Chapter 36 William rushed over by car. He spotted Lucy, who was waiting anxiously by the side of the road. “Mr. Porter…” Lucy went up to William immediately. “What happened? Where’s Hayley?” William asked? Lucy recounted the incident to him. In a concerned voice, she said, “It’s been half an hour since Hayley was taken by them. I’m not sure if anything else happened to her. Who is Mr. Weston? Weston? Wiliam was also acquainted with the upper class society in Yonada. Naturally, he had heard about Weston before. He was a big shot from the Moore family. He was Ann’s uncle. But, what sort of grudge would such a big shot have against Hayley? William couldn’t wrap his head around it. “Please think of something, Mr. Porter. Hurry. We can’t afford to have anything happen to Hayley,” Lucy urged anxiously. William could only brace himself and say, “Let me make some calls.” He made a few consecutive phone calls. The people on the receiving end indicated that they were not close to Weston. That being said, one of them informed William of Weston’s address. “I’ve got it. Let’s go to Mr. Weston. I will ask him to release Hayley in consideration of my father,” William said while putting on a bold face. “Thank you, Mr. Porter. We’re lucky to have you.” Lucy was extremely grateful. Thereafter, William and Lucy hurried over to Weston’s place of residence. Ann and Wyatt linked arms and walked into Weston’s villa. The villa was massive. It was as big as a few soccer fields. There was a huge lawn in front of the house. There was a carpet along the path. It led all the way to the living room. “Mr. Weston, Ms. Ann has arrived,” Lance reported. Chapter 36 2/3 “How many of them are there?” Weston got up to his feet. He had eyes “It seems like there are… just two of them.” Even Lance was in disbelief. “What? Just two of them?” Weston looked stunned. “Are you certain?” like a hawk. “Yes, I’m sure. Ms. Ann is with a young man. Based on his looks, that man should be Wyatt,” Lance explained. “Wyatt! That’s wonderful!” Weston gritted his teeth. He smirked. “Since both of them have come together, we can get rid of both of them in one clean sweep. It doesn’t matter whether Wyatt has any supernatural powers. You are not walking out of this door today, Wyatt!” Before Ann got to the hall, Weston went up to her enthusiastically. They entered the hall after exchanging greetings. A large table had already been set up here, along with a few seats. They chatted in a friendly manner, as if they were close family. They looked like a pair of uncle and niece who shared a strong bond. Wyatt was sitting by the side. He was sneering on the inside. He wasn’t used to watching the pretentiousness of these powerful people. They were people who were ready to take each other out. Yet, they were still acting so friendly on the surface. He had already observed that there were at least 50 men in this hall who were waiting to ambush them. There were more than 100 men if he were to include those who were in the yard. It was not an exaggeration to say that this was a lion’s den. Weston and Ann were still chatting. They seemed to have endless conversation topics between the both of them. While Weston was talking, he kept glancing over at Wyatt. Not long after, a table full of warm dishes were served. There were more than 30 dishes altogether and they filled the entire table. All the dishes looked delicious. “Dig in, Ann. These are all dishes that you loved to eat when you were young.” Weston gestured to them to start eating. The smile on his face looked superficial. “You too, Wyatt. Make sure that you eat to your heart’s content today.” “I’m not here to feast!” Wyatt stood up. Without any hesitation, he flipped the table. All 30–something dishes were strewn across the floor. It was a mess. “You…” Wyatt’s sudden outburst made Weston’s face change. Ann was astonished too. “I know what’s going on here, Weston. Stop putting on an act here. Get all your hidden men to show themselves,” Wyatt said straightforwardly.
