Chapter 70 Are You Falling For Her, Josiah?
Lysanne appeared to be in a frenzy as she struck out randomly. Mindful of her pregnancy, Josiah could only raise his arm to defend himself while ensuring she didn’t fall. Consequently, he received several heavy blows and even had his gold-rimmed glasses knocked off.
“Enough! Are you finished?” The female police officer yelled. “If you want to fight, take it outside the police station.”
Lysanne sat down with a huff while sulking as she turned her back. “I’m not going back with him!”
Josiah straightened his clothes and took a weary deep breath. “Have you let out all your anger?”
“No! Josiah, I’m telling you. This is not the end between us!”
He lowered his head and slowly rolled down the sleeve on his arm. “Fine. I’ll leave first then.”
“Josiah, how could you! I’m pregnant. Are you going to leave me alone outside? What if something happens-”
Josiah sneered. “When you and Lysander rushed into the middle of the road together today, weren’t. you afraid of something happening then?”

“Josiah, are you falling for her?”

He remained silent.
“Recently, you’ve been losing patience with me more and more. You used to be so patient and kind to me. Ever since you married this woman, you’ve been taking her side all the time!”
Taking her side?
Josiah smiled bitterly and was filled with regret.
The person he had been in love with for over twenty years was finally able to be with him. He used to think that Lysander would be the biggest obstacle.
Indeed, their relationship had no cracks at all. He unilaterally suggested a divorce and he was even prepared to offer her a large sum of money if Lysander caused a scene. He would allow her to live more comfortably in the latter part of her life.
Alternatively, he could also use his connections to assist her in her career.
But the obstacle he envisioned simply did not exist. She even decisively terminated the pregnancy to avoid any entanglements between them and the last bit of resistance between him and Lysanne disappeared.
However, what he never anticipated was why the girl he had waited for over twenty years would change like this after they finally got together.
Aiden Sutton remarked, “Could it be that Lysanne is naturally like this?”

Chapter 70 Are You Falling For Her, Josiah?
Aiden
was a few years younger than him and Aiden was a junior to both him and Lysanne.
But this kid was more of a playboy than him, with a different girl in the passenger seat every time he saw Aiden.
Aiden was the typical guy who treated women as disposable while being fiercely loyal to his friends.
Josiah used to look down on this kid’s behavior and was not willing to get too close to him.
But Aiden admired him…
Most likely because in high school, Josiah was not the elite student who studied hard, and being respected by so many people was not for nothing.
At that time, Josiah was also at his wit’s end. Lysanne made it clear that she didn’t like him and always mentioned the words “good friends” with him while firmly establishing their relationship. She even asked him to help arrange a meeting with Miles, as she wanted to confess to him.
He felt like his heart had been pierced by an arrow, so he decided to let loose and be carefree, becoming the person that everyone in school had to respect.
Aiden asked. “What happened next? Did you really leave Lysanne alone at the police station?”
“No.”
“Did you take her back home?”
“Yes.”
“What if she refused to leave and insisted on staying? What would you do?”
Josiah felt a headache whenever he thought about these things. He rubbed his temples and took a sip of the amber liquid in his glass. “I promised to buy her a bag.”
Aiden was dumbfounded. “Just like that?”
“Yes.” Josiah raised his glass and finished it in one gulp before summarizing, “A bag can cure all ills.”
“I can tell that you’re a hopeless romantic. You couldn’t possibly resist Lysanne and eventually, you must have given in.”
Josiah smiled wryly and signaled for the waiter. “Another drink please.”
Aiden continued to complain. “You and my brother are two fools in love, both captivated by women. You may appear sophisticated, but in reality, you’re both under the spell of women…”
“Your brother? Who is he?”
“Oh! My brother is Adrian Sutton. He went abroad at a young age and never studied in the country, so you wouldn’t have crossed paths with him.”
Josiah gripped the empty wine glass in his hand and the alcohol hit him all at once, causing him to
