Chapter 35 A wave of heat flushed through his body. He pounced on Hayley like a hungry lion. Hayley struggled with all her might, but it was of no use. She was unable to move her limbs. She could only make muffled cries from her mouth. In the blink of an eye, her skirt had been ripped. Her long, fair–skinned legs were exposed. Her sexy legs were laid bare. Weston became aroused. The veins on his forehead were popping. He was about to take it another step further when someone knocked on the door. “Damn it. Can’t it wait until later? Don’t you know that I’m busy right now?” Weston asked coldly. “Mr. Moore, Ms. Ann has agreed to attend the dinner tonight,” reported Lance Stephens, Weston’s butler. “Ms. Ann” was how the Moores addressed Ann. “What did you say?” Weston froze. Immediately, he stopped what his hands were doing. All the heat that was surging in him suddenly dissipated. He had failed his mission at Tivoli Mansion. Due to that fact, he was now at a dead end. Thomas had begun to target him now. Hence, he could only go all in. He had to eliminate Ann in order to turn the tables around. This was like a revolution. It was a classic case of a government being overthrown. The winner would be king! As the saying went, the winner took it all! Hence, Weston had conspired to organize a dinner. He invited Ann by giving an excuse saying that he wanted to make peace. Even so, he knew that Ann was a smart woman. It was highly unlikely for her to show up. As such, Weston hadn’t put too much hope into it either. To his surprise, she had agreed to attend the dinner? “Are you sure about that?” Weston doubted the authenticity of this piece of news at first. “Yes, I am. Ms. Ann herself called and informed me,” reported Lance, Weston’s loyal butler. Chapter 35 “She asks you to make the necessary preparations.” “Got it.” Weston waved a fist in excitement. He bound Hayley back on the bed carelessly before heading back out of the room to make arrangements. “You will not be leaving this place this time, Ann. It’s time for you to meet your tragic end.” A vicious expression came across his face. At 7:00 pm, Ann arrived at Lakeview Villa as agreed. Wyatt came too, as her partner. “Are you sure that you want to walk into this lion’s den together with me?” Wyatt asked as he looked at the massive villa that was in front of him. He could already feel a bone–chilling energy coming from the villa. His plan was to go straight in and have Weston killed. It would be safer for Ann to wait outside. But, she insisted on entering the place with him. “Of course. I am the main protagonist for today. Of course I have to be present,” Ann said with a smile. She was wearing a simple black evening dress. She had let some of her curly dark hair down. There was a heart–stopping contrast between her dark–colored hair and her fair skin. Her high bun highlighted her perfectly long neck. Her fitting dress accented her slender waist. And, her fair–skinned legs between the slits of her dress was silently alluring. Her off–shoulder dress left her shoulders half–exposed. Hanging in front of her chest was a piece of emerald stone, which was giving off a faint gleam. Its color matched her skin tone perfectly. Ann showed up at the dinner looking glamorous. She was looking drop–dead gorgeous. “I’m unable to promise you that I will be able to keep you safe,” Wyatt stared at her earlobes. He felt an urge to tease her. “We may be walking in together now, but I might end up having to carry you out later on.” “I am a woman who loves taking risks.” Ann linked arms with Wyatt, as if she were a princess who was about to attend a ball. For some reason, he was able to give her a great sense of security. She was not at all nervous about walking into the lion’s den. She loved this feeling of skating on thin ice. This was a type of fatal romance. However, Wyatt’s next remark made this romantic feeling disappear completely. He said, “You have to hand me the Millennium Emberbloom once the job is done. Otherwise, you will face the consequences…”
