadn’t ever noticed his presence. Clearly, she didn’t care enough about him. en.swhovels.net
“I just got here,” he lied.
“Oh.” Yvette brushed off his hand. “I just want to rest on the couch for a bit. You don’t need to worry about me.”
However, Xavier pulled her into his arms. After all, it had been two days since he’d last seen her..
