Chapter 94 The Decision To Relocate

Then we won’t hide. Freya declared, taking a deep breath and rubbing her face, her eyes glinting with a frosty resolve.
Peyton was taken aback.
Freya continued. “Inform the landlord. If he insists on us vacating the house, he must compensate us with 20 thousand.”
“But where will we go after we leave here?” Peyton asked, her voice laced with concern.
Freya picked up the area map they had previously sketched and explained, “I’ve located Ares. His last name is Lloyd. He’ll assist us in leaving Saeville in a few days. We just need to buy some time with the landlord. When the time comes, we’ll take the refund he gives us and depart. To avoid arousing suspicion. you must demand compensation for our losses when you speak with him tomorrow. Claim that we have a sick family member and are in dire need of money, otherwise, we’ll never agree to surrender the house.”
Peyton exhaled a sigh of relief. She hadn’t anticipated that Freya’s negotiations with Ares would conclude so swiftly.
“Alright! Let’s celebrate! I’ll whip up some instant noodles, eggs, and ham.”
Freya couldn’t help but chuckle at Peyton’s enthusiasm. Watching Peyton bustling about in the kitchen, Freya felt a surge of affection.  Ads by PubFuture

Peyton… Freya murmured.
“Hmm? What is it?” Peyton called from the side room where she was cooking. The building was old, requiring her to light a fire and burn coal for cooking.
Thick smoke filled the room, causing Peyton to choke and cough. Freya stepped in to help fan the flames.
“Peyton, when we get to Porejimo, I promise to give you a good life.”
Peyton wiped the sweat off her brow, her face smeared with a bit of dust.

“Fay, I’ll hold you to that! When you find Mr. Rivera in Porejimo, work hard and use your smarts! I’ll be counting on you to take care of me since I don’t know anything. Don’t forget me!”
“Don’t worry. I won’t forget you.” Freya laughed, feeling a sense of relief at the prospect of leaving Saeville
soon.
When Jacob left Saeville, he had given her the address of Pontenero. He mentioned it was an old castle his grandfather had purchased, and something had gone awry.
He was heading there to sort it out. He promised the castle was beautiful and that he would take Freya there once everything was settled. However, there had been no word from Jacob since then.
Freya decided to go to Pontenero first to find Jacob, then reach out to several friends in the design field abroad to secure her livelihood before planning her next move.

In the following days. Freya stayed home to look after Linda while Peyton went out to shop and negotiate with the previous house seller.  Ads by PubFuture

The seller, realizing his mistake, agreed to refund Peyton and compensate her with 20 thousand. He would wait for the re–transfer and calculate the demolition funds later. After Peyton received the money, she arranged with the seller to move the following day.
Freya didn’t dare to hire a moving company. After all, those companies would have internet access. Given Nathaniel’s influence in Sacville, it was likely that those companies had ties with him.
Even if Nathaniel didn’t possess such capabilities, Freya knew he had a computer network expert on his side.
Her internal accounts in the Gomez family had all been hacked. After much contemplation in prison, she suspected that Nathaniel had a network expert in his entourage.
Therefore. Freya dared not use any modern conveniences.
