Chapter 249 Meeting
After working out the first phase of the deal, Mandy invited Freya out for a meal. Since she knew that Mandy had something to tell her, she agreed.
They picked a vegan restaurant in their city and apparently, more people were eating a vegan diet then. The restaurant looked very rustic and it felt special. The construction had a more ancient design as a channel ran through every room. Each dish was specially designed. Since Taylor was also quite the powerful man, and although he was driving Freya around, they decided to eat in a vip room as her assistant. Mandy was annoyed at how still Taylor was when he joined them. So, she took a sip of tea, glanced at Taylor, and secretly judged him. She could not believe how strict Nathaniel was to Freya as Taylor was so clingy to Freya. Nathaniel’s love for Freya would feel suffocating to any normal person.
Soon, the waiter served them their food as Mandy got up and handed Freya her food before filling up Taylor’s tea. “Here’s your tea, Mr. Taylor. Please try some, it has herbs in it!”
“Thank you,” replied Taylor as he picked up his cup as a form of respect. However, he seemed almost devoid of any emotion then. Mandy was quite attractive and had a huge smile when she served Taylor. Regardless, she was still considered a CEO, but Taylor did not seem to feel that way about her. However, Taylor was still quite the manager as he was able to manage the workload of ten minor company managers. When Nathaniel built his company, he was quite generous to his friends. He gave them shares to his company and even gave them dividends and bonuses.
Apparently, Taylor’s pay despite being Nathaniel’s driver and bodyguard was incredibly high and even had his own properties abroad. Jacob had the biggest cut since he brought in clients. However, they went their separate ways and him leaving hurt the company.
It seemed that Mandy did not give up on Taylor as she poured him some liquor. However, he replied, “I’m sorry, Ms. Mandy. I can’t drink. I still need to drive Ms. Freya back later.” Taylor looked annoyed as he covered his cup with his hand. After that, Mandy began discussing design problems with Freya. “Oh no!” Mandy got up and handed some napkins to her. She said, “There’s a washroom over there, Ms. Freya. Do you want me to go with you?”
“Sure, thank you, Ms. Mandy.” They got up and went to the washroom. This made Taylor frown as he got up as well. However, Mandy said, “Mr. Taylor, you don’t have to tag along.
