Chapter 84
Katrina’s POV
After what seemed to be forever, my last class came to an end and I couldn’t help the sigh of relief that escaped my lips. Imagine sitting for hours and not understanding anything being taught. I’m certain a lot of us have been there once or a lot. I didn’t even wait for a minute longer, grabbing my bag and making my way out of the building.

It was obvious I was eager to leave, waiting around would only bring a lot of wanted attention. And I didn’t want any anyone trying to socialize with me and calling me ‘new girl.
I wanted to study, but I said nothing about socializing with the people.
Just as I stepped off the last stair, I spotted Silas leaning against his black car. It seemed as if he was waiting for someone, but who?
He looked completely out of place for this setting. He had rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, showcasing the tattoos littered on his arm. People around stared at him, clearly drawn to his aura. I’m not the type to say some cringe shi, but right now, it was peak.
His sharp gaze fell on me the moment I appeared and my steps flattered.
He was waiting for me? But why? I thought we would have all gone our separate ways.
“Katrina,” he called out and I stiffened.
Even if he wanted to wait for me, why was he here? Couldn’t he wait somewhere more private?
Just relax Katrina, and walk past. Act like you didn’t see him. But that was easier said than done as his eyesight followed my every step.
I walked past him, pretending not to notice, but of course, he wasn’t going to let me off that easily.
“Get in the car,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
I turned to him, folding my arms across my chest. “No.”
Why does he think that just because he says so, then I’d do

Silas straightened, his brows arching. “No?”
“People are watching,” I hissed, keeping my voice low. “I don’t want rumors starting.”
His lips curved into a smirk, the kind that made me wa possibly start, Katrina? We’re already married.”

Heat rose to my cheeks. “They don’t know that. And
you
don’t see this as a real thing, do you?” I signaled between us.
He had said that himself.
His smirk widened but he doesn’t say anything to that.
“Silas, I’m not getting in your car,” I said firmly, glancing around nervously as more students began to notice him.
His

darkened, and I knew I’d just made a mistake. In one swift motion, he closed the distance between us and grabbed

my wrist.
“Silas, don’t you dare-“
Before I could finish, he hoisted me over his shoulder as if I weighed nothing. A loud gasp escaped my lips, and I instinctively clutched his jacket to steady myself.
“Silas, put me down!” I yelled, my voice louder than I intended.
The chatter around us stopped, and I could feel the stares of every student close to us. My face burned with embarrassment, but that wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was how my body reacted to this-my stomach twisting, heat pooling low in my belly. My ass was in the air, completely exposed to the crowd behind us, and I could feel the sway of his strides with every step he took toward the car.
“Silas, people are staring!” I protested, squirming against his grip.
“Good,” he said, his voice calm but laced with irritation. “Let them see what happens when your defy me.”.
“Hey! Put her down!”
I froze at the familiar voice and twisted my neck to see Aiden pushing his way through the crowd. Oh no.
Why couldn’t he just ignore, he’s only going to make this worse.
Silas stopped in his tracks, his entire body tensing. Slowly, he turned to face Aiden, who was now standing a few feet clutching his backpack like it was a weapon.
“Stay out of this,” Silas said coldly, his voice like a blade slicing through the tension.
Aiden didn’t back down. “You can’t just carry her off like that! She’s not-“
away,
“She’s mine,” Silas interrupted, his tone sharper, deadlier. “And if you don’t want to find out what happens when someone crosses me, I suggest you walk away.”
I opened my mouth to say something, but before I could, Silas shifted his grip on me and delivered a sharp smack to my ass.
A loud gasp escaped my lips as my jaw dropped in shock.
The sound was deafening, cutting through the silence. My breath hitched, my body jolting from the impact.
“Silas!” I yelped, mortified. My hands shot to cover the burning spot, but his arm held me firmly in place.
“Quiet,” he commanded, his voice low enough that only I could hear. “This is your punishment.”
Punishment?
My head spun as a mix of emotions flooded me-shame, anger, and something far more dangerous. I could feel the heat

I was getting turned on in a situation like this, my cheeks turning pink.
“Put her down!” Aiden demanded again, stepping closer.
Silas didn’t even glance at him. “Walk away. Now.” It wasn’t a request, right now that sounded like a threat.
When Aiden hesitated, Silas delivered another sharp slap to my ass, making me gasp once again. The noise seemed to snap Aiden out of his bravado, and he finally stepped back, his expression a mix of anger and confusion. 2/3

Satisfied, Silas turned and resumed walking toward the car. I didn’t dare look up, too mortified by the stares I could feel burning into my back.
But as much as I wanted to sink into the ground and disappear, I couldn’t ignore the way my body was reacting. The heat, the tension coiling inside me-it was overwhelming.
I hated him for humiliating me like this. Hated myself more for how it made me feel.
Silas opened the car door and tossed me inside without a word, slamming it shut behind me. I sat there, my cheeks flaming, my heart racing, as the car pulled away from the school. And as much as I tried to push it down, I couldn’t ignore the traitorous thought that lingered in the back of my mind:
Why did it feel so good?
