Chapter 283 Come Over
“Is that so?”
“Lower it a bit more, so the cue stick is parallel to the table.”
“Is this okay?”
“Yes, then try to lower your upper body as much as possible and adjust your position, so that your line. of sight, the cue ball, and the object ball are all on the same line.”
“Can I hit it now?”
Adrian breathed in gently. “You’re still not lowering yourself enough, which messes up the straight angle.”
He stepped closer and gently pressed down on her shoulder. “Lower, just a bit more.”
Lysander adjusted it a bit further down.
“No, your body goes lower, but keep this supporting hand steady. Otherwise, the cue stick’s angle gets thrown off again.”
A bit anxious, Adrian came forward to adjust her hand’s position, lightly encircling her back to press her down gently. “Right, keep your hand steady and lower your upper body…”
“Ah! What are you two doing?” a woman screamed.
Lysander straightened up and turned her head.
It was Lysanne, and beside her was Josiah.
Zane stood beside them timidly, holding a glass. The water seemed quite hot, as he was only gripping the glass above the water line with two fingers.
He looked at her apologetically. “Dr. Thorne, I’m sorry. They don’t have a kettle here, and it took a while to find one. Sorry to keep you waiting.”
He passed the water over,
Lysander reached out to take it, but Adrian was quicker. “It’s still a bit hot. Let it cool before you drink
it.”
Lysander said nothing.
She felt Josiah’s gaze was more scorching than the cup.
Adrian smiled slightly. “Mr. Guerra, are you free today to bring Mrs. Guerra out to play?”
Josiah gave Lysander a long look before meeting Adrian’s eyes. “I heard you have a girlfriend too, Dr.

Adrian’s smile deepened. “She’s busy.”
Josiah didn’t dwell on the topic and reached out to grab Lysander’s wrist. “Come with me.”
“Mr. Guerra.” Adrian also held Lysander’s hand. “I’m teaching Lysander. There are plenty of pool tables
here for you to use.”
Josiah sneered, “Can’t I teach her?”
“Your wife is right here. Are you just going to leave her standing around? That’s not very nice.”
Josiah said coldly, “Adrian, I’m giving you a pass because of your brother Aiden, but you should understand my stance. Don’t get in my way.”
Adrian gestured behind Josiah. “The way is behind you. In front of you, there’s only a wall.”
Tension filled the air. Meanwhile, Aiden was obliviously assisting two heated ladies at a distance, and Zane was sweating nervously.
“Everyone, let’s talk calmly.”
Adrian tilted his head, smiling slightly. “We’re not arguing or fighting. How is this not calm?”
Looking worried, Lysanne tugged on Josiah’s sleeve. “Josiah, this is a public place. Don’t make a scene.”
Josiah glared at her. “Do I look like someone who avoids trouble?”
Lysanne’s face turned pale. “I didn’t mean that. I just meant… how about both of you let go? Dr. Thorne’s wrist is turning white from the pressure.”
Adrian let go first.
Josiah hesitated for a couple of seconds before releasing his grip too.
Even though Lysander was held by two people, there was only one set of fingerprints on Lysander’s delicate wrist.
Adrian chuckled. “Mr. Guerra, you have quite a grip. Lysander’s hands are meant for treating patients. If she gets hurt, will you take responsibility?”
“Sure, I’ll take responsibility,” Josiah said, looking at Lysander again. “Come here.”
Lysander flexed her sore wrist. “If you have something to say, just say it.”
“There are other people here. It’s inconvenient.”
“There’s nothing between us that can’t be said in front of others. Speak now, or don’t speak at all.”
Josiah’s brow furrowed, his gaze turning cold.
Knowing him well, Zane quickly grabbed his arm. “Calm down, Josiah, calm down…”

“Are you going to speak or not?”
“Do you know Harry and his mother went to see Priscilla?”
“I know. Lynn just called. They were thrown out by Dr. Ziegler.”
“Then do you know that Harry doesn’t want to marry Lora anymore?”
Lysander’s face changed. “What happened? Did Lora’s identity get exposed? Or is Zachary up to some tricks again?”
“Say something!”
“I’ll say it.” Josiah pointed to the ground in front of him. “Come here.”
